Alright, everyone I have a theory...Everyone keeps saying they think that ron and hermione's son should have been named fred or some variation of it...I know JKR didn't go into details about anyone else so here is my theory of kinda what is going on...George most likely got married and then had children and in memory of his twin and best friend would probably name his son Fred or some variation of it....does that make any sense, then that would explain why ron and hermione didn't name their son fred they left that for george, seeing as it was his twin brother...And I don't know why but Hugo(as hideous as a name tht it is) i think was in the books somewhere..I'm re-reading the series so if i finda any clues i will let you guys know...

^That actually does make sense...poor George, I feel so bad for him :(...why do I think of Mrs. Weasley when I think Rose?

I still don't mind the epilogue, but it's just so hard to imagine them all as grown-ups. I absolutley cannot see Ron as thirty-six-ish.

^No, I doubt that Ron would ever really "grow up". We could kind of see that in the epilogue. :P I can't picture him looking older either though...

And whoever said we should start a Lily/Severus shipper club, I'm with you all the way!! :) ;)

Neville was amazing! He pulled the sword out of the hat so we know why he was in Gryffindor!

Emir and Elenmir: That was just my opinion. Personally I never really liked Dumbledore. What I thought he was evil was because he hid Harry's furture from him. He has so many secrets that he could have told Harry yet he didn't. Maybe evil wasn't the right word, but he wasn't the dumbledore we thought he was.

Actually, I've been suspecting dear Albus the Older had been hiding things since book one. I knew that we would hear something about it this book around, mainly because after a character dies is when we learn everything, is it not?

It quite does, my friend.

i'm working on chapter three! yay!

Now, let's talk Kreacher. He is the classic example of what could happen if you treat your house elf with respect. I do so highly suggest doing this with your own disrupted elves. It worked charms with my elf, Ferren. =]]

Kreacher was amazing in this book. I understand why JKR made them put him in the movie. :P

Caunion the Time Lord wrote:
But why, oh why, did she have to kill Fred?! I feel sorry for George now. It's like Frodo without Sam, totally unthinkable.

I was really angry that she didn't write anything about George's reaction. It's hard enough to lose a brother, but to lose an identical twin who's also your best friend must be unbelievably devastating. Probably so much so that she couldn't write his reaction. When he died I immediately thought of George and felt... gutted. It's terrible.

Kreacher was amazing. I loved the part where he's leading all of the other house elves in battle. :P And the way he burst into tears for half an hour when Harry gave him the locket...

And I agree about George! They hardly even mention him after Fred died. It would have been so touching to see his reaction too...I feel so horrible for him though. Half of him is gone. :'(

^why'd you have to word it that way? As if there weren't enough plot bunnies in my head...

Still sick with the epilogue, (which my aunt loved! :yuck:), 'nuff said.

Kreacher was really good. I liked how he finally paid Hermione the respect she deserved. It was very good that he was a good house elf to Harry! I thought it was the best when he led the others into battle!

I was so sad that Fred died. I was mad that she didn't put George's reaction, it was more of Percy's reaction :[ George must be torn with out his twin!!

The epilogue was pretty bad, not gonna lie...

I agree with everyone, they should've shown George's reaction. I knew what it would be like, because I had been friends with twins before one of them died, and the other was literally heartbroken... Poor George :(

*Sneaks into thread* Prepare for large review :)

I'm a cheapskate and I got my friend to lend it to me after he stayed up all night reading it :) Finished it in just under six hours. It's definitely my favorite of the seven.

I KNEW it, about Snape! I KNEW it! They had a plan all along! I always thought there was more to Snape than met the eye! *Infinite satisfaction* Though I guess he did die...which sucked...but oh well, I felt vindicated. He's a much nicer guy than anyone gives him credit for, and the Pensieve stuff Harry saw about him loving Lily was so sweet.

I don't really know what I think of Dumbledore yet. I guess I was a little disappointed in him. I mean, it always seemed like he knew exactly what to do and the one person you could count on was Dumbledore, but I guess not. I was glad he explained to Harry, though, about his whole family situation. Even though it was still sorta his fault, I'm glad the Skeeterized version wasn't true. But did anyone else find the whole Ariana story a little fishy? What can a bunch of six-year-olds do, really, that would make her react so violently? Harry's been pushed around plenty by Dudley's friends and it never affected him.

Tonks and Lupin - both dead. Couldn't one of them have lived? I sorta saw it coming, with the baby and all, that at least one was going to die, but both? Vewwy sad. And FRED! I wanted to bawl my eyes out when Fred died! Why couldn't Percy or Charlie have died?? If she HAD to kill a Weasley, why couldn't it be one of them - Percy even made up with the family and EVERYTHING! I wasn't too torn up over Mad-eye but I did shed a few tears over Hedwig. All in all, though, it was way less of a bloodbath than I expected, JKR really let most of her characters live.

I must admit, I thought the epilogue was funny. In a good way. It was nicely lighthearted and I thought it was a fitting way to end the book. I did wonder why Ron and Hermione's kids were Rose and Hugo, though - I would have called them Dora and Remus after Tonks and Lupin.

Hogwarts battle = LOVE. That was undoubtedly my very favorite part of the book. It was so cool, all the stuff they came up with, McGonagall especially. Stampeding desks :)

Anyway, yeah, I really enjoyed it. JKR tied up her loose ends marvelously, and I think we got really good character resolution.
