*runs and hides with Anie*

An animated TV series... eek! Well, it's pretty typical of Disney. "Let's use the same idea to make even more money!" :annoyed2: They've already done a comic book series.

@ Anie... Wow, that is so... grrr!!! :explode: Well, at least it was only 13%.

Yeah,i've read one comic, they're so bad(at least the one i've read :annoyed2: )do Will and Lizabeth (and the other characters)appear in more adventures,or it's a story with only concerning Jack?

I only looked through one when I was 11 or so, before they made the sequels. Yeah, I remember it being pretty bad, and mostly about Jack. Which I guess is good... I don't want my (I mean... our) dear Will tainted by stupid comics. :P

I'm glad most of you agreed with me about what I said concerning Norrie.

My perfect ending would mean Norrie doesn't die but follows Elizabeth and fights for her and when they win, he survives and you get the impression that he is going to go back and try and bring honour to the Navy again, after the corruption of Beckett. I would also have liked Elizabeth and Will to have been together, so instead of Will being stabbed, Bootstrap gets stabbed instead trying to save Will from Davy Jones. Here we have our emotional punch, a character we feel sorry for (and who hasn't killed off a much loved character) and who one of the main characters has been trying to save. Jack still does the decent thing and gives up the heart and his chance for immortality (this makes sense as he knows both Will and Bootstrap). Bootstrap becomes Captain od the Dutchman, and his technially free from his enslavement, as at least he is now able to roam the sea and do a good job, so Will has fulfilled his promise. Will and Elizabeth get onboard the Pearl to hitch a ride home with Barbossa, and Jack sails away in his little ol' boat.

THE END

AYE AYE! Huzzah for JF's ending! :-D (...except then I wouldn't get to hear Will say "keep a weather eye on the horizon" again. :teehee:)

Oh gosh... that would be awful! But I'm sure somewhere someone thought that they should have been more lust there as well. :annoyed2: People annoy me. :frust:

Ooo, I like your ending JF! :D Except I would have Norrington stay and be a spy. He just doesn't mix well with pirates. :P
Although I don't think Will would leave Jack behind. You know him. ;)

Hm...will you be forthcoming with this ending anytime soon, PD? ;)

*cough* I'll admit it, I did. In my defense, if I may, this was when I was still smarting from Elizabeth's betrayal with Jack (the Kiss of Death I mean) and wasn't so keen on Elizabeth kissing anybody but Will. But I've seen the light now! I will concede that Norrie deserved it, especially seeing as he died two minutes later... :'( He really is a hero, just as much as Will.
Aww, you couldn't watch the ROTK ending for that long? It's only ever made me cry twice (the first time I saw it, and I think the fifth or so time but that one was weird...). I suppose "time heals all wounds" really is true - perhaps it will be that way for Norrington's death as well. :)

maybe... ;) although JF's ending is pretty good... it is slightly happier for Norrie than my ending is... but I still like the end I gave him. :) If you guys promise not to laugh I might tell you...

I understand... but at least this kiss was different from the Kiss of Death... it was sweeter and not so... selfish (is that the right word?). Norrie did definitely deserve it... it was the least she could do for him.

Nope, I'll admit that movie's end made me depressed and sad for a long time. which is strange because the first time I saw it I wasn't sad but after I saw it on dvd it made me extremely sad.
yeah, "time heals all wounds" hopefully it'll be that way for Norrie too. :)

Taurquende wrote:
Hmm, I see your point, but I still think it was more due to the writer's laziness. :P

Well, yeah, it probably is... *sighs* but at least the way I put it it doesn't make it seem like Elizabeth's fault for not saying anything... because I think the true Elizabeth would've if she knew someone would've cared enough to listen and understand.
And at least it's better not to say anything than to do what the AWE video game did... :yuck: it was pretty cheesy (I guess would be the word). There was the Brethren Court scene on the video game and it got brought up and someone asked her how she got away or something and she said (without a sob or even a shaking voice) "Norrington helped me and he died for his kindness" I mean it was like it didn't even matter! she just said it and video game life moved on... SHE didn't even act like she cared much!
So that annoyed me... but I guess the video games aren't really all that accurate and they probably wanted to spend more time on the actual game where you play and less on the little snippets of video game in-between.

Taurquende wrote:
Care to endulge this perfect ending? ;) I'm interested! :D And I don't think I've heard your other endings as well. :innocent:

hmmm, well, as I told Anie if you guys promise not to laugh... I might. :)

My other ending isn't near as grand or anything... it's just basically following the movie. Norrie does die, Will stabs the heart BUT in the end since Will is Captain of the Flying Dutchman he can bring people who died in the water (or were put in the water after they died) back, right? So what if he brought Norrie AND Gov. Swann back with him after ten years? I thought it was an interesting idea... my other one is a lot better (I think) but still this one can go along with the movie better. :)
so don't laugh... it might be a far shot but at least it's better than them both just dieing and... dieing forever.

I can't believe this!!!!!! Our society is going down the drain, this article proves it!!!!! "Not enough lust"...what the heck kind of excuse is that??? :explode:

*breathes in*

I'm sorry, but I'm just so disgusted by this. Hollywood has so desensitized people to lust that they mistake it for love, and claim more is needed in Will and Elizabeth's relationship! :duh: :annoyed: (If you ask me, there was more than enough lust in that island scene... :teehee:)

but, I am going to bed now. Formulate your own rants. :-D *slips out of thread*

PS: I found that article on IMDb. If you guys want to see my reply to the thread (which I had some fun writing, I'll admit), here's the link: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0461136/board/flat/82958360?p=2

aww, darn! I'm not a member of IMDb so I can't even read your post... :annoyed2: but I'm sure it's good!

What?! :disgust: what in the world is wrong with Disney sometimes? They should learn to leave some things undisturbed and jsut let them take their own course instead of making more and more for it! And with different voices for the characters?
I don't think I would really want to see this either... :annoyed2: Taur is right Disney constantly is trying to cash in by using the same ideas (like they need it! Didn’t DMC along make like a billion dollars or something? )

Although I will admit I have read some of the PotC comics in the Disney Adventures magazines :P and actually some of them aren’t all bad… like they had extremely funny Pintel and Ragetti comics and they had a wonderful one with Jack and Will in it. but I’ve also seen other ones that were pretty stupid…

I'm so with you there! I like Jack (although he's only like 5th or so fave :P) but I totally agree! Watching Jack (and Barbossa as Pirates 4 may be) with a bunch of other new characters would be dull after a time... *sigh*

Although I still liked your ending, JF! Because while you're having Jack's adventures you could also have Barbossa, Will and Lizzie's adventures going on. :-D so you wouldn't get too much of Jack and at the same time the people who like Jack wouldn't get too much of Will or Elizabeth (or even Barbossa).

well, that's the ending I thought up that I already told you about, isn't it? I was just telling Taur about that end since she wanted to know. :) my other end is still forthcoming… but that's ok. :teehee:

No, there's nothing bad about it at all… it's just a sweet, little kiss for a hero.

Yeah, it is. :) (having a box of tissues? good idea ;)) although Will's death didn't make me as teary as when he had to leave Liz and go away for ten years :'()

Thanks! I'm happy you like my older idea… (yeah, Will III does need to know his grandpa. :) and his middlename namesake too ;)) let's see if you like my other one when I decide to divulge it. :P as I think I said before it's a better end for Will and Elizabeth but somewhat sadder for Norrie.

Great idea! Against the Pearl and the Dutchman… well, I don't think they'd stand a chance :pirate:… Becky sure didn't! (btw, my poor, poor Becky *kisses Cutler*… :P)

Ah, that's fine! Hey, sure! *checks pm box * I got your pm… thanks! :-D

I know it's just a video game but it still makes me mad. What they should of done in AWE is a private scene between Will and Elizabeth, or Jack and Elizabeth, or even Gibbs and Elizabeth, since Gibbs worked for Norrie. Anyway, they should have had a quiet scene where they could mourn over Norrie and show a little emotion, especially from Elizabeth.

yes, for the actual movie that would've been superb if they could've had a quiet scene like that. just something, anything to show that Elizabeth was hurting from it and she would always remember Norrie (even though we know she always would it still would’ve been nice if they had showed us)

Exactly! it was all just pure, honest love (from Norrie at least) unlike *coughJackandElizabeth'scoughcoughkiss* ;)

Well, I don't think Johnny will let them fudge off on Pirates 4. ;)

Yeah, that's understandable, as they spent most of their budget of the graphics and not as much on the actors for the movie snippets. Which just gives us a taste of what an animated TV series would look like. :annoyed2:

It would have definitely had made the movie more emotional! If you're going to kill off a beloved character you should do it respectfully.

Take your time. Can't wait! :D

Check this out, it's annoyingly hilarious.
