To have emotion is very precious to me. Without life wouldn't hold the same joy as it does for me now. Don't you just love those little random spurts of excitement you get? For some reason, when I get excited, I laugh. I can't help it, it just comes out. It's a wonderful feeling.

Ms.Gamgee wrote: Well, honestly Darrell, an emotionless life would be rather bland. I mean, we might not even be here talking about this if it weren't for emotion. Because the love of LOTR wouldn't even exsist so this forum would be completely unknown to us, for instance. Emotion is a wonderful thing, it allows us to feel and think, and honestly emotion is and this ability to think is what separates us from bieng just animals.
Ok, I concede. I think I lost this little debate No way I can pitch a counter arguement against that. However, the ability to feel emotion doesn't seperate us from animals, they feel emotion too (though perhaps less intricate than us) the supposed human intelligence seperates us from 'animals'. Our emotions seperate us from machines. But you are right. Emotion keeps the world interesting. But sometimes I wish some emotions would go an affect someone else, and give me a rest

^But I can totally see where you're coming from Darrell. It's a valid point. Emotions being nonexistant would rid the world of pain, but also of joy.
So yeah...I wouldn't say you "lost."

^Nope! Welcome, Greyham37!
Glad to have another expert ...too bad there aren't more on guys. It seems the conversation is dominated mostly by the analysis of girls.
Or maybe it's just me.

Unfortunately, Gwen, the time spent in the 'pain' section seems to outweigh the time in 'joy'.
I did 'lose', I think, because what Ms.Gamgee says is true. Life would be boring without emotions.

^Guys are weird. Commit it to memory.
I know how you feel. All of a sudden in 3rd block today this guy I like turns around and tells me that he likes this girl and can't get his mind off of her, and then asks if that's love. I told him it was infatuation, and he just looked confused.
He shook it off a proceeded to tell me that she was very pretty and how much he loved her. And then he says she's on his myspace top friends at space number three and to go check it out.
Being the good friend I am, I did and guess who was at his number 3 spot?
ME!
So now I've been flipping out because yeah, I like this guy, but I'm not sure about going out with him because my best friend and I both like him.
So now it's a weird and overall awkward situation and my friend is pointing fingers at me and saying that if I'm a real friend I won't go out with him and that guys can't come between our friendship.
But I know for a fact that if it were the other way around she'd already be dating him! It's not fair!

Definitely time to bring this club back! I found it on page 5! Yikes!
We've got to have something to say...anything new now that summer has started?
Ohh, I think this summer I'm going to read Wild at Heart, a book by the Christian author John Eldrege about...well...how can I put this?...men. A lot of women read it, too, so don't start throwing rocks at me, or worse, make false assumptions.
I think it should be interesting. There's a chapter on women, so yeah.

"Discovering the secrets of a man's soul", eh Gwen?
*raises eyebrow*
Just kidding with you. I've actually read it myself so I shouldn't be poking fun.
Do you like it? I wasn't so sure at first because of the fact it features well.. what goes on in mens' heads, but it really wasn't too bad and it offered some amazing insight on a personal level. I've heard people either love or hate this book. I think I'll be somewhere in the middle.

Oh gosh. I've been flipping out all day. Last night I was at a party, and I was talking with one of my guy friends, and he told me that our friend likes me.

^Ohh, that would definitely have me stirred up.
lol Larael. I'm just a sucker for this kind of stuff -- I'm actually considering becoming a counselor when I "grow up" because I'm so interested in people's emotions, motivations, and what they're really feeling. I love learning about people.
Really? You've read it? I haven't actually started it yet, but I hope to soon.

Um, any help? This particular problem still stands...

I've been freaking out lately, because I really don't know what to do about the problem(lack of experience;) ) Our friend also told me that he was going to tell me, but he decided not to at the last mintue. I feel kind of sorry for him, actually. He must have been really nervous, due to the fact that I have a reputation for being very anti-romantic. I think he really wants to tell me, but I don't really like him so if he does, I don't really know what to say. The last thing I want to do is hurt his feelings.
Captain Turner, I really don't know what to tell you. Like I said, I have a serious lack of experience in this sort of area.
