Cookie shot her date a death glare. "No, we're just going to have extra fun to make up for the time we lost. What's wrong, dear. I thought you wanted to come."

"I did. I mean I do. It's just you never mentioned anything about masquerading."

"It'll be fun! I promise... Milk."

"Yeah, about our lovely new nicknames, couldn't you have come up with something more original then Cookie and Milk?"

"Would it help if I called you agent Milk?" Cookie asked mischievously. When her date shook his head no she responded by taking him and the hand and dragging him in with everyone else. "Come on! Let's join in the fun!"

Her hubby soon came back, with not punch, but wine and handed a glass to Raina. She nodded at Leila as she sipped her wine, "Yeah...I'm not used to being around so much people..."

Seeing the two jesters she begins to giggle uncontrollably and manages to snort cider through her nose. Still laughing she wipes her nose with a handkerchief and waves to them, "What too you so long?"

{Oh gosh, this day has been very busy for me. No time to post...xD}

Fluffy and Trepak re-entered the ballroom--they had to leave a while ago, and were busy all afternoon. Fluffy wandered over to the refreshments table. She mindlessly munched on a cookie as she looked at everyone's costumes.

"Ohhh, you know..." the man replied waving a hand in front of his face, "too many choices."

The Gyspy woman laughed as she saw the snorting woman. "What he said. Sir Jester did not wish to put on the hat. I told him that his hair was to recognizable what with it's gravity defying principles."

"What am I supposed to do about that? My hair is naturally fluffy," he rejoined with a huff.

"Sorry love. Im sorry sir..." She was still dabbing at her face and laughing, "Very rude of me. And I was so trying to the lady. Somehow Masquerades always make the fool of me. Instead of being "Lady Red" I seem to be "Lady Snort". Most embarrassing." Ashalind jokes good-naturedly, "But your hair looks most... fluffy. It reminds me of a kitten."

Over Doctor's shoulder she spots her date and sighs. "Good lord. And now Im a state... Oh well. At least my mask is still fine." She gives a last small giggle before gliding towards Prince Charming. "We're even now. I was late and now you're late. Shall we dance?"

Isabel entered the room quietly and slightly adjusted her mask. There didn't seem to be many people here yet, but she walked to the refreshment table and greeted a couple standing there.

"Hello, my name is Isabel," she said, extending her hand.

Fluffy shook Isabel's hand. "Hello, dear. My name is Lady Fluffy Magical Reindeer--Fluffy for short--and this is Prince Trepak," she said with a smile. The man in the velvety reindeer suit bowed politely and kissed Isabel's hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you, m'lady," he said.

"I wonder who baked these cookies?" Fluffy thought outloud. "They're delicious!"

Christmas is here, bringing good cheer, to young and old, meek and the bold.

Glory nodded, a gentle smile on her lips. With another glance around she saw more masqueraders arrive. Yet the hall was large enough that it wasn't even close to being crowded.
"Hm... now I feel like some apple pie," she said, taking a sip of her wine. "Would you like some, too?"

Lady Death wrung her hands, searching high and low amongst the crowd for her dearest Lord Death. He'd disappeared much earlier than she had hoped without even the prospect of a dance. Resigned to going at it alone she made her way to the punch bowl and took a sip of the most delicious looking drink, which unfortunately had no taste for her.

"Dear me! It is quite hot in here!" Haliel said to her date, Aiden. "I suppose we should have left earlier."

Unsure about what to do, Haliel sat in a nice chair where she could do some decent people watching while Aiden got her a drink.

Groucho spied Lady Death standing by the punch bowl. Continuing his crossing of the room, he ended up standing beside her. "You know you aren't such a bad looking gal if I say so myself? Though I wish I *would* say so myself, at least that way I could get it over with and apologize all at once. Say, uh, do you know who runs this joint? I walk with it, personally, but you could do a skip or a hop if you wish. I wish you would. Perhaps then you might go and leave me in peace. Say! You haven't stopped talking since we got here! You must have been vaccinated with a phonograph needle!" With that he poured himself a glass of punch and headed off to find another [s]victim[/s] masquerader.

Glory nodded, and lead the way toward the table covered in pies. When she arrived there, she picked up a plate with a slice of apple pie.
"Which would you like? I'm having apple -for starters," she said, grinning, being friendly even to this woman who seemed not that friendly at first. But so did the Joker, yet she saw the best in him...

The Duke stood to one side of the room, watching the other masqueraders. Most of them seemed to be engaged in conversation, and he didn't want to interrupt- it went along with his natural charm. Spotting the man he had talked to earlier, he walked over to him. "Hello again. How are you enjoying the party?" he asked.
