Your avatar looks wedding-ishy too!
Oh, Sweet Home Alabama. Yes, that was a pretty sweet garden set-up for a wedding. Surrounded by a manor/castle...makes for a pretty twist. Hm, I'd love to see a castle one day. Sadly, I've never been out of the US to see one yet---or even to the desert & Scotty's Castle! (though I did see Biltmore Estates in June).
There are so many beautiful places in the world.

Aww, just came back from the Big Wedding. I only had a couple of hours of sleep last night, so I'm going to be lazy and copy a bit from my post in the WT. Unfortunately, they couldn't get married in the gardens because of rainy weather so they had it in a beautifully decorated room overlooking the gardens.
The wedding was really princessy and held at a small castle from 1500-something. The guests got a guided tour of the castle while the happy couple had their pictures taken and we got all the horror stories of unfortunate ladies being buried alive in the walls of the castle for having followed their hearts and loved servants or peasants. At one place a part of the wall had been brought down so we had a clear look at the remains of one of those ladies, her skull and bones at her final resting place... But the rest of the wedding was just perfect and beautiful and princessy!

Ooh, sound exciting, Eä Such a differrent and yet creative idea. All weddings are the same these days and it's cool to see something different for once.

^Must agree to that one, all weddings these days seem to be all the same, i think if i ever get married it will be on a field at the end of the day at sunset or at midnight in the woods with not many people, and little lights guiding me to the altar... sounds stupid i know but dont wanna be the same as everybody else.
anyway enought bout that, i think the weding was different in a good way , sounded like fun and exciting, most of the weings ive been to have been really dull and boring. i'm so terriable at weddings, last one i went to i silt gravy down my dress, way really bad as i was maid of honour.. but funny at the same time, lol

Nay, it's not stupid at all. I like the idea. If I ever marry it will be different as well. I'm Wiccan so I plan on having a Wiccan wedding with a medieval or renaissance theme, outside and in a forest. I don't care for very large wedding crowds so only a limited amount of people for me. Probably around 50, maybe 75 at the max.

Yay for wedding talks. I never saw myself as the romantic type but it's really difficult not fall in love with romanticism when you are at a wedding!
It's great to hear about you wedding plans... or dreams... I think I'm gonna give it a shot with my questions from the previous page:
Have you all been to some interesting weddings? How do you imagine your own wedding? And what are the wedding traditions and customs where you live?
Like Mrs Haldir.. do you think 50-75 people is a small wedding crowd??? Here it would be a normal sized wedding, I would even say that 75 invited guests would be considered for a big wedding.. but it might have something to do with weddings being sooo expensive, I think.

^ 50-75 people would be a smallish to medium sized wedding. People that either don't have a ton of people to invite/can't spend a lot of money/just want a small wedding might invite around that number, some with less guests, some with more.
Like, there are usually 40-60 people at our family reunion each year... if I went to a wedding with that many people, I'd call it small. But to each their own.

i dont agree with big fancy weddings, too much hastle, and i always pictured things going wrong, no i always believed in small weddings, with just a few close friends (and maybe my family).
The more simple it would be the more i would enjoy it

Hey, it's been a long time since I looked in here. The elections are pretty heated. I already voted with an absentee balet because I am out of state right now.
