^Haha, yeah, Darcy's great, but Mr. Bingly is 10 times better in my book! He's so sweet and tender to Jane. And also open and polite and refined in a good nature. *clasps hands together*

I also have this idea of a buisness man in a sharp suit whose got a good job, and I kind of bash into him on his way to work, and he drops all his things, and I'm sort of in town on a day trip and then we meet again in a cafe when he's on break or something like that. :eyeroll: I was inspired by a jewellery advert that comes out each Christmas.

*oops, this was in response to Lar!*
:D I know, I would love a Darcy! Any guy that great who would put up with my stubborness is a guy for me. :teehee: Plus I like quiet guys. I've been told they're not as 'safe' as other guys, but then they have this enigmatic level that can be SO interesting.
Ooh...I'm sounding like a fangirl or something.
*hides*

As far as names go...I am entirely schitzophrenic. I love traditional names and have a list of those sort of names I would like: my top names (this is sort of a baby-name list) are Anna, Elizabeth, and Catherine for girls, and William, Sam[wise] :P and James for boys. (Though I'd probably cave and name my son Samuel instead of Samwise. I wouldn't want the poor guy teased or anything. ;) ) Then again...I'm attracted to weird name spellings, or weird names in general. I also love the name Maia for a girl. It isn't entirely weird, but it is sort of unorthodox. And it's Tolkein. :P

*edit* In response to the other replies: Well, you gotta love Bingley too. ;) But I never really, really liked him like I like Darcy.

As for meeting-situations...hehe, I really can't keep mine straight. But I like yours, JF, it's so different from anything I ever thought up. Mine always require an unusual event to start them off, I guess...something completely unrealistic that leaves us in a desperate, movie-liek situation. (Hey, while I'm fantasizing, why not go all nine yards? :teehee: )

Wheee! *joins in the fangirly-ish-ness*

I love different spellings of more traditional names. That's why I like the name Jamie spelled Jaime. It's not something people would expect. Although I'd have to watch for people pronouncing it 'jaym'. :P

That was my first reaction. :P But the pronunciation Jai-me makes more sense when you think about it.

Poor Bingly. I don't think I've met one other person who likes him as much as Darcy. :P
EDIT: Of course when I say I like Bingly better, I mean the '95 BBC version, not the dopy, red-haired boy. He's nothing compared to the real one.

I think it'd be ironic if we met at a wedding. :D Other than that, I haven't thought of many meeting situations. Except with the whole engagement thing. I have that all planned out. ;)

@ Rin: Agreed.

Ah, I have yet to see the '95 BBC version so I guess I can't say much about that particular Bingley. Darcy though, he's good just about any where and any time. :P

@ JF: Aww! How romantic.. and slightly cliché. :teehee:

@Lar:  But aren't most romantic things cliché by now? :teehee:

@Gwen: Ooh. I was thinking of the more recent version. :P I have seen the '95 version, but for the life of me I can't remember Bingley in that one! Ah! *runs around in circles* I'll have to borrow it sometime. :D

Darcy's great in that one, too. Colin Firth is the man. And the actress who plays Elizabeth has, in my opinion, more depth than Kiera.

Aww, but Kiera didn't do to horribly! She almost won an Oscar actually..

@ Rin: That they are! :P

Ah yes, well, all in my humble opinion anyway. ;)

But then again, I shouldn't be discussing Knightly's performance in this thread/club. Anyone have any topic suggestions? It's been ages since we've had a good one.

I can't really think of anything. :P But before we change the subject--I think Keira acted wonderfully in P&P. They're criticizing her over in the Pirates thread, too. I don't get it, I think she does just fine if not better. I mean, nobody's perfect, but I thought she was pretty good. Everyone has their own opinion, I suppose.

Okey, I'm done. :)

No, no, I agree. She's definitely improved a lot. I mean, she's still got a ways to go before she's up with the likes of say, Johnny Depp [who is an acting masterpiece], but she isn't too bad.

And before we change the subject I wanted to say that I found a book at the bookstore today called "Dating Mr.Darcy". It's all about finding your "Mr.Darcy" in today's world. I thought it'd fit perfectly with what we were talking about. :P

Hmm.. we should ask our gentlemen that question. :) *looks pointedly at the lads*

I dunno, I've never read it, but I think I may go back and buy it. :)
