Ah well, win some, lose some.
I'm willing to take my lumps as long as it's fair.
I need to tell the people who haven't experienced Metal yet exactly what the feeling is like!! Unless of course they can't experience the sort of sensation I described due to lack of the specific type of biological matter I described, then I will just say...
It's like someone slamming a warhammer wrapped in bubble-wrap to your chest, then proceeding to gently fondle your hair. By the way... this said person is amazingly attractive. Kinky, eh?

I love Rhapsody. They are quality.
Highly recommended from yours truly is Lost Horizon. First Power Metal band I got into when there first album came out and I slowly became more and more addicted to bands like them.
Another is Edguy. These guys are so entertaining. Any band that can write a song called Lavatory Love Machine gets a big thumbs up from me.
They rule.

Lost Horizon and Edguy have amazing vocalists. Lost Horizon most especially, that guy can hit notes higher than the human threshold (sp?) is meant to be able to bear. Edguy vocals hit those vocal harmonies nicely, and they have nice choruses. What about Falconer? I just got the CD "Chapters From A Vale Forlorn", and man does it rule...
Melkorpwns knows what I'm talkin' about.

I've still to download some Falconer, but you both have great taste. So I'm sure they're awesome.
Here's hopin Lost Horizon can find a great new vocalist. Cause he is gonna be hard to replace.

Metal_Vengeance wrote: Power Metal, an amazing genre. One of my favorites, could even be my favorite. Dimmu Borgir was my first Metal band (Symphonic Black Metal <3), and I slowly got into harder bands like Lamb of God and Cradle of Filth. Later, though... I discovered Power Metal. Boy, did it grab a hold of my nuts. I love Power Metal, and any other type of Metal that's pure skill and melody. Folk Metal (I love Elvenking), Progressive Metal, Symphonic Black Metal, Gothic Metal (another of my faves), any Metal that has to do with Vikings (love Amon Amarth, Immortal, Ensiferum; would like more Viking Metal bands ), I like ALL Metal. Power Metal is one of my favorites. I already said that but... I wanted to again, since this is the Power Metal thread... long live the Metal brotherhood.
cradle of filth and amon amarth rule!

Sweden, Norway and Finland = Metal
Glad you enjoyed the vids. I'll try and post some more laters either here or in the Club. My fave of those is the Edguy video. Tobias is just so so funny and that song is just so silly.
Kinda Off topic..my little girl now says "Metaaalll" when I throw the horns at her.
I'm so proud.

Metal_Vengeance, if it's Viking/Pagan metal you want, try Moonsorrow, if you haven't already. Tulkaapa Aijat is my favourite I think, though I really like Haaska. Dimmu Borgir is amazing, my friend got me into them (he's a 'death metal head'). Anyway, I've been looking for the Blind Guardian dvd-Imaginations Through the Looking Glass everywhere, and besides the place I first saw it (HMV in the Eaton's Centre), it's either sold out or just not there! Arrgh! Oh well, I'm trying HMV again...
