I'd not call Slayer death metal...they're Thrash/Speed. But that's not important.lol
They are definetly an aqquired(sp?) taste. When I was younger (say 15/16) I'd only listen to thrash/death/black/doom metal..needless to say I've grown up immensely since then. I still love some of those bands, but my spectrum of taste is vastly broader than it once was.

What kind of music do Slayer play? Is there a melody in it at all? Or is it just...noise? I only know that BG think they're a good band... (even though none ofthem seems to listen to them in their freetime....)

Slayer aren't known for there melody. Some call it noise..I call it...organised chaos.

They play very loud, very fast, very aggressive thrash metal. People at school (yes I remember that far back )used to accuse of me being a Satanist because of my Slayer shirts ect.

I hate that sort of narrowminded ignorance. Unfortunately something I've had to deal with and to a lesser extent deal with today. People mock what they do no understand.

That's unfortunately a misconception about Lucifer though. That he is Satan, he isn't. Lucifer means bringer of light, he was the first Angel. Loved above all the others. The thing about Angels is, they cannot change what they are. Beings of pure love and light, there will is tied to God. So...Lucifer can't be evil...if you follow that line of thinking that is.

Lucifer once was one of the 5 archangels (now it's 4, Uriel, Raphael, Michael and Gabriel, so he ISN'T an angel anymore!), but he's a fallen angel. He rose up against god.Yes, he was the bringer of light, but like in the old legends, when I-don't-remember-his-name brought the humans fire and has been punished by the gods....Maybe (!) Lucifer brought the humans knowledge(or whatever can be described with "light") that should have remained unknown...... There are always connections between religions... (at least if you want to see them *g*). So, he IS the devil after all. I don't mean he's some red, horned man with a trident who roasts ppl in hell...that's te devil is usually seen like today. I also dont think he can't be too bad, he's just a poor guy,(like e.g. Mordred) I feel sorry for him..... (DON'T beat me, PLEASE!) I'm serious, I feel sorry for him.....For me the devil is a fallen angel, nothing else...but don't tell a cleric *g* they would excommunicate me lol....but....on the other hand....I can't be "turned away from god"... I believe in god, and no human on earth can damn me for eternity...only god can. and I don't think he will...Or at least I hope so I'll quit here now, or might be getting boring..... Because once I start talking about religion I won't stop again
