My favorite scenes? That's a tough one!
1. Up is Down - So creative, and so amusing! Though I wonder if it's really possible to turn a ship over like that.
2. Teatime with Jones, Will and Beckett! - I also loved this scene, especially when Beckett says "I believe you know each other..." and Will turns, smiles, and raises his cup!
3. Davy Jones' Locker - The rock craps were just great, and Johnny does such a great job! He could make Pirates 4 by himself if he wanted to!

Hello!
You're all so nice here!
I was sad when they killed Norrington too. And I have to admit, I didn't like Bootstrap at all after that. I mean, I know he had amnesia (apparently), but he didn't apologize for killing him.
I agree with Taurquende's comment about this film being Barbossa's chance to shine... he had such a pathetic amount of screen time in DMC (then again, he was supposed to be dead), which was more than made up for in AWE. Barbossa was hard to cut out of my favourite characters in AWE, but I couldn't leave Will out! *cuddles him*

PD, Great idea for a new topic! Personaly speaking my top three favorite scenes from At World's end (in order) would have to be...the scene where Will was stabbed. It was a bit of a love/hate thing. I hated that I might lose my very favorite character but I loved the amount of drama that was focussed around him. There was so much emtion in that one scene and not only on screen either. I was flat out bawling. When I go and watch a movie I like to feel and that scene really made me feel. That would ahve to be my very favorite scene throughout the entire series. After that I would pick the Willabeth scene. It was fun, in the moment, exciting, sweet, and a bit cheesy without going over board. That was the best on screen wedding of all time! Then my third choice would be the first scene with Jack (in the locker). At first I was really creeped out by it but onmce I realized what was going on, I loved it. That scene was unexpected, funny, and a great example Johnny Depp's talent.
Taurquende, It is not just you. Trust me if I was the Mrs. (Bootsrap) Turner I would have hunted him down and gave him quite a talking to. He certainly needed some fussing at.
Sisilcal, You are very welcome!
Um what I meant was that I do not think that he changed deep down...not his actions. I think that he would have reacted to Beckett stealing his heart the exact same way had it happened in Dead Man's chest rather than At World's end. I would have liked to have seen him kind of reform but I do not think that he ever did.
Ooh another fan of cutie William? (:swoon: over Will). (high fives Sisilcal)
Hmm very good question what would have happened to dear Norrington? I would like to think that he would have remained an admiral and perhaps met up with new a woman. How about Norrington and Anna Maria?

Because Will and Elizabeth are insufferable, and they really dont care abut who they affect with their actions, and i still believe that they were the two stiffest actors in AWE. They degraded from CotBP. There were very few bad performances, and Will and Elizabeth were in them.
Plus, i hate what Elizabeth made happen to Norrington, if she wasn't such a guilt tripper, Norrington would probably still be alive, and Will, well Will is just annoying.
And I will always as it seems, have a stupid view of Davy, so what if he's callous or cruel, he is good, deep down inside, and its all Calypso's fault anyways. If she had just been there, then we wouldnt be having this conersation. Really it is all Calypso's fault, because if she was there, then Davy wouldnt of been around to raise the Pearl, and then Barbossa and the crew wouldnt of gotten the curse, Elizabeth would of married Norrington and Will would of went on beinga blacksmith, and Jack would of just been Jack.

And i'm sorry to say, Will will always fall short in the thinking/acting like jack department, he just doesnt have it in him, he's too... oh i dont know... nobleish? Not really, but in that general direction.

Well, I don't mind the nobleness. And I agree, everything degraded from the first movie anyway. But I couldn't help but laugh when Jack was pacing around: "Think like Will, think like Will..." And as for them not caring who their actions affect, I can agree with that. That especially bugged me in AWE. That's why I looove one quote of Norrington's from the first movie: "By remembering I serve others, Mr. Sparrow, not only myself."
Also...no one has answered my question. What mark did Jack leave on Beckett in CotBP? People mentioned it but that makes no sense to me.

^No mark, since Beckett didn't really exist in CotBP, he had nothing to do with the story line. And even in DMC and AWE, we're not supposed to find out what mark was left.... its all very annoying to be sure.

Yeah, that is annoying. And that's why I was confused---Beckett wasn't even in the first movie.

Oo, yes, Up is Down is classic! And if Jack & Co. can flip the Black Pearl like that then I'm sure it's possible!

Dark Queen of Angmar, Thank you very much for answering my question. However that being said I still highly disagree. Well I disagree with you on allmost everything...I would agree that Elizabeth is very selfish though. However I do not see William as selfish. Will risked his life to save Bootstrap and "died" to protect Elizabeth.
RinielAranel, Oops I am sorry. I did not mean to forget to answer your question. As Dark queen of Angmar said we do not know for sure what mark Jack left on Beckett. Most of us (around here) think that it was either an emtional scar (Jack not following the orders he was given by Beckett previous the Curse of the Black Pearl) or a scar on his neck (perhaps from an encounter with Jack and his sword previous to Curse of the black pearl) since he seemed to grab at his neck when he mentioned the mark that Jack left on, in At world's end.
JF, Somehow I managed to forget to reply to you as well. (hits self in head. I am so scatter brained) Sorry. Ah yes that would make sense. They just seemed so friendly that it made me wonder. Sadly though I supose though that it is something that is left for avid fanfiction writters to ponder over. (sighs) I wanted to know!
I know what you mean! Honestly I could never forget Norrington's death and the fact that the writters (in my opinion) act like we should is rubbish. They still gave us that Bootstrap Bill happy ending and I hated it. What did he do to deserve a happy ending?!

*GASP* Okay, so I'm not lying in a faint. Interesting points, though. I agree that CotBP was their best performances, but I didn't think they were the worst actors in the last two. But then, I wasn't really thinking about that while I was watching it.
Good point about Norrington, though. I mean, he was only doing his job! He didn't want Gov. Swann to die, and he believed he was doing the right thing by serving Beckett.

They matured so much (the actors and the characters) Will and Elizabeth are just sooo naive and Elizabeth has a way of getting so annoying in CotBP. Okay, y'all are asking for it (kinda...mostly I just want an excuse). I don't have time to do it right now, and by the time I finished it would be way off-topic already, but later I'm going to post my list/essay on what makes every single character in PotC amazing, from Captain Jack himself all the way down to Mercer. They're all my favorites; I may have two or ten that I enjoy fractionally more than others, but there is not a single character I would want left out of PotC. So, here's your warning now that there shall be a PotR post to rival all others coming later.
