'Dawn Over a New World' - DragonForce
In the darkness of the night in the shadows of the dawn
It's turning black no looking back the sands of time are sown
When the day will slowly end and the sun has turned to grey
Will we feel the power of freedom with the dawn of a new day?
Over mountains paved with gold to the valleys of the slain
Our quest will lead us onwards to the journey of the brave
When the time has come to stand for the power we believe
We will ring the sound of victory for one and all to see
Sometimes in your darkest dreams you will feel the haunting prayer
Silent tears of your hidden fears come to haunt you once again
Fight on for the memories of the everlasting dreams
Their pain in the silent lands on wings of glory free
We can go on forever with the darkness so far away
And the warriors who live forever fight on to the end
Across the highest mountains and through the endless seas
Our journey ever onwards fight until we all be free
Through the darkness shining the neverending light
On through the days of glory rise towards the fight
And one day we will find a way towards this distant golden age
The cries of war will sound the day
We stand before the dawn of a new world
On through the raging thunder across the seven seas
Cold winter skies are falling on the battles we have seen
We can go on forever with the darkness so far away
And the warriors who live forever fight on to the end
Across the highest mountains and through the endless seas
Our journey ever onwards fight until we all...
Across the highest mountains and through the endless seas
Our journey ever onwards fight until we all be free
Through the darkness shining the neverending light
On through the days of glory rise towards the fight
And one day we will find a way towards this distant golden age
The cries of war will sound the day
We stand before the dawn of a new world
We stand before the dawn of a new world...

Tarot - Before The Skies Come Down
The ropes want to fell your neck.
To embrace is good for dirt and wood.
Growing shadows with every light you stepped into.
They're coming for you, smothering the sun, life is done.
Before the skies come down.
You try to live and see.
Before the skies come down.
You try some more than me.
The stars have led me astray.
Beneath my feet the Earth just moved away.
Who changed the world, unhinged the time?
Orbits in decay, crushed by the black sun,
life was done.
Before the skies come down.
You try to live and see.
Before the skies come down.
You try some more than me.

'Theatre of Pain' - Blind Guardian
The giant's lost
And all round him
Destructed for what
They all knew what it meant
But they couldn't change it
Lord they had gone too far
Leave them alone
It's all gone
What is left behind
On a desert we called earth
When the last whale went away
Did they ever see the tears
Don't fear Your last step
From the theatre of pain
And the children will love Your singing
From the sea
The sea is calling
Now we've to leave it
The sea was clear
On the day I was stranded
Answers I'd known
To keep this all alive
But I can't change it
Forever
(Solo)
Now I'm gone
And it seems that life had never existed
So we left the dark and cold
All I left behind are my tears
Don't fear Your last step
From the theatre of pain
And the children will love Your singing
From the sea
The sea is calling
I hear them calling

Three Days Grace - Pain
Pain, without love
Pain, I can't get enough
Pain, I like it rough
'Cause I'd rather feel pain than nothing at all
You're sick of feeling numb
You're not the only one
I'll take you by the hand
And I'll show you a world that you can understand
This life is filled with hurt
When happiness doesn't work
Trust me and take my hand
When the lights go out you will understand
Pain, without love
Pain, I can't get enough
Pain, I like it rough
'Cause I'd rather feel pain than nothing at all
Pain, without love
Pain, I can't get enough
Pain, I like it rough
'Cause I'd rather feel pain than nothing at all
Anger and agony
Are better than misery
Trust me I've got a plan
When the lights go off you will understand
Pain, without love
Pain, I can't get enough
Pain, I like it rough
'Cause I'd rather feel pain than nothing at all
Pain, without love
Pain, I can't get enough
Pain, I like it rough
'Cause I'd rather feel pain than nothing
Rather feel pain
I know (I know I know I know I know)
That you're wounded
You know (You know you know you know you know)
That I'm here to save you
You know (You know you know you know you know)
I'm always here for you
I know (I know I know I know I know)
That you'll thank me later
Pain, without love
Pain, can't get enough
Pain, I like it rough
'Cause I'd rather feel pain than nothing at all
Pain, without love
Pain, I can't get enough
Pain, I like it rough
'Cause I'd rather feel pain than nothing at all
Pain, without love
Pain, I can't get enough
Pain, I like it rough
'Cause I'd rather feel pain than nothing at all
Rather feel pain than nothing at all
Rather feel pain

"Crazy Angel" Kill Hannah
It's serious, I've got to find you
When I start to feel this way
You mesmerize me, all the time
And I'll hold on 'til tonight
But that's too long
'Cause you're an angel
Oh oh, you're an angel
My crazy angel
My crazy angel
So serious, I've got to take you home again tonight
'Cause right now you paralyze me
With your smile
As your wings discard their feathers on the ground
I see a halo, oh oh, up above you
My crazy angel
My crazy angel
I hold on so hard
And pray that I won't say something wrong
I look at the stars
And dream that the universe was ours
My crazy angel
I hold on so hard
And pray that I won't say something wrong
I look at the stars
And dream that the universe was ours, oh
It won't ever stop
My crazy angel
My crazy angel
My crazy angel
My crazy angel
My crazy angel
I love this song

Kilkelly, Ireland- written by Peter Jones
Kilkelly, Ireland, 18 and 60, my dear and loving son John
Your good friend the schoolmaster
Pat McNamara's so good as to write these words down.
Your brothers have all gone to find work in England,
the house is so empty and sad
The crop of potatoes is sorely infected,
a third to a half of them bad.
And your sister Brigid and Patrick O'Donnell
are going to be married in June.
Your mother says not to work on the railroad
and be sure to come on home soon.
Kilkelly, Ireland, 18 and 70, dear and loving son John
Hello to your Mrs and to your 4 children,
may they grow healthy and strong.
Michael has got in a wee bit of trouble,
I guess that he never will learn.
Because of the dampness there's no turf to speak of
and now we have nothing to burn.
And Brigid is happy, you named a child for her
and now she's got six of her own.
You say you found work, but you don't say
what kind or when you will be coming home.
Kilkelly, Ireland, 18 and 80, dear Michael and John, my sons
I'm sorry to give you the very sad news
that your dear old mother has gone.
We buried her down at the church in Kilkelly,
your brothers and Brigid were there.
You don't have to worry, she died very quickly,
remember her in your prayers.
And it's so good to hear that Michael's returning,
with money he's sure to buy land
For the crop has been poor and the people
are selling at any price that they can.
Kilkelly, Ireland, 18 and 90, my dear and loving son John
I guess that I must be close on to eighty,
it's thirty years since you're gone.
Because of all of the money you send me,
I'm still living out on my own.
Michael has built himself a fine house
and Brigid's daughters have grown.
Thank you for sending your family picture,
they're lovely young women and men.
You say that you might even come for a visit,
what joy to see you again.
Kilkelly, Ireland, 18 and 92, my dear brother John
I'm sorry that I didn't write sooner to tell you that father passed on.
He was living with Brigid, she says he was cheerful
and healthy right down to the end.
Ah, you should have seen him play with
the grandchildren of Pat McNamara, your friend.
And we buried him alongside of mother,
down at the Kilkelly churchyard.
He was a strong and a feisty old man,
considering his life was so hard.
And it's funny the way he kept talking about you,
he called for you in the end.
Oh, why don't you think about coming to visit,
we'd all love to see you again.
So sad...

Utilities - The Weakerthans
Got this feeling
That today doesn't like me
Oh, the air tastes like
Flowers and paint
There's a sink full
Of bottles and cutlery
And the car
Has got a list of complaints
I just wish I
Were a toothbrush
Or a solder gun
Make me something
Somebody can use
We can wish on
The pop of a lightbulb
Or the those photos
Lying yellow and curled
Loose in boxes
Near abandoned electronics
In the corners of the basements
Of the world
Guess our wishes
Don't do dishes
Or brake repairs
Make them something
Somebody could use
Got a face full
Of ominous weather
Smirking smile
Of a high pressure ridge
Got more faults than
The state of California
And the heart is a badly built bridge
Seems the most I
Have to offer
Doesn't offer much
Make it something
Somebody could use
Make this
Something somebody
Could use

Three Wooden Crosses - Randy Travis
A farmer and a teacher, a hooker and a preacher
Ridin' on a midnight bus bound for Mexico.
One's headed for vacation, one for higher education,
An' two of them were searchin' for lost souls.
That driver never ever saw the stop sign.
An' eighteen wheelers can't stop on a dime.
There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway,
Why there's not four of them, Heaven only knows.
I guess it's not what you take when you leave this world behind you,
It's what you leave behind you when you go.
That farmer left a harvest, a home and eighty acres,
The faith an' love for growin' things in his young son's heart.
An' that teacher left her wisdom in the minds of lots of children:
Did her best to give 'em all a better start.
An' that preacher whispered: "Can't you see the Promised Land?"
As he laid his blood-stained bible in that hooker's hand.
There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway,
Why there's not four of them, Heaven only knows.
I guess it's not what you take when you leave this world behind you,
It's what you leave behind you when you go.
That's the story that our preacher told last Sunday.
As he held that blood-stained bible up,
For all of us to see.
He said: "Bless the farmer, and the teacher, an' the preacher;
"Who gave this Bible to my mamma,
"Who read it to me."
There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway,
Why there's not four of them, now I guess we know.
It's not what you take when you leave this world behind you,
It's what you leave behind you when you go.
There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway.

she's in love with the boy-trisha yearwood
Katie's sitting on the old front porch
Watching the chickens peck the ground
There ain't a whole lot going on tonight
In this one horse town.
Over yonder, coming up the road
In a beat-up Chevy truck
Her boyfriend Tommy, he's laying on the horn
Splashing through the mud and the muck
Her daddy says, "he ain't worth a lick
When it came to brains, he got the short end of the stick"
But Katie's young and man she just don't care
She'd follow Tommy anywhere
She's in love with the boy
She's in love with the boy
She's in love with the boy
And even if they have to run away
She's gonna marry that boy someday
Katie and Tommy at the drive-in movie
Parked in the very last row
They're too busy holding on to one another
To even care about the show
But later on outside the Tastee Freeze,
Tommy slips something on her hand
He says, "my high school ring will have to do
Till I can buy a wedding band"
Her daddy says, "he ain't worth a lick
When it came to brains, he got the short end of the stick"
But Katie's young and man she just don't care
She'd follow Tommy anywhere
She's in love with the boy
She's in love with the boy
She's in love with the boy
And even if they have to run away
She's gonna marry that boy someday
Her daddy's waiting up till half past twelve
When they come sneaking up the walk
He says, "young lady get on up to your room
While me and junior have a talk"
But Mama breaks in and says, "don't lose your temper
It wasn't very long ago
When you yourself was just a hay-seed plowboy
Who didn't have a row to hoe"
"My daddy said you wasn't worth a lick
When it came to brains, you had the short end of the stick
But he was wrong and honey you are too
Katie looks at Tommy like I still look at you"
She's in love with the boy
She's in love with the boy
She's in love with the boy
What's meant to be will always find a way
She's in love with the boy
She's in love with the boy
She's in love with the boy
What's meant to be will always find a way
She's gonna marry that boy someday.
She's in love with the boy....

... Of Ruins And A Red Nightfall - Tristania
Life gains intensified pain to ascend within me once again Woe strikes through radiant light a quitus has conquered thy eyes the sequel of life Arising grievance rage through the eyes of our existence a thousand times The strife drawn hither as a daydream ascendancy In life we wither like laurel leaves in winterwinds Lurk far between a pale destiny drawn from the past Enclasp my wrath in the prophecy of thine Perchance to dream... Day of ire prithee behold the haven of life Perchance to dream... Day of ire prithee may daylight draw thy veils aside Summon the winterwind in which I walk Enter the morning glades of a fallen deathwish Summon the starlight gloss in which thou rage Enter the mourning shades Call out in vain for thee again Perchance to dream you're my dancing queen behold the haven of life Perchance to dream... Day of ire prithee may daylight draw thy veils aside A strike of angina Enthralled by the night and the shades at thy side A star of riddance rage through the sky Grant me thy visions... bequeath me life Through times of yearning... on a path of indignity No longer burning... at last this life's circuit I leave

Ask the Right Questions - Marius & Tobias
You're in a strange place
Where you're not getting any further
Always the same, nothing changes in you
No one, no one can see the sadness
You're wearing people out, you dissapoint them
I heard you didn't fit into their plans
Shutting you out is how they may cope
But letting you in is what I've done
You're well enough to ask all the questions
You're too sick to understand my answers
You should be a little better
Or a little worse
You're struggling to be something you can't be
You're well enough to ask the right questions
You're too sick to understand my answers
You should be a little better
Or a little worse
You're struggling to be something you can't be
One minute, it's stuck
You're so far down
One minute you're like the smiling sun
Having you around meant so much to me
Now I hope and believe I'll make a difference
Ask the right questions
Give the right answers
Or a little worse
You're struggling...
You're well enough to ask the right questions
You're too sick to understand my answers
You should be a little better
Or a little worse
You're struggling to be something you can't be
We'll have a day together soon
You can tell me
How old I'll be on my next birthday
You'll be talking to yourself in your own world
That was once such a safe place for me
You're well enough to ask the right questions
You're too sick to understand my answers
You should be a little better
Or a little worse
You're struggling to be something you can't be
Ask the right questions
Understand my answers
You're a little worse...

Nightwish - Amaranth
Baptised with a perfect name
The doubting one by heart
Alone without himself
War between him and the day
Need someone to blame
In the end, little he can do alone
You believe but what you see
You receive but what you give
Caress the one, the Never-Fading
Rain in your heart - the tears of snow-white sorrow
Caress the one, the hiding amaranth
In a land of the daybreak
Apart from the wandering pack
In this brief flight of time we reach
For the ones, whoever dare
You believe but what you see
You receive but what you give
Caress the one, the Never-Fading
Rain in your heart - the tears of snow-white sorrow
Caress the one, the hiding amaranth
In a land of the daybreak
Reaching, searching for something untouched
Hearing voices of the Never-Fading calling
Caress the one, the Never-Fading
Rain in your heart - the tears of snow-white sorrow
Caress the one, the hiding amaranth
In a land of the daybreak

^ Darn good song
Rope Ends - Pain of Salvation
She is still young...
Another day of emptiness This life is wearing her down The room around her is a mess Her children safe with her mom
She is still young but feeling old Two children with different fathers She sits on the bathroom floor alone The shower chain broke Her neck hurts
Then another night of emptiness to wear her down Naked to the world she wraps her sadness in a gown Her children fast asleep she sears the dark with glassy eyes Choosing carefully among her husband's business ties
"Over!" she cries through rope ends and silk ties Beautiful life escaping her young blue eyes But life holds her hand, refusing to let go Leaving her breathing on the floor
They're still asleep don't hear her cry And she's still obsessed with rope ends This time she picks a stronger tie With Winnie the Pooh and friends
She is still young but feeling old A child dying to be a mother Now she hangs from the ceiling all alone All pressure is falling from her
Seeing guilt has taught her guilt she's raised on disbelief Merely twenty beautiful but with a taste for grief She has learnt all that there is to know about hopelessness Seeing that no effort in this world can stand her test
"Over!" she cries through rope ends and silk ties Beautiful life escaping her young blue eyes And Winnie is strong, would never let her fall Prevents her from breathing till she's not there at all But life holds her hands, refusing to let go Leaving her breathing on the floor
[Johan Hallgren]
[Daniel Gildenlow]
Seeing guilt has taught her guilt she's raised on disbelief Merely twenty beautiful but with a taste for grief She has learnt all that there is to know about helplessness Seeing that no caring in this world can ease her stress
Helpless she lies in rope ends and undies Unseeing eyes fixating Eeyore's smile "Over!" she cries as she's going unblind Still in this life Still in this troubled mind The ceiling let go, the old house let her fall Dropping her breathing to the hard cold floor Hitting her head - a broken china soul Red stains on porcelain and she's not there at all
Breathing she cries for rope ends and silk ties Beautiful eyes Piglet stands shy behind Broken she lies undead and unblind Beautiful life Beautiful crying young eyes Blackened and bruised, learning how to see Staring at her tooth - crimsoned ivory Hours they pass this broken china soul Red stains on porcelain And she's not there at all...
"...and years later I would find You hanging alas the subte irony in shortering life with an extension lead before I could get You down I died so many times... thoughts about running to the kitchen for a knife to cut You down but I learned that there is no way of leaving the room when someone is hanging from the ceiling Your body just won't allow You that rest You stay to watch her face slowly turn blue finally to let You weight add to hers doubling the burden awaking her to the burden that brough her there in the first place: LIFE"
"The Sisters of Solitude...
They love and hurt, break and are broken, the sisters of solitude They cannot shake the dust from the ground Cannot rise from the ashes, the sisters of solitude They reach out to embrace the world, good and evil, weak and strong They will settle for nothing less, the sisters of solitude They love that they be loved, give that they be given Hurt that they get hurt, the sisters of solitude Hence, one loses weight by the second Throws up what she can instead of what she cannot Hence, two have tried to hang themselves, too strong to shut life out Yet too weak to live it Hence, the little one dissapears, melts into the walls, stands back Agrees, unsatisfied They all carry the end of the world in their chests Heirs of sadness and irony, of settling for less, of bitter consent Of mothers and mothers of solitude They all carry to break free, the sisters of solitude I fear them all so... I love them all so..."
