From up in the room where she had been currently immersed in a mystery novel, PD heard a cry from below. It could easily be heard above the humming noise of voices in the first story. "What in the world...?" she muttered to herself and she rushed downstairs and, standing still on the end of the staircase, asked, "what happened? Someone died?!" her pulse was pounding and her eyes were wide, wondering who it could have been.

Kit made a face at Tar and then turned to everyone else, whispering behind her hand, "She's the next to go." And winked.

Grinning at the joke, Aria lurched out of her seat. "Not Tar!" she said, flying across the room and glomping said crazy personage. "Oh well. I promise we'll all grieve you darling. 'Honestly,'" she continued, grinning at the quote, "'There could be tears!'"

Kit peeked out in the hallway and noticed Calloniel PD standing along at the bottom of the stairs, "Would you care to join us? And no one's died. I've just had a really bad sense of humor."
She re-entered the conversation in the dining room just to hear Elegost's departing words. "Men are quite protective, aren't they? We're glad you're not like them, Horseman... I'm afraid a pink fan won't do much protecting." She patted the Horseman's broad shoulders, which was also an odd sight as the Horseman was quite tall and she was....er.... well... [ahem].

Fragile was too stunned to laugh at Kit's joke at first, but then she started laughing in spite of herself. She enjoyed the laughter; it loosened up something inside that was normally tight and hard.
"I hope Tar's not the next one to go," Fragile said. "Who would we get our movie trivia from then?"

PD gave Kit the evil eye while joining the group. "you people are just sick, you know? Here I was, honestly worried and I rushed all the way down here..." she shook her head, rolling her eyes at them. "you're just sick." She turned to Tar, "good luck with that." She couldn't help but break into a small smile. "Well, then... what were you guys doing before we were so interrupted?" She looked past them and into the room, noticing some game pieces which had been dropped to the floor at the sudden commotion.

Catherine (who had magically been standing about the whole time) watched in a near shock as Kit exclaimed, "Murder!"
Her mind however was put at ease when the woman merely described a story that she had remembered.
"Honestly, Kit. You gave me a fright," she said with a nervous smile.

Lady Death started at the sound of Kit's cry and managed to fall rather unceremoniously to the floor. She hadn't even noticed herself nodding off. . . After being helped up by her husband who filled her in on everything that had happened in a hoarse whisper [he never missed anything] she poured herself a cup of tea and waved at Elegost as he passed on his way out.
[True story.  I really did nod off. ]
