She smiled, her eyes alight with a joy that was rare to find within her. "I'm glad to hear you'll live," she joked, chuckling slightly. Her eyes locked with his and her heart skipped a beat. "I hope the pain is not too much for you."
Her smiled turned uncomfortable and faded as she saw the piercing stare Haven was giving them from across the room. "I... I should go.... And let you rest," she murmured suddenly, the words awkward on her lips.

Tomos thought for a second. "Yes, I think its possible." He replied. What was she hinting at? Tomos thought she might be talking about him, but he didn't want to say anything. He searched for the right words to use, the best way to explain what he was thinking. "Maybe its like trying to move a big piece of furniture, like a dresser." He cursed inwardly that he was not a words-smith. A metaphor about moving furiture? Still, it was the only thing he had that made a bit of sence. He continued "You're pulling the dresser across the room and you think you're doing it all by yourself, and no one is helping. But, in reality, the dresser is just so big you can't see that there's actually another person who's pushing it. Only after you're finished moving it do you see that you had help all along."

[ Wow complicated metaphor Naur.. you got me puzzled here ]
On Keith's lips he formed a smile. Pain? he thought My heart is filled with joy, in my stomach swirm butterflies. How could he feel pain? "Milady, I hardly feel any pain.." he said with optimism and not to make her concerned. But when he lifted his weight on both legs while standing, his leg twitched and a twinge pain shot up. Keith groaned and sat down, stretching his painful leg. "Okay.. that was a little too optimistic" he said with grin.
"Thank you for your company Lady Waverly." he said and then he gazed at Maverick who was coming their way.

(( My head spinz! Wh000.... ))
"There can never be too much optimism," Waverly replied with a smile. What hope would I have without it? She glanced over her shoulder at her approaching cousin, then back at Keith, distress at their parting showing in her face. Waverly took his strong hand in her own delicate one and smiled warmly, a smile that would melt any man's soul, gifted rarely to anyone. Yet, she had chosen to give it to him.
"Until tomorrow, then?" she said softly.
Haven Maverick never gave Keith a chance to answer as he grabbed Waverly's arm with a gentle yet cold posessiveness. "I think you aught to retire for the evening, Keith, " Maverick stated, his tone flat and edging on dangerous. "It's been a taxing day, and Waverly and I have... much to discuss...." He didn't look at her as he said this, but she could feel his grip tighten on her.
(( Heheh, Commodus much? ))

[ He's scary Sojou ]
Keith wavered as he got on his feet. He was almost as tall as Maverick and when their eyes met he didn't let go of his stare. He watched warily how Haven got hold of his cousin and felt even more suspicion when Maverick ordered him to take his leave. This was new to Keith. Maverick was their leader in Rebellion, he gave orders in what tactics to use, made the decisions about which plan would be executed but never had he ordered people about their lifes. Keith felt insulted: hadn't he given his life and blood for this cause? For Maverick?
"I'm feeling quite comfortable here, thank you Haven." he said with the utmost civility. "Take your rest Haven.. why don't you move the grave situations to the morrow and have a drink?"

(( Hehe, he's getting more and more dark as this rp goes... O.o ))
Haven's mouth twitched in annoyance slightly at this outward disobedience. "Very well..." came his reply slowly. He stared Keith down a moment before turning to leave. "Come, Waverly."
Waverly frowned, her feet remaining planted a moment on the ground. The firm jerk on her arm from her cousin's hand let her know that it was not an option. With a sort of desperate glance back at Keith, she walked out of the room at Haven's heels.
(( Dunno... sorry, Misa. ))

Rose quickly finnished bandaging Tomos's wound while listening. She watched his face until he finnished talking, then looked at the ground in thought.
"Yeah, just like that," she said, idly dabbing the small cut on her leg with the wet cloth. She just bandaged it, knowing it didn't need stitches. "I wonder how long it takes for the cloud - or dresser - to get moved away."
Rose went to bandaging the fingers on her right hand that got tore up from firing so many arrow. When she finnished that, she dabbed at the cut on her cheek with the cloth...

Ronin and Lilith sat quietly watching the exchange, both of their face pulled tight in an uhappy exchange.
Lilith was especially annoyed at how Haven was treating his cousin. She shot him an angry look, but otherwise held her tongue. Waverly was a kind soul as was Keith, she didn't think they should be treated so disrespectfully.
Ronin caught sight of his sister's gaze and patted her shoulder in an attempt to quiet her anger. She gave a huff of anger and turned back to brother to dab his bruised eye with a cool rag, using it to draw her mind from the injustice.
"If you ever treat me so, Ronin...so help me," she attempted to say in an angry whisper, but she was too flustered to finish the sentence.
"Peace, sister," the man replied calmly, "I trust your judgement well enough to let you do as you wish."
Lilith gave her brother a pleading look, "Ronin, would you speak with him? All know that you are the coolest head here, and an outside party to the disagreement. He would take your suggestions best...and if you do not, then I shall voice the concern myself," she threatened. Her chin stuck out defiantely.
Ronin frowned and shook his head and sighed. He was not looking forward to talking with an angry Haven, but he would like less for his sister to do so. His frown deepened as he responded, "I shall think on it, Lilith. But I will not promise anything."

{OOC//I am so sorry for not replying guys. I posted in another section of the forum to explain my sporadic appearances...>.> Oh, and I quickly skimmed through the other posts, so I'm not completely 100% aware of what's going on. Then again, neither is my character...}
Rubin had fallen into a trance-like state as the men marched her through the forest. She wondered about her horse; the animal had probably ran home by now. Once she stumbled over a log, the lower hem of her dress ripping.
Rubin was exhausted when they reached the camp. She barely noticed when Haven handed her to another man to hold. Hearing a familiar voice, though, she shooke her head and saw an even more familiar face. "Marran?" She asked, quietly at first. "Marran, is that you?"

Marran nodded. "Yes, but what happened? Why are you here?" she asked, not wanting to get up, her ankle had not yet been treated.

Rubin brushed a finger through her ebony hair. She looked rather pale and dazed.
"I don't know...I was looking for...for the Shadin. I think I found them," she said with a sad, bitter smile. "There was a battle...and lots of blood..." She closed her eyes suddenly, trying not to gag.

The member of the Shadin who'd been asigned to guard her nudged her Rubin slightly. "Hold your tongue, whelp. You've not been given permission to speak. You're in our custody now, until Haven Maverick comes to question you." He glanced over at Marran. "Same goes for you."

Lilith stood up and brushed off her dusty skirts, a stern look fixed on her delicate features. She was quite tired of the men, the girls should be just fine talking to one another so long as it was loud enough for the rest of them to hear.
Ronin inwardly groaned as he saw his sister stand. She was often quiet and controlled her emotions well, but when her patience reached its end there was no reasoning with her.
The small woman stalked over to the guard, a very different movement than her usual quick flutterings. She coughed into her hand to catch his attention and said in a voice as authoratative as she could, "Let them speak. They will be no danger if you can hear their words, correct? It will also do well if they were more calm, a nervous person is hardly worth anything for information as they get confused. So, let them speak,"she reiterated and added quickly as her confidence started draining, "and if Master Maverick has a problem with them...then he may take it up with me," she finished determinedly.

The man, who was not much taller than Lilith herself, stared at her wide-eyed, apparently a bit taken aback. After all, he'd only been following orders. "Y-yes ma'am," he stuttered, his eyes shifting away from her.

Tomos thought for another moment (he seemed to be doing a lot of that lately). "To keep with the metaphor, I guess that would depend on how heavy the dresser is, and how far you have to move it." He watched as she cleaned and bandaged her own hands. "It would also depend on your own strength and the strength of your friend." he added.
"Stop, you're missing spots." Tomos told Rose as she dabbed a cut on her cheek. As he tried to sit up, blackness clouded his eyes. It took him a moment to let it pass. He was still weak from the bloodloss, even though most of the bleedind had stopped. He picked up one of the last clean rags and dipped it in the water bowl. "Its hard to get cuts on your own face, isn't it?" Ringing it out, he cautiously lifted his hand to wash her cheek, seeing how she would respond.
