Keith sat in the back of his cell, staring at the ceiling, thinking. That seemed to be the only thing he could do. Lost thoughts and doubts now came back to torment him. Five days he'd calculated that it would cost the men of the King to return. Four for the journey and perhaps one to take a look around.
Escape, he'd found, seemed to be a lost cause. They came twice a day. Once to dump his plate -a watery kind of soup- and once to empty his toiletbucket. But his door never opened, only a small hatchway... and with hardly the strength to make his way over to the other side of his cell escape almost seemed impossible.

Five days.. Keith thought That would surely give them enough time to escape? Would they already know he'd gone missing? Perhaps they thought he had betrayed them all..
He shook wildly his head to drive away the thoughts. If he wouldn't go mad by his own doubts then there was always the gnawing pain.. Keith lay down on his side, banned out all of his thoughts to fall asleep; so he just didn't have to think.

Tomos nodded at Haven and Ronin, concern in his eyes. With his injury, any number of things could have happened to Keith. He shook off the feeling, however. No good letting it bother him when two good men were out to take care of it. Instead Tomos looked around the camp quickly, making sure everyone was ready to go. Even after last night's chaotic fight, the camp had become organized come morning. Every one was waiting to go, holding the bags that help thier belongings. Now the only thing left was to wait for Haven and Ronin to return.

Ronin shook his head and looked to Haven. "I don' see any sign of 'im. We cannae waste anymore time, we should get back now," he said with a weary sigh. He should have gone after Keith as soon as Waverly had noticed his absence.

Lilith glanced over to Tomos and offered the stern looking man and half-hearted smile. They were all on edge at the loss of a comrade, she just hoped to get everything settled before they were off. Her eyes looked about the forest -dense, green and lovely- she was not looking forward to leaving it for the city. A year before she might have, but the forest had since become her home and she would miss it.

Haven nodded solemnly, his head swimming. How would he tell Waverly? Not to mention that this wasn't going to look too good on his account. He sighed. "Back to camp, then," he murmured absently. "We can't afford to waste any more time."

The silence was almost tangible as Haven and Ronin returned to the hall. Waverly's eyes locked with her cousin's and Haven just shook his head and looked away.
