Holly dragged Artemis back out into the hall, through and up to the attic. "Sit," she ordered, then pulled several things out of her messenger bag. A couple bags of wax soda bottle candy and assorted licorice bits landed in a large punch bowl in Artemis's lap. "Until the kids are gone, you will address me as 'Alice' and I will call you 'Reginald Theophilous III' understood?"
She looke up to be met with Arty's vampire smile, "Sure thing, teacup." Holly nearly dropped the largeish footstool she had procured out of nowhere. "That doesn't mean you're supposed to fall that much in character!"

Although the murders were becoming more gruesome and intriguing, Maeve found that she was growing quite tired of them. While the entire party had convened in the kitchen to discuss Kitty's recent murder, she chose to remain upstairs and out of sight to continue her writing. She did finally put away her quill and ink as it began to get dark and she heard the sounds of children coming from far off. Donning a renaissance-like gown she made her way downstairs to help pass out sweets.

Kit situated herself at the front door of the mansion, of course, being that it is after all, her estate albeit by renting. "It is rather chilly here," she said even whilst under all the layers of her Burger King costume. She lifted up the mask briefly to peek up and down the well lit street.
"It will be time soon," Kit said, to no one in particular, and time for what she did not specify.

Kit flipped on the porch lights to signal the start of the Trick or Treating, and a lightpost for children to know that they were welcome in her house (just not in her kitchen).
"COOOMMME, CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT!" Kit announced outrightly. She stepped on the porch and held out her arms in welcome, but the children passing by misunderstood and at the sight of the frightening Burger King, fled the scene.

The Horseman had made sure he was unobserved all evening since the discovery of Kitty's body. He was keeping a low profile for just this ocassion. He stole into the library to find a good book, collected a plateful of food and a selection of drinks and started to carefully make his way upstairs. He had even removed his sombrero and sword.

[It doesn't matter, we can skip roleplaying <b>night</b>, because quite frankly, nothing much happened today and I need to establish a Trick or Treating event, even if it's just to annoy Horseman. And yes, the kids can be considered already in the house.]
Kit finally lost her mask because she really wasn't in the mood to explain to every group of children that she wasn't a creepy Burger King. (She had pride in her costume, she'll tell you!) And they kids began to crowd through her station and she directed them to the various stations in the house for more candy, discluding <b>ANY ROOM IN THE MANSION THAT HAS READING MATERIAL</b>.

The Horseman heard the sound of tiny feet and leapt updstairs as if parts of him that were vital to him, were on fire. "Made it" he said, as he found his room and entered it, locking it in the process before swallowing the key.

Nurr hovered (invisibly) around the children. Ah, but they took her back to her summer! They were all so adorable, with their big eyes and happy childish smiles. She laughed, then clapped an invisible hand over her invisible mouth. She forgot that sound wasn't quite invisible.

Watching the little ones file in and out of the library, collecting candy from Deria, Kitty realized just how much she missed her little Eddie. Resolving to cheer herself up (this was halloween, for goodness' sake, and she was a ghost!) Kitty began to float through the bookshelves as soon as the children walked into the library. Most of them jumped and then laughed, considering Kitty wasn't exactly intimidating, even when dead (especially considering she was making silly faces and zooming around the room). After an hour or so, Kitty had cheered up completely. Her favorite reaction was a tiny little girl dressed as a wizard who saw Kitty and immediately screamed, "Myrtle? This isn't a bathroom!"
