Gwenneth was feeling quite excited to be attending an A-U event again (and the Christmas Ball, of all events!). It had been so long since she had spoken with her friends, and had so many fond memories of eating, dancing and snowball fights from the years before.

As she entered the enormous banquet hall, upon Elegost's arm, she remarked to him, "This feels right, doesn't it? I'm only realizing now how much I've missed all this."

With eyes wide in wonder, Gwenneth surveyed the room. The glowing fire warmed her at once and drew her further in, the decorations were beautiful, and though she couldn't put her finger upon it, the room seemed to even smell like Christmas.
"It's perfect!" she exclaimed.

SilverRose walked sedately up to the impressive doors, her handsome Tony Stark escorting her down the slippery walkway. He bowed and opened the door for her and she smiled up at him. As they entered the large hall, Silver gasped at the extravagant surroundings. "It's....it's stunning!" she said breathlessly. "As are you," Tony intoned. She rolled her eyes at the tacky line and elbowed him in the side.

As they walked further into the room, Tony heard the word "gambling". "Uhh, I'll be over there," he muttered and scurried off to join the game. "Some date," Silver huffed and followed him over to the group.

TT ventured over to greet the newcomers. "Hey! Welcome. Merry Christmas!", she said, smiling. She was simply excited.

"Glorfindel, will you stop being a show off and help your wife walk through the snow. Unlike you I do not have the gift of the eldar and cannot walk ontop of the snow... I sink through it..." Pandora muttered as she slowly made her way towards the large house where the Yule ball was, heels dipping right into the snow all the way up to her knees.

Glorfindel smirked as he danced around on the snows surface, his long length of blond hair bound back at the nape of his neck with a golden ribbon that matched Pandora's dress.

"Awe come now Panda..." Glorfindel bounded along the snow to lift Pandora right out of the snow and hold her bridal style as he walked towards the front door. Pandora wrapped her arms around her husbands neck and nuzzled against his warmth.

"Oh, now look at what you've started," Nurr grumbled to Mat. "Ah well. Can't be helped now, I guess. The word is spreading." This was accompanied by a nod to a man hurrying their direction. "Hello Silver!" She called. "Oh, and look, there's Gwenneth! I suppose you must amuse yourself. But don't take all their money, will you? I know, I know, it's your luck and not your fault. Just...keep it easy on the dice, right?" She moved to greet others as Mat flashed her a grin and flung himself down at a nearby table.

Nuilanwen jumped at the sound of Faramir's voice.

"Oh! Hello. Thank you for being my escort for the Ball." she said to him politely. She looked wishfully over at the food again. "I wonder when we can start eating. The food looks like it will be quiet amazing..." she mused a loud then blushed slightly. "N-Not that I'm a glutton or anything of course. Just hungry."

Soon the two elders were inside of the home and warming up as they shed their coats and put them on the holders that rested conveniently by the door. Pandora's eyes widened in awe as she stared around the beautifully decorated hall, looking this way and that at all the lights and baubles.

"Come on love, let's go see who else is here..." Glorfindel said as he wrapped his arm around his wife's waist and lead her towards the banquet hall where the voices were coming from.

SilverRose waved at Nurr and ran after Tony. "Come back here, you dork! I won't have you wasting all of our money, or rather your money, on something so unethical as gambling! Come with me and be sociable."

Tony sighed as Silver pulled him towards Pandora and her husband. "Hello, I thought I'd come over and talk to you," she said cheerfully. "I love your dress, Pandora!"

The two men rolled their eyes behind the women's backs at this comment. "Women," Tony mutter. "All they think about is clothes."

MH and her husband Haldir arrived at the house in a horse-drawn carriage. A heavy snow began to fall (it is where I am lol) during the ride. The carraige pulled up to the front steps and the pair stepped out, pulling the cold of their cloaks over their heads.
They linked their arms and headed up the steps and entered the house. They then shook off the snow from the cloaks before hanging them in the cloak room.
"The snow is really starting to come down," MH said.
"Indeed," Haldir agreed.
"I am a little hungry, how about we head over to the Banquet Hall and grab a late lunch?"
"Sure, love."
"Great, let's go." Mrs. Haldir took her husband's hand and they made their way to the Banquet Hall and stepped inside. She nearly gasped at the beautifully decorated room, filled with various foods and decorations.
Haldir smiled, leaning over and whispered to his wife, "I think our dear JF has outdid herself this time, it is much bigger than last year."
"Indeed," MH replied. "I think is the best so far. I can only imagine what the others rooms look like."
"I am sure they will be magnificent, my love," Haldir. "Now come, I see some vegetables and potatoes with our names on them." He lead his wife over to the table the served themselves a light meal. Although Haldir did not say it, he was a tad hungry himself. The two then sat down fire in front of a the fire place and ate.

Llew brushed flakes of newly fallen snow from his black cloak, stamping his feet at the same time to dislodge the snow from them. He glanced up at the entrance, then back out at the courtyard; still no sign of her. "Probably already here," he said under his breath, adding: "and me fashionably late as usual." He took the marble steps two at a time, pausing one last time to shake the snow from his clothing, and then pushed open the great door.

The Banquet hall was breathtaking. The glow from hundreds of candles gave it a surreal appearance, and the smells...Llew raised an eyebrow in appreciation.

A small knot of people stood near a fire, and Llew started toward them. He halted before JF, sweeping an elegant bow to her. "I believe I have you to thank for the invitation. I would say," he said, glancing around at the magnificence, "that you've outdone yourself."

He was still troubled however, because Sairahiniel was nowhere in sight.
