[ Oh JF, that was such a sad post. I kinda feel sorry for the slightly schyzofrenic, clumsy Headless Horseman  ]
Fluffy giggled at Eä's response and was just about to walk over to the Dining Room when the Headless Horseman entered. He looked as if he'd wandered around the Mansion for days and that they were the first living souls he was to behold.
"I didn't have enough sleep, but I'm fairly well, thank you Horseman," Fluffy replied kindly to the man. He looked somewhat untidy to her, which contradicted his ealier impression. "And how are you Horseman?" she asked, concern written on her pale face. _________________

"Yes the kicthen seems a good idea" said The Horseman. "You never can find the staff when you need to".
"I am fine thank you, now Fluffy" replied The Horseman, as he straighetened his cravat and brushed some dust from his waistcoat. "Would you like to join Indilwen and myself in finding the kitchen?" he asked.
[I feel sorry for him as well actually. It's sad when you have to talk to yourself for company]

Eä was about to bring her hand to her mouth in a classical surprised and slightly shocked expression as the Headless Horseman entered. Yet before she could move he had grabbed her hand and Eä had a strange feeling that the Horseman would have kissed it politely if he could.
"The pleasure is all mine", she mumbled, rather overwhelmed and bewildered, returning a slight curtsey in reply to the Horseman's courteous greeting.
Eä glanced between the others.
I would love to accompany you to..."
She hesitated, feeling still like the latest arrived guest.
"... to some other room." She finished the sentence.
[I know, I really just need to go back and have a look at the maps and try to read up a bit on everything... Bear with me for now.]

"We are off to the kitchen" said The Horseman noticing that Ea was slightly hesitatant. "We have not seen the staff for quite a while and we would like some tea".

There was the sound of merry singing - or rather yelling - coming from the kitchen of the mansion. The voice belonged to Goldleaf, and there was a clanking of milk bottles and the whistling of a kettle to accompany her.

Catherine woke from her restful sleep with a yawn. The events of the day before had stressed her so that sleep was quite easy, despite the eerie feeling the house gave off after the murder.
She slipped from her bed and dressed in a simple high waisted skirt and white blouse - style was still very important in her mind. She picked up a warm glass of tea in the kitchen and decided to stay there, leaning casually on a counter while she finished it.

Fragile stood up and stretched. She could hear voices near the front door; perhaps others were out and about. One way or another, she had not had anything to eat all day and wanted to go see what she could find in the kitchen.
Walking inside again, empty teacup in hand, Fragile felt proud of herself as she remembered the right turns to take to reach the kitchen. She entered, washing her teacup out in the sink and then opening one cabinet at a time in an attempt to find something appetizing for a mid-day breakfast.

Stalking the others to the kitchen she soon found herself in the middle of a small party.
"Good day everyone", Eä said swigning her black pointed witch's hat about, letting her wind blown hair loose.
"Peace and healthy karma to you all", she added, before her eyes caught food.
Eä slipped down on a seat near Goldleaf producing a jar of purple and green cookies onto the table, which she eagerly started to dip into the milk.

Fluffy opened up the kitchen door and cried out: "Ah we've got more company! It seems that more people were out to fetch something to eat."
She waved to Catherine, Fragile and Goldleaf and hopped over to the kitchen cabinets in order to search it for more delicious cookies.
Edit: When her search ended in a disappointment her eyes fell on the kitchen table and the plate with cookies. She smiled and started to attack the cookies.

The Horseman found himself a glass of milk and some chocolate fudge cake. "Heaven" he said with a sigh.
He proceeded to take a chunk of the cake and throw it into his neck, whilst pouring some milk between his collar. "Delicious" he said, and made a noise like lips smacking together in appreciation of good food.

"Hello," Fragile said, smiling in the direction of the group and noting the appearance of a new guest. "Does anyone know where Kit keeps the bagels?... Nevermind, here they are." Fragile pulled out some bagels and butter and then sat down at the kitchen table with another cup of tea.

Indilwen walked along with the others to the kitchen, wondering who was singing so boldly and merrily. Upon entering the room, she saw Goldleaf. "Goldleaf!" she cried happily, rushing over to her. "You've already got the water on for tea, I see!" She rummaged around the kitchen, looking for all things sweet and edible.

Goldleaf waved at everyone who had entered the kitchen. She grinned at Indilwen and made herself busy making a nice old-fashioned cup o'old grey tea. She sipped it with relish.
"Blimey! You're all a bit grim today. Where's old Saffron Orange, then?" she said cheerfully. Suffice to say, she had missed a lot.

Having found a rather hidden plate of plump scones, Indilwen headed over to the table. "Ah, the tea smells wonderful!" She sat herself down and smiled, but the smile froze on her face when she heard what Goldleaf had said. "Well, she won't be coming today..." she began, unsure of how to break the news to her. "You see, we had an incident..."

Onto his second slice of cake The Horseman heard the inquiry about Saffron.
"Ah, it was a sad thing indeed" he said. "There she was.. drowned in the fountain... with an old map of the world by her side, and her cat has gone missing as well" he added. "Still" he said brightly, finishing his slice. "We can't be too morbid as it could have been a crazed passerby".
