WHEE!!!!!! :jump: :jump:

I got the AWE soundtrack!!!! I'm listening to it now. :D It's SO great! :D :D :D (I LOVE I Don't Think Now is the Best Time!)

Right, so back in the discussion. :P

 A bunch of my friends would do that if they could. ;) I'd like to too, if I were brave enough. :P But, alas, the school rules forbid us. :teehee:

Completely understand that! :P That's happened to me countless time with money, jewelry, even once a little figure of a turtle. :P Gave my mother a shock, when she thought she saw a live turtle at the bottom of the dryer. I hope your PotC sticker is undamaged! :D

I agree, I don't think I could stand kissing Jack with the golden teeth and big mustache and beard. :confused2: Plus, he knocked Will unconcious with his breath, remember? :yuck: :teehee:

Well, I understand that! I can get pretty bouncy and hyper sometimes too. :P

True! Yeah, I think you have a point there.... well you can't feel sorry for me because I have fallen in love with books and movies! :teehee:

No, that's ok... it was a little funny... and strange   Hmmm, I think I might rather be Jack than kiss him too...
Now THAT sounds strange... and yet funny at the same time! your poor friends for getting to be in a dream like that!

Well, the road was so not like a road Beckett would have named after him... it was a small, dirt road... so that made it even funnier (IMO). :P

Yes, and a hero too. And without him Willabeth would not have been possible. :) Actually technically without him (and Lizzie's corset :teehee:) the whole movie wouldn't have happened, but anyhow...

Oh good, I'm not the only one like that! :P

No, I knew you were okay in that regard. :-D I'm MORE than okay... :P

No really?
Yeah, it was really weird...knowing them though, they'd actually do it. ;)

Oh yeah, I love the contradiction there. That's great! :-D

Isn't the soundtrack amazingness?!? My personal favorites are "One Day", "What Shall We Die For", and "Hoist the Colors", but "I Don't Think Now Is the Best Time" is a great track too. :-D I can't stop myself from yelling "JUST KISS!" at the right spot either. :P

I know, and what's really funny is, I know Devon and Travis would do it if they could! Maybe I would...I dunno...

Ah yes. Yet another reason to avoid his lips at all costs. :teehee:

Aww, I know exactly what you mean! Yeah, him, the corset, Calypso, Gov. Swann... the whole movie just completely randomly came together. :teehee:

Soundtrack = AWESOME! :D Those are great tracks too! I'm really glad they included the song in "Hoist the Colors." "One Day" is so epic, and so is "What Shall We Die For." Actually, the whole thing is epic! :D

I wish they'd kept in that line, too. :( Also, the scene about the unconditional marriage and when she calls him "A good man." To me, CotBP never really showed how much Norrie loved Liz. I got the impression that he was just marrying her because he needed to marry someone. :(

Edit: Have you guys ever tried the "Moonlight Becomes Ye" on the Collector's Edition CotBP DVD? It's really fun, here's me!

Well, sure...if Lizzie hadn't been standing up on that ledge with Norrie wearing that corset she wouldn't have fainted and fallen into the water, and the medallion wouldn't have called to the cursed pirates, and Barbossa and his crew would never have ransacked Port Royal and took Lizzie with them so Will and Jack would never have to go rescue her and...thus, no movie, see? :P

WOOT for epic soundtracks! :-D

Oh yeah, I liked that other scene too. Though I think Keira said it made her character look too mean and Norrie look too nice...that might be why they cut it out. Interesting you say something about that, did you know in the original draft of the movie Norrie was a villain who was only marrying Elizabeth for the power he'd get from it?

Woah, awesome! What's "Moonlight Becomes Ye"?! *is interested* (is the collector's edition the one with two discs?)

Hi FaeEowynTonks! :bye2: I'm probably the millionth person to welcome you, but one can never have enough welcomes. ;) So... welcome to A-U!

Ack... well, I guess I didn't really think about it that much. I tried to avoid reading anything because I didn't really want to spoil it. And PotC is so unpredictable to begin with. :P

Honestly, I kind of though Elizabeth and Jack would end up together. (Never said I wanted it that way. ;)) But they are very similar the way they'll do anything for something and with their carefully inprovised plans. :D

I also thought that Beckett would betray Norrie at some point. It actually ended up being the other way around, didn't it? :P

True, but if Cortez hadn't stolen gold from the Aztecs there would have been no curse in the first place. :P Wait... then there'd be no Will! :swoon: Nooooooooooo! :explode:

:teehee:

*Dances to epic soundtrack* [s]Yay![/s] Huzzah! :P

Really? I didn't know that! That's awful. :( I'm very glad they changed their minds. Poor Norrie... a villian! Wow, I just find that completely unimaginable.

Yeah, I think it is. I discovered this neat little feature today. :D If you put the 2nd disc into a DVD-Rom drive on your computer, it brings up "Moonlight Becomes Ye" which lets you upload a photo and turns it into a skeleton pirate! :D I've always wondered what I'd look like as a cursed pirate... and now I know! :P

First of all, I second Taur's welcoming!

Secondly, to answer your question, I never really try to figure out plot twists and whatnot...the only thing I really cared about in AWE was Will and Elizabeth ending up together and not dying. And I half got my wish, at least. ;)

No Will?! How terrible! :swoon: :teehee:

Huzzah indeed! :P

I'm glad too, though undeniably I would've been interested to see Jack Davenport do a character like that... I like *our* Norrie as is though.

OOH! I must go investigate! :bounce: Thanks!

Very much up and running! 209 pages, and counting, whoo! :D

And yes, I got it just the other day. :D (see crazy, estatic post at top of page :P)

PS. Welcome back! Haven't seen you around lately. :)

Mm, I hadn't thought of that at all! I thought that after the 2nd one, Barbossa had pretty much crossed over to the good side. ;)

Merpeope would have been great, though! I would have liked to see that. :D

Mmm, I don't know. Jack has such a noble face and cultured voice... I'd be hard for him to play someone so evil. ;)

You're very welcome! I hope you find it. :D

Anie Surion, You are welcome. I am glad that I was able to make you feel a tad bit better. :)
Yep that is what I meant. I just called her by her regular username, so that after the ball was over and I read back over it I would not get confused about who that (she) was. (I usaly just use ball names in the ball threads.) My memory fails me sometimes.
Ooh me to! Turner is just such a...beutiful name. Ah, maybe we will get lucky and later on we will be wed to men with the last name Turner. (continues to dream). :)
Ooh a PotC related dream...way cool! Hmm kissing Jack? Well, personaly he would certainly not be my first choice of a PotC character to kiss (that tittle belongs to dear William). However he certainly would not be last either. Johnny Depp as Jack did look quite cute...I might kiss him...if he were to eat a tic tac or two...or the entire box... ;) There were many bad things about Jack though too, so I can understand why you would not want to kiss him.
Really? Norrington was planned to be a bad guy...wow (takes a moment to think about that). Well, i am most certainly glad that they changed their mind on that one. I think that Jack probabley could have played a villian quite well (a cute one with that very cute voice of his...but still a villian). :-D However personaly I prefer goody two shoes to villians (most of the time) so I am glad that they had made him a good, noble, loving, caring, selfless, man.
Oh, I loved the deleted scene in CotBP when he discussed marriages without strings with Elizabeth. That was my favorite scene out of all the deleted scenes...actualy probabley one of if not my very favorite Norrington scene out of the entire series. That was really the scene that made me take a second look at his character (which lead to me actualy growing to like the character). So I Really wished that they had kept that scene in the movie. I must agree that it did make Elizabeth look awefuly mean though...

PD, thank you. lol Me too! :) The future might be cool but I would much, much rather just stay in the here and now where LotR and PotC are still going strong and allmost everyone knows what you are talking aobut when you "PotC or LotR. :)

Taurquende, You are welcome. :)
Congratulations on getting the soundtrack! Ooh that is a pretty cool track. My favorite tracks though are "Hoist the Colours" and "One Day". :) Oh, and don't you just love the pictures of the cast on the inside of the cover?

FaeEowynTonks, 'Ello and welcome to AU. I am Drew's Destiny. However you are more than welcome to call me DD, Destiny, or Drew for short. :) Nice to meet you. (shakes FaeEowynTonks' hand). Oh, and by the way really cool ship. (Tonks/Lupin) :)
Oh, very good question. Well, I thought that Will would rescue his father, Jack would return (of course :teehee: I guessed that one the moment I walked out of theatre from watching Dead Man's chest), and that Willabeth would end up together (though I nearly worried myself sick over their fate anyway and after a spoiler from Pirateoftherings that something would kind of stand in their way...there for awhile I was no longer so sure. lol Other than that though, I really did not guess as to what else might happen. I prefered to just read spoilers (inclueding quite a few from our nice and super generous Pirateoftherings). :)

Congrats on getting the AWE soundtrack! :) Oh, it is awesome, isn't it? Like one of the best soundtracks I've ever listened too! :-D Ooo, "I Don't Think Now is the Best Time" is great! I love quoteing the whole thing! :-D I really love the wedding scene music and the music at the start from when Will returns!
I love "Up is Down", "At Wit's End", I really like "Hoist the Colours" but I would've liked it better if they had included the whole song on the soundtrack.... oh, well! "One Day" is a beautiful track too... sad but beautiful.

That’s right! I had forgotten about Jack knocking Will out with his breath… :yuck:

Oh, yes! Total agreement! Norrie was such a sweet guy! Oh, if someone loved me that much (other than family :P) I would feel very special!

It is strange how the movie does take so many different things and puts them together to make this beautiful web of a story with so many little details in it... and they made it all come to a neat (ish) end where everything came together and made perfect sense.

nope, you're not.

 I imagine!

I'm happy you think the contradiction of Beckett's little road is great too! :P Poor Beckett and his dirt road...

yes, the soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard! It's... well, epic as Taur said!

Oh, I wish they had kept that line in CotBP too! :( Hmmm, I can understand how it could spoil the end now a little bit... :'( Poor Norrie! Yes, you and Taur are right! They should’ve kept more Norrie lines and scenes in in CotBP… they really didn’t show you how much Norrie loved Lizzie…
Hmmm, I dunno how it will effect your future AWE viewings but I'm sure it won't be in a bad way!

*gasps horrified!!! :swoon:* Nooooooo, my Norrie's not a villain! How could they have even started writing him as a villain! that's... that's, that's just WRONG!!!! :'( *gives Norrie a big hug* poor James... I couldn't imagine him as a villain... he's too sweet and noble and kind and.... (I could go on and on ;)) I think Jack could play a good villain but I can’t see Norrie being that villain.

Hi guys I wanna ask you something:before you watched AWE or read anything about, what twist-plots do you excpeted to be in the movie?

Hi and welcome to the site from me too, FaeEowymTonks! *waves*

hmmm, well, I really love hunting for spoilers so I don't really remember thinking of the plot-twists or anything like that for AWE.... although I had thought Norrington might get a bigger role and he might end up helping the pirates out a lot in the end... and I had thought Jack and Barbossa might come to a better understanding of each other… but I never even thought of Barbossa going bad again. I guess I figured he had turned a new chapter at the end of DMC... oh, and I always had to hold a little faith in Willabeth (Will and Elizabeth) and that they'd pull through in the end.... even though like Drew I worried a lot about Sparrowbeth actually happening... but other than that ASAP I tried to get as much info as quickly as possible on AWE. I always love a good, juicy spoiler. :P

Anybody get the soundtrack?

hey, yup, it's still up and running pretty strong! :-D

Yeah, I got the soundtrack the day it released… by now I have the whole thing memorized.

PD, thank you. lol Me too! :) The future might be cool but I would much, much rather just stay in the here and now where LotR and PotC are still going strong and allmost everyone knows what you are talking aobut when you "PotC or LotR. :)

I'm happy you agree! :-D I'm totally with you!
[s]Hurrah[/s]… or rather huzzah (;)) for the here and now! :P

P.S boy, you guys ran away with this thread! I’m happy to see more people join in the conversation and take interest in At World's End and all things Pirates! :) Huzzah!!!

Funny how the surname "Turner" is used so much in movies and stuff, but I've never met any real people with that name. *shrugs* Ah well. You never know, like you said one or more of us could end up being a Mrs. Turner someday. :-D
Erm...we each have our own taste, I guess. (no offense meant, but I've never found Jack cute...) Yeah, maybe he should have the whole box of tictacs, he clearly needs it. I have this thing about loyalty, so that may be one reason I don't care much for Mr. Sparrow (nor for Boromir from LOTR but I digress).
I'm glad to finally meet another female who prefers good boys to bad boys!!! You have NO idea the arguements I've gotten into because of that subject... :duh: anyhow, yes, I enjoy Norrie as is too. :-D
Yeah, but at least they put it on the DVD so you can watch it as many times as you want, and pretend it's in there. ;) :) (actually for a while I forgot one of Norrie's deleted scenes wasn't in the film...)

*gasps horrified!!! :swoon:* Nooooooo, my Norrie's not a villain! Lovely how that works, isn't it? That's the mark of good storytellers. :)

"The Irony of Cutler Road"...perhaps the makings of a short story, eh? :P :teehee:

*high fives fellow AWE soundtrack lovers* :)

Yes, now that I see the other side of the metaphorical coin, I can't enjoy scenes with all three characters in them the same way I used to...
Well, I kind of meant that since Norrie's killed off in such a terrible way in AWE, I'm not sure how I'm going to react to seeing it now that I've grown fond of him... :(

I can't really see "Evil Norrie" either, as interesting as the idea is...no worries, aunt PD. ;)

The entire box... and some Listerine... and minty gum... and I'm sure actually brushing his teeth would help as well. :P Like Elizabeth said, "except a matter of honour, decency, and a moral center! And personal hygiene!" ;)
See, people think I'm just weird or something because all my friends are absolutely in love with Jack, but I really don't see him as all that attractive, either. :P He's got an awesome personality and is really funny, but as far as looks...
I don't always go for the bad guys but then, I don't always go for the good guys, either. :P My problem is usually fall for the dark, mysterious looks but I also love sweet, kind, gentlemanly manners. :) So I guess I'm somewhere inbetween. :P

I think it was my favorite too! Although, I liked the part with Mullroy and Murtogg and Cotton's bird.
Anyway, I thought that that scene showed the side of Norrington we only saw in DMC and AWE. That quote when he says, "Is it so wrong that I would want your word unconditionally?" just... :'( I didn't find that Elizabeth came off mean at all. At least, if you assume she's being honest. Though I did wonder why she was lingering on deck in her equivalent of underwear. :teehee:

 Well, if it makes poor Beckett feel better, there's about 9 cities in America called Cutler, as well as 6 called Beckett! :D (I looked it up on Google Maps. :P)

Wow, I can't believe you guys don't know people named Turner! :o There was a guy in my German class last year whose name was... I kid you not!... WILLIAM TURNER! :D *cough*Unfortunately he was not nearly as attractive as our dear Will*cough* ;)
