She nodded and pressed her lips to his. "Now." she whispered against them. Her heart, she knew, was beating faster.

He returned her kiss, tears in his eyes. Taking a deep breath, he bit into his wrist and held it out in front of her.
Then Niko took a deep breath, looking her in the eyes before lowering his head and biting her neck, drawing blood immediately. He tried to keep his thoughts on her but he found it difficult. The taste of her blood drove him wild as his fangs went deeper as his eyes glowed red. He forgot about Nienna as he raised and dropped his head, meaning to strike with nothing but desire before he quickly remembered what he was doing.
Trembling slightly he pulled his teeth away, his mouth dripping blood and waited.

She took his wrist as he offered it, frowning at the irony taste of his blood. Buy she drank, then pulled away, his eyes found hers before he lowered his head. He breath caught as a searing pain shot through her body. His fangs went deeper and she cried out, sending magic around their child to protect him. She gasped as she felt her life leaving her. The burning pain in her neck taking over her body as she dove into a black world. She knew nothing, she felt nothing after that. The baby moved inside her, surrounded and protected by her magic. Her heart slowed, and stopped beating. Then a new life took over. Changing her, she was yanked out of the black world by burning pain, then, it was over, and she drew breath. Her eyes opened slowly, the red fading from them as the transformation completed itself.

Niko could only watch as the life left her body, only to return moments later. He watched her, noting the flashing red from her eyes as she began to return to the world.

She was shaking, and felt something fall from her face, as a scab might feel falling from the skin. She reached up, and recoiled in shock. She could no longer feel her scars? What was this? Were Vampyrs perfect in appearance? She gasped for air, her hands going to Niko's, then to her belly, and she breathed with relief, as their child was still moving.

Niko watched in disbelief as Nienna no longer bore any scars. He reached out and lightly touched her cheek, noticing how much smoother it was now.
He made eye contact with her and gave her a small smile, glad she was safe.

She watched his hand go to her face, and the touché just seemed magnified. She wondered what he thought. She looked at him, and gave him a teary eyed smile, then hugged him tightly. She really wasn't sure what would happen now, what obsticals she would face. She knew she could no longer go out in daylight, and she wouldn't want to botherthe wizard again.

He returned her embrace just as tightly as her, overjoyed that both she and their child were safe.
Laying his head against her, he spoke, his voice barely a whisper.
''How do you feel?''

She hadn't even thought about it. How did she feel? She felt aware. Alert. Invincible. She swallowed "Like I need to keep my head in check." she her quiet response.

He nodded, and as he understood her words ,he couldn't stop a twisted smile appearing on his face as he remembered the night before.
He held her closer, unwilling to release her.
''It shall be an amazing eternity'' he said with a small laugh.

"Well, considering I'll only see you at Night unless you decide to come in out of the sun." she teased him. Suddenly, she felt hungry. But she did not crave bread or water. Her teeth started to hurt, and she frowned.

His grin broadened at her words.
''Yes I feel that you shall look terribly pale when compared to me'' he said, grinning.
As he noticed her actions he reached out to lay his hand on her shoulder.
''It shall pass. Ale always helped my cravings'' he said, remembering when he had first awoken with the terrible head ache.
''Do you wish to return inside?''

She slapped his arm. "I was always more pale than you anyway, oaf!" she she spoke, her fangs clearly showed. She would have to take a while to get use to this. She nodded. "I would. Although I want you to carry me." she nodded decidedly.

He raised his eyebrow and then stood, bowing in mock fashion.
''Of course, your highness.'' he had intended it sarcastically, but then realized that she was in fact royalty.
He lifted her up and turned to walk back into the house, turning to take a last look at the view.
''It is beautiful, is it not?''

"It is! And I enjoyed seeing it one last time in the daylight." she said wistfully. She really would miss it, and she looked at his ring jealously. Too bad it wouldn't fit her. She laid her head on his shoulder. This was the on she would spend eternity with. Literally, eternity.
