So I was at the bookstore today and they have a new Special Edition Harry Potter and the Soceror's stone novel... it is the same book just with a neat cover and such...

When I opened it to one of the first pages there was a sketch of one of J.K's first sketches of what she imagined Snape to look like... a bit dark



and a quote talking about how she spent so long denying that Snape was a vampire, but that he did have a very Count Draculaesque cloak!

I see where she got her inspiration from now... Snape has something Dracula to him... and he fits the description of vampires in popular art and literature, I just never thought of it before.

I am surprised at how many Snape fans there are. To be honest it almost scares me. What is our fascination with tragic, dark, cloak wearing figures with a sad/mysterious past?

Thanks, JF! Sorry for hurrying you along... I just didn't want to keep everyone else waiting for too long. I was sure you would come up with something amazing. Is that an actual photo of AR Snape or an illustration? There's something about it that makes it hard to tell...
