Fragile stood towards the back of the group, horror written on her face. How could this happen? They were just with us yesterday, and now... Fragile took a step forward, trembling. "They didn't deserve to die like this," she whispered.

Indilwen turned away from the gruesome scene. "Well, now Saffron will have the company she desired so badly..." she whispered. "And the rest of us have a duty to the deceased to find their killer, somehow..." She turned around again, and stepped forward, looking distrustfully at the previously welcoming bookcases.

Fragile sat down at a table, clenching her hand into a fist. "What do we do now?" she asked, her voice little more than a whisper. "If it was an accident, then it's sad. But if it was a murder, then it's terrible. How could a murderer have gotten into the house while we were all up and about though?"

"Well, we know at least one person that couldn't do this." Kit said, in comfort.
"It wasn't Death!"
Suddenly, there was a splotlight a cane, a top hat, and the sound of rolling drums and a crash of symbols.
She threw the props away to the side and straightened herself. "Sorry, bad joke."

Indilwen threw her head in her hands. "Very helpful." Suddenly she looked as though she was having a hard time suppressing a smile, however.
She straightened herself up and marched over toward a nearby wall, to hide the smile and help in the search for a long-secret passageway.

Lady Death's head was pounding. She stood up, rubbing her eyes, as though that would help clear her mind, and suddenly felt as though her heart had plummeted down to her feet. Almost afraid to look she glanced down and found herself floating above the dusty carpet. Slowly, she turned toward her husband and let out an exasperated sigh. "Well that's bloody ironic, isn't it?" she asked rather crossly. He didn't reply but instead nodded at something behind her. She turned and found herself to face to face with the rest of the house guests.
"Oh, hello."
[Oh, and don't question teh Kit about my death. We worked it out earlier when I realised that I had put myself in a bit of a pickle by playing an immortal character.]

"They all must've come with the house. The library is made of all sorts of donations and purchases. I know I brought my books here, but the community donated as well---along with some of my friends." Kit said, "Who I've disowned for liking Twilight."
Kit let out a gasp at the sound of Lady Death. "Lady Death! You've returned! And with Lord Death! <i>Who'd thought?</i>"

Fragile almost smiled at Kit's explanation of how the books had reached her library, but then was distracted by the appearance of Lady Death's ghost.
