Louis was a bit disconnected from his body at the moment, he wasn't sure what was going on. One moment he was feeling the last remnants of life leaving him, and the next moment he felt more alive than he had ever felt before. His eyes had gone from a somber blue, to a piercing almost milky blue color that were quite beautifully shocking, and upon command Louis opened his eyes for Lestat as he took a deep breath of his new life. "What have you done to me?"

Lestat smiled down at his new fledgling, admiring every detail of the lustrous brown hair and the striking blue eyes. The die was cast. Now the game began. Now he would see where the pieces would fall.
"I have given you a new life." He held out a hand. "Come. Walk with me. See the world as I see it."
'As if that could ever be,' he thought.

Louis licked his lips, feeling the blood stained upon the soft petals, fingers reached up to touch his teeth that had suddenly sharpened. This was not what he had expected, he was in pain, his body twisting and churning.

His mortal body was dying, leaving nothing but a shell for his immortal soul. He could not hear what the other man was saying, but he followed Lestat nonetheless.

"Your body is dying," Lestat said without turning. "Pay no attention. It will be over soon." He strolled down the alley behind the tavern. This was a perfect place to find victims, and Louis would need to feed soon.

Louis tried to pay no attention to dying, but he couldn't. Every step he took the deeper the pain cut into him before he had to stop and lean against the side of the building that led into the alley way. Head falling forward as he gasped for breath. It wasn't long before that pain ripped through him like fire before disappearing immediately. His breath was no longer needed and he pulled himself up, a new pain was flitting through him. A hunger pain...

Lestat stepped behind his fledgling, sensing his hunger. He smiled, closing his eyes as he breathed in the scent of a new vampire. Just then a young woman stepped out of the tavern, her skirts tied up and her mop of ragged hair loose. Lestat pulled back and pushed Louis forward.
"Take her," he whispered.
