Ack! Sorry, I've been in school, and have gotten way behind!

DVD cover: Awesome! I was really expecting it to be the same as the movie poster, but the fact that it has all the characters on it including Barbossa is great! Though I think Beckett and Davy deserve a little space. ;) If Sao Fang gets on the cover then they certainly should! He died in the first hour... :annoyed:

Aye aye! And huzzah for good measure! LOTR and POTC actually make you THINK about what's going on, as opposed to a lot of dumb movies that just lay everything out for you with no twists and turns and you can tell from the get-go what's gonna happen. (I think I just described your average chick flick, actually... )

I know! Well, CotBP was some what simple, but still really involved. They're definitely not the kind of movies you just mindlessly watch. And you actually feel like you know the characters! :D
I think PotC and LotR will go down though history, so that when we're old and crippled they'll be playing it on the Turner Classic Movies channel with all the old black and whites. :P

You are totally right! I really like that about LotR and PotC! They make you think and discover new things and try to unravel things about the movies. I love movies with lots of twists and turns where at the end you go "wow! I would've never thought of that! That's pretty sweet!" :-D although I do enjoy the average chick flick as well as my dvd collection shows. :P

Awww, there's no need to hide! We all understand here (as I've already said ;)) Ah, you're still a dignified fan :) I have to admit my Will poster (which I believe is the same as yours) is pretty special too! :P there now I said it!

Well, I'm about like that too… lol I go into the store and if I see anything (and I mean anything!!! lol) with anyone or thing from PotC I get excited and happy! :bounce: so you’re not alone…. Hmmm, I wonder if a email would do anything to help our cause…

Isn't that kind of contradictory? You're living proof you can die of awesomeness… it doesn't match up ;) lol if you were living proof wouldn't you have to be dead in order to prove it? … and if that was the case how could you be living right now if you died? this is all very confusing! ;) :P

Well, I think it was a Google search and it took him to a site:
moviesunlimited.com
And they had it up there… the preorder for it there is actually only $20.99 or something in that neighborhood. :)

Well, yeah, chick flicks are fun every now and then, I definitely agree! That's why POTC and LOTR are so awesome - they have some of that fluffy goodness along with swordfights and stuff. :P And like you said, they make you think too!

Yeah...but...I can't watch any POTC movie without perking up whenever a certain individual is onscreen...I personally can't call that "dignified" but thanks for your input. :) :P *high fives*

*shrugs* You never know...I should go email-address-hunting... :-D

I know it - I LOVE it! :-D :P

Oh, great, thanks so much! I'll go check that out!
Speaking of the DVD cover, if you go to Amazon.com they don't have it in the place for a pic, they have a pic of Will instead. :-D It's apparently a customer image but it's still cool.

PD, That is most certainly true. I really do not like paying the extra money but it really is worth it.
Exactly! Despite the fact that he and Elizabeth did not always get along, they still truly cared about the other (as people, as friends). Then Jack was also friends Will. Plus he is a really sweet person, way, way deep down, so I can not see him just leave Elizabeth and William James stranded and alone to fiend for themselsves.
Ooh me too! I do not think that the writters really had anything to do with it either. Word has it that people higher up cut very importent scenes from AWE so them cutting Orli and Keira out of the movie poster without the writters' permission (and/or perhaps without their knowledge as well) does not seem like that far of a stretch to me. I agree. I really do not think that Johnny had anything to do with it either. Johnny is best friends with Orli and seems to get along with Keira just fine and he seems to truly be a nice person. So I don't think that he would ever do anything like that especialy not to his friends.
Ooh I did not know that the writters had said that. Maybe since they said that, Will (Orli) and Elizabeth (Keira) will be back for another possable Pirates of the Caribbean sequel.
Thanks for understanding.
Just Will and Elizabeth?! :surprise: Oh, that is so cool! :swoon: Now I shall most certainly have to keep an eye open for a kleenex box with Will and Elizabeth on it! :) Thanks you so, so very much for letting us know about it. :-D
Ooh, I love the new cover for the dvd! Thank you so, so, so much for posting it for us! I was browsing on the KttC site awhile back and there was a thread about the dvd cover(s). One had that picture for the two disc edition and another dvd cover with a picture of just Jack on it (perhaps for the one disc edition? )

..........
Oops sorry. This thread has been a bit slow lately. However I do think that it will probabley pick up again when the dvd comes out. :)

definitely worth it!

that's right! And I do truly and deeply believe Jack was a sweet person way down deep. :)

yeah, totally! Johnny would never do that! It was someone higher up (as you said) that's for sure... :annoyed2: and I think you're right. Johnny seems like a really down to earth, nice guy.

well, I found it at Wal-Mart so next time you go, look! and no problem... I'm always happy to help out my fellow Pirates collector! :P
hmmm, that's interesting... I was already planning on buying the 2-disc edition but if that's the case I'm definitely buying it!

I sure hope you're right and it will revive a bit for the dvd... til then I guess we need to hold down the fort for Jack, Will, Barby, Norrie, Liz and the rest. :karate:

I know! I'm impressed with the dvd cover too! I really had dreaded it would have only Jack on it… Oh, and I thought of that too… I would soooo much rather see Davy or Beckett on it than Sao Feng… :annoyed2: you're right! I'm pretty sure they will too (actually I think LotR is already considered a classic). :-D ... and I hope they will. I'll need something good and classic to watch when I'm a crippled, old lady. ;) just so I can reminisce and think back to the "olden" days when it was new, everyone was obsessed with it and it was all over the place. ;)

If the certain individual is who I think it is I totally agree ;)... I always perk up a bit for Norrie, Barby or Will. :-D you're welcome!!!

hmmm, it might be worth a shot....

thanks! :-D

I noticed that on Amazon... I thought it was pretty cool someone would do that for the Will fans... :P I guess I would too... :P Will deserves it after all. ;)

I'm happy I'm not the only one who feels exactly the same way about the characters... you do get to know them so well so they do almost feel like friends... or maybe the word for that feeling is pitiful?  Nah, some people might think that, but I don't. :-D

Hmmm, that's interesting... it does seem rather ironic... :P

Taurquende, I agree. Davy and Beckett really should have been on the dvd as well. Personaly I much would have rather had the two of them on the cover than Sao Feng. As PD said he was only in the series for about half an hour where as Beckett and Davy where in the series for hours a piece. Once again I agree. It really was impossable to just sit there and watch PotC...well without out getting utterly lost in the process and you did get to a place where you felt like you "knew" the character. We are not insane. Of course they are not really. However you begin to feel sympathy and/or empathy for the characters and pain, frustration, and joy right along with the characters. The movies are very involving as you said. :)
Oh, very true. Forty years from now we shall all be old and watching Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean on a classic movie channel and thinking back to now when the world was taken by storm by both series and we talked non stop here on this very board about those series with one another. :) Turner classics...that is priceless! (high fives Taurquende) :-D

PD, Okay walmart (writes that down). Yep all of us Pirates shall just have to badn together until which time that the Pirates of the Caribbean buzz goes back into full gear. :-D

Anie Surion, Oh don't feel bad. There is a particular character that every time he comes on I perk up...do the fangirl squel...drool too...cough...Will...cough. So don't worry about that. It is just another branch of Pirates of the Caribbean fandome and you can be a normal fan (a fan of the series) and a fangirl as well, in my opinion. :)

Lady of Taniquetil, Oh, i am so sorry. I hope that things get in order at your new house and that your dvd player is hooked up really soon.
Oh that is so cool! Was the sticker an animated one or an actual picture or do you know? If you do not mind my asking...

thankies, DD. i hope so too.

lol turner is everywhere! i absolutely love that name! :-P

yeah there always a chracter in movies i automatically love and connect with, like Gandalf. he was my fav since i saw him! lol. but i potc, especially AWE is definately Barbossa. i wish there was more stuff of him!.

YESS!!! i'm not alone! i've always thought of people in those movies as my friends, like we have stuff in common and i can compare...lol i'm glad i'm not crazy!! :-P

umm it had a jack pic but then there's an animated jack behind him in the back round. that thing that's weird is it has an AWE theme but it says DMC. i hate it when stuff is mixed up. it's like that with the shirt i'm wearing :) lol

yeah there always a chracter in movies i automatically love and connect with, like Gandalf. he was my fav since i saw him! lol. but i potc, especially AWE is definately Barbossa. i wish there was more stuff of him!.

YESS!!! i'm not alone! i've always thought of people in those movies as my friends, like we have stuff in common and i can compare...lol i'm glad i'm not crazy!! :-P

Oh, I know! That so annoys me when they get the movies and stuff like that mixed up! Like one folder I have (well, actually several are like that) they say AWE on them but the pictures are from CotBP...

ooo, finally! A Barbossa fan! *high fives* I love Barbossa (right after Norrie and Will ;)) too! I would love to see more Barby things as well!

nope, you're not crazy and you're most certainly not alone! :-D

Lol I’ve had PotC dreams too… although never centered about Elizabeth… it actually seems like I was Jack in one of them  but the only one I can really remember is the one about Barbossa.

Hmmm, maybe I’m lucky… I don’t know of anyone named Turner. :P although we were out driving a while ago and I saw Cutler Road. I thought that was interesting! I road named after Beckett! :P

No, it's not odd to like Norrie! He's a great character! :)

I know! I was pleasently surprised too! :) Although I have to say I didn't start jumping around the room ;) but I was very happy!

true! You guys are all right! Who cares who would call it pitiful!

yup! :-D

Ah good...I was starting to feel kind of weird about it...not that I like Norrie the same way I like Will, but I find him interesting, you know?

Well... I jump around the room whenever I'm excited about something, so there you go. :-D

I feel sorry for anyone who would call it pitiful, because they've clearly never fallen in love with a book or a movie...IMO it's abnormal to go through life without doing that, lol. :-D

You were Jack in a dream?! Sorry but that sorta sounds funny...believe me though, I'd rather BE Jack than kiss Jack... :yuck: Not my cup of tea.
Though right after the dream about kissing Jack I had a dream in which my friends Devon and Travis were dressed up as pirates and ran around my school.  it was sorta odd...

Cutler Road, that's great! :-D

nah, it's nothing you should feel weird about! Norrie is amazing! And I do understand... I don't like him quite the way I like Will but he comes about the closest to the way I like Will. I totally understand. He's a cool character. :)

Well, I understand that! I can get pretty bouncy and hyper sometimes too. :P

True! Yeah, I think you have a point there.... well you can't feel sorry for me because I have fallen in love with books and movies! :teehee:

No, that's ok... it was a little funny... and strange   Hmmm, I think I might rather be Jack than kiss him too...
Now THAT sounds strange... and yet funny at the same time! your poor friends for getting to be in a dream like that!

Well, the road was so not like a road Beckett would have named after him... it was a small, dirt road... so that made it even funnier (IMO). :P

Sweet! That would've been awesome if it had said Commodore Norrington! :bounce: Isn't it strange the way PotC makes it into everything... even things that aren't suppose to relate to it in any style, way or form? At least I tend to be looking around and all of a sudden something that has nothing to do with anything PotC will bring potc to my mind. :P  It truly is quite funny!

Wait, wait... it's not "yay" it's "huzzah" for Barbossa. ;) sorry, I just had to say that. :teehee: sorry... Oh, our Disney Store had that one of Barbossa too! And they had one for Jack! :bounce: I wish I had asked about both of them too... :duh:

Awww, I'm sorry to hear about that. :(
