Those last few lines were gold.
Pure gold.
Also. I'm really loving the Draco Malfoy shots since it's such a huge installment for him. [fist pump]
And omg. LUPIN. REMUS LUPIN. LUUUUUUUPIIIIINNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I discovered the link a day or so ago and just found this topic. YAY.
I'm so freaking out. In the glimpse with Hagrid and everyone surrounding him I was trying to squint to see who all was there. And does anyone know who's holding the wand?
Also, why is there hardly any indication of the upcoming Harry/Ginny? I mean, there's Ron/Lavender which is also central but... [shrug]
Not that I'm a huge fan of trio-romances, but I was curious.
Also, there needs to be something more with Tonks/Lupin or I will blow my top. Can we get a movieship for Luna/Neville please?
PLEASE?

0.5 seconds with Snape? Highly disappointing!
Umm.. what's with the LotR-ish start... it reminds me too much of deja-vu... bum bum... where did I see it? Oh, Gandalf fighting Saruman on Orthanc, lol.
Other than that... yeah, "I am the Chosen One" - such a *whack* moment!

You didn't think that last bit was cheesy? I'm not too sure what to think of it yet.
@ Kit: I won't say what that particular scene is since it's be a major spoiler, but it's McGonagall who casts the spell.
@ Eä: Hello my fellow Snape connosieur. Does Snape look different to you? Somehow he almost looks younger... LOL. That's exactly what I thought as well when I saw it. My LotR fan always comes out first I suppose.

and yes it is McGonagall holding the wand... and that is an amazing scene.... sweet jezzus
all those clips, and Snape sauntering down with the others behind him... i must say it... hot!
LOL moment at the end... poor harry, just because he is the chosen one and all...

I'm trying to remember what scene that is from the book... but it's not coming to me. It's nothing specific right? It's just. [SPOILER]
Everyone at Hogwarts out of bed to fight the Death Eaters?

Larael-- it's interesting, I actually think Snape looked, I don't know how to put it.. tired.. older, worn out... I'll need to see the trailer again.. my YouTube connection has been really bad lately aka. our internet connection is slow...
Quite frankly, I think Harry is annoying and I sincerely hope he was saying this to annoy Hermione... really! *shifty eyes*
Why are we warning for spoilers here? Can't we assume that if people haven't read the books they aren't die-hard fans and don't care much for spoilers? And if they come to this thread, they're fans who have read the books.

I've been so out of the loop... HP is kinda on the back burner for me fandom-wise.
Who's the girl at the end supposed to be? A character with a name, or just some random admirer of Harry?

I'm being spoiler-y because I read a few detailed accounts of movie from early screenings. There are some really big scenes that are just glimpsed in that trailer.
@ Kit: Hmm, if my memory serves me correctly I read about it being a much more spoiler-y scene from someone who caught an advanced screening.
SPOILER - I thought it was the scene right after Dumbledore has died and everyone is gathered around his body. Apparently, McGonagall sends some light up into the air or everyone lights their wands... It's something like that. That part of it is fuzzy for me.
@ Eä: Odd! His face looks less lined to me...
@ Ëarendyë: At first I thought it was Romilda Vane, but now I'm thinking it's just a random admirer.

SPOILERvv
@Kit: I thought that was the scene as well, but in the book I remembered it being a bit more funeral like, with chairs and such, and not so gloomy outside. In the trailer it looked more like a fight than anything else...

So, while reading the book, I thought McLaggen was some big ugly brutish type of person who talked about himself all the time. I came across a picture.

Does this surprise anyone else, or did I just have a weird mental image?

*SQUEEL!* Oh my gosh! Is it just me, or did anyone else practically drool when they saw that clip? AHHHH!!!!! I am so excited for this stupid movie to come out.
[rant]
There is no reason what so ever that they need to have the movie come out in the summer. Seriously (pun ^_^), i think it will do better if it came out now. The difference between this movie and the dark knight is that we knew the DK would come out in the summer. HP has been moved back further and further every time. It really is annoying. Lord of the Rings did perfectly fine when it came out in December (actually, if i recall, it did much better than the dark knight). GRRR.
[/rant]
But still, sup's excited about this movie.

Just wanted to point out [after having an amazing revelation today] that the moving of the movies release date could actually be a good thing. Sure, we have to wait, but at least it won't come out on a Thursday night/Friday morning as it had been planned. That's a school night, and there's not way my parents would have let me out to see it at midnight.
By the way, I just rewatched the trailer and I have a few generic questions - Did any of you catch the line "Fight back you coward!" [apparently it wasn't supposed to be in the movie at all]? How does everyone feel about Dumbledore's cursed hand? And who did not laugh at Bella dancing up and down outside of Hagrid's burning hut?

I re-watched it again too since I promised you, Larael, to look out for Snape. But isn't it like there was even less of him in it now? One nano-second... too little to form an opinion about really...
Why wasn't 'Fight back, you coward' not supposed to be in the movie?

It is rather disappointing not to see him for more than a split second, but I think we can glean a lot from that second. Such as, it looks as though he's being followed by DEs, which could suggest that is after he's killed Dumbledore, or possibly before.
I'm not really sure why. I remember hearing something about it, but I don't think a reason was given. Perhaps I'm getting confused with Snape's line "I am not a coward". Maybe it's that one that doesn't make the cut.
