Bastian's face took on almost a proud look as Aaron complimented him before Maria grabbed his attention again. His dark brows arched a little, as though put-off a bit by her comment towards Alex. "What good would it do you if we weren't?" he mumbled in reply.

(( And by the way, Bastian is not a "boy", he's a MAN! Prolly around twenty, and Alex is slightly younger, maybe 19. ))

Bastian looked a little uncomfortable, as though pondering how much to confide in Alex's enemy. "Well, she.... She hasn't really been the same since the accident, but you know that. The authorities have had to pick her up a few times, what with the theiving and the drinking..."

"That's enough!" The Prince said, his voice full authority which could make the eath tremble. "How dare you?" The thought that he would send the girl away with some food; after all there had been done alot of charity during the week of celebraion in honour of his wedding, was now replaced with anger. How dared this insolent girl insult his servant. This wise man who'd taught him his lessons, whom he trusted almost more than his own father..
"GUARDS!" the Prince shouted while Elias grabbed Alexandria's arm firmly so she couldn't escape. A lesson had to be taught here.. were the Prince's thoughts.. even if it was on his wedding day.

Bre'yan shook his head, balancing his tray with ease of prectice.
"The head servant master said I could do it. Just go slow and watch where I go. Though, I don't even think she knows I'm blind, even when I've told her a dozen times," he said, then his sightless eyes went wide as she told of what happened. "Really? You think there's a theif in the castle? That'd be an excitement that rarely happens."

Aaron ran along, and evidently heard a familiar voice yell "Guards!" How ironic. He just happened to be second-in-command to the captain of the guards. Or as some called him 'Commander Aaron'. He came running up to find the prince holding the girl's wrist. Quickly he bowed in respect, but straightened.
"My Lord, I am sorry for this interfirance, I will take this girl into custudy," he said...
