Deawen fought off the goblins blindly. She guarded Legolas's back and took it seriously. She felt the sting of blood in her eye she blinked as her eyes began to water. Suddenly a goblin jumped from nowhere and tackled Deawen to the ground.

Ellethwen looked around. Her gaze turned to Mirima. "By the time the king's forces arrive, there will be no goblins left to kill," she said. She pushed back stray strands of midnight black hair from her eyes, tiredly. She did not have many arrows left now, and it looked as if they had pushed back the worst of the goblins.
Mirima gave Ellethwen a sharp look, but then her attention was captured by the sight of her younger sister being shoved to the ground by a goblin. She fitted an arrow into her longbow, and the arrow sang through the air, piercing the creature through the back, so that it toppled off Deawen.

Thranduil could feel the creatures in his forest and felt fear sinking into his very veins. There was no way that the yrch could have come so close to them, their borders were heavily guarded. Knowing this did not set well with the King, if the goblins had slipped past the best warriors that he had, then they were in grave danger.

The King of Mirkwood alerted his men of the danger and told them to disband immediately to help those that were in the midst of battle. He knew that his children were amid the danger, he could feel that as well...

Not moments after he alerted his men were they heading out towards the battle, Mirkwood elves dressed in metal and armor, their bows singing through the air as they cut through the trees and finally came to aid.

Thranduil wanted nothing more than to help, but he knew he had to keep within his Kingdom, he had to protect those that could not fight, he only prayed to the valar to keep his family safe.

[[Jax, we wanted to know- me and ara- how you wanted the brothers death to go?]]

[[ :headwall: I must admit I forgot about this, until I was reminded by Pandora's post.. quite sorry for holding everyone up.. what say we keep going now, aye? ;-) ]]

Aramel offered Ryninial her wounded hand, quickly learning that this girl was no warrior; she was simply a healer, yet she would come in handy once this fight was finished. Many of the others were wounded badly and needed medical attention, but would not recieve it right away. "Ai!" she hissed; the stinging had seemed to intensify as blood met sweat. "I must thank you for your generousity..." She hoped to offer a smile, but could not as more blood rushed from the wound and onto Ryninial's hand.

-----------

Aragorn, who had become frustrated by the fight and Legolas's comment, grabbed the blonde's arm and stared him straight in the eye. "Do not speak so bitterly of one you don't know," he growled, not caring what sort of royalty this elf was. He wasn't any ordinary human, oh no, he was Aragorn, son of Arathorn; although he looked a ranger of the North, he was the last of heir of Isildur, and one day would be seated upon the throne of Gondor. "You are hurt; and I am skilled in the ways of healing."

"It is who I am... " Ryninial smiled gently as she took the maiden's hand in her own and gaged just how bad the wound was, but it was hard to see it through all of the blood dripping onto her own hands. Tearing some more of her gown she began to work on cleaning the wound. Now that the Mirkwood Army was here they could take a breath from the action and actually begin the healing.

"It's not that deep, it should heal in a matter of hours, a day at the most"

--------

Legolas was in pain, a lot of it, but he fought through the piercing twinges in his leg and continued to release his arrows with a fury not unlike anything seen before. He wanted his brothers and sisters to be safe, he wanted his kingdom to be safe and it showed in the way he fought. This passion was also his weakness. He was not trained for very long and was rather sloppy, his arrows missing their targets more than half the time even though they found a place in a yrch 100 percent of the time... it wasn't the ones he was aiming for.

He was about to release another arrow when he felt an arm on his own, his body swinging around and stopping right before the man. Legolas's eyes were dark, not their typical elven blue, lips curled in anger at being taken from the battle.

"Do not speak to me as if you know me either, man. I need not your help, our healers are skilled beyond your wildest dreams"

(Ah.. I don't care how he dies really. You just say when it happens and surprise me. After all one shouldn't know when their own death approaches. ;) )

Sylied fought eve3n harder as he saw the goblins diminishing in number. The sight of some of his sibling sbeing injured drove him further into the fight, cutting down goblins left and right. he blocked quickly and spun to avoid attacks, parying and ducking the deadly blows before returning a deadly blow of his own that lopped off arms, legs, and heads.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Zekiera was now out of swords, and knives to throw. The goblins were nearly defeated. He felt like dropping to the ground for a rest but he knew every moment waisted could potentualy mean someones life. Instead of fighting, however, he went to the nearest injured person.

A quick grasp of his hands drew the water out of the grass as he once again said a soft apology in an undecypherable language that floated out of his mouth like whisper hovering on a thin mist.

with his hands coated in water he began to heal in what ways he could, placing the cool water on the wounds and using his special abilities to mend and aid damaged flesh.

Ellethwen's head turned as the Elven soldiers of Mirkwood came through the trees. She exhaled deeply. "At last," she muttered. Though she was a skilled fighter, she had no taste for it. She was exhausted. Her gaze flickered around the scene.
Mirima looked with her, a smile playing on her lips as her father's forces arrived. She looked for her siblings. Sylied was fighting fiercely, an expert warrior as always, and Legolas was in conversation, somewhat angrily, with some man.
"Wretched yrch."
Hearing Ellethwen's voice, Mirima turned round. The Lorien maiden looked tired and weary. Mirima put a hand on her shoulder to steady her. The dark blue eyes flickered as if surprised. "You've done enough now," Mirima said, trying to be comforting. "You don't look well."
"We've all done enough," Ellethwen replied. "All of us have fought off these evil creatures as no one should have expected of such a small party. The king's own children amongst the warriors!"
"My father's forces are strong," Mirima said proudly. "They will fight off the last of the goblins, which should not take much work anyway, and we can all rest. You in particular."
"You think me frail?" the eyes blazed again.
"No, not at all. But you should rest anyway." Mirima took Ellethwen's arm and steered her towards the nearest tree, looking over her shoulder as she did so, in case any goblin thought to attack them from behind.

Deawen as soon as she was free from the goblin she sprang up into a tree, and intended to stay there until her father arrived. Her clothing was stiff with drying blood and torn in places from the fighting. She was shaking still, she had been trained to fight, to hold her own even when it seemed hopeless, but that was training, where she fought with other elves who would never actually cause her serious harm. But this fight was kill or be killed. She sat in the tree in a brooding silence watching the others.

A cheer rose to Taurvantian's lips at the sight of the soldiers, only to be repressed just as quickly. "It is high time," he muttered under his breath as his blade hungrily bit through another goblin-neck. It was a great relief to see the armies of Mirkwood finally issuing forth from among the trees. The goblins had suffered grievously, but the defenders had not gone unscathed, either. Some of them were injured, some badly, others not so badly. As long as the children of King Thranduil remained safe and whole... it would be the cause of great mourning if something should happen to them. And the fair she-elf from Lorien... Ellethwen! Taurvantian's blood nearly froze as he looked about for her, not finding her where he saw her last. He skillfully parried an attacking goblin before thrusting his sword through its wretched body. Where did she go? Was she hurt?

Taurvantian frantically looked around the scene, finally spotting Ellethwen near a tree, being led there by one of the king's daughters. She must be injured... something must be wrong... what was happening? He leaped after them, worry written all over his normally stolid face. Cursed yrch... go away! He struck down another goblin that strayed across his path. "Ellethwen!" he called to her as he neared the pair. "Ellethwen!"

Upon reaching them, he quickly slid his arm under her shoulders, helping her into a reclining position under the tree. "Are you alright?" he asked, his face a picture of worry and agony.

Megildurioncrawled over to an orc, and wrenched his spear free of the body, then pulled himself up and used the spear as a crutch. The situatiuon here was far worse than he thought, no wonder his father had sent him. Gasping his pain, he clenched his jaw and hobbled over to friendly troops. "I need healing. The yrch cut my heel out rom under me." He explained. A pair of soldiers took his weapons and supported him.

'Where is Thranduil?' Megildurion wondered.

Mirima looked round as she saw Taurvantian came up behind her and Ellethwen and put his arm under the Lorien elf's shoulders to help her under the tree. She sat down next to the dark-haired maiden, wondering at Taurvantian's urgency.
"I'm fine," Ellethwen replied. "I'm not hurt. Just... tired." She leaned back against the roots of the tree. "You needn't worry." She frowned a little, looking at Taurvantian's expression. It was a mixture of worry and distress. But why should he be so worried about her? After all, they had not known each other long, and there were people with serious injuries around her.
Mirima looked at Taurvantian. "She couldn't fight anymore, though she fought more bravely and fiercely than almost any warrior I've ever seen." Admiration crept into her voice. "The fatigue of battle took her, I think. She was running out of arrows, anyway."
"I can speak for myself," Ellethwen put in. She was still confused about Taurvantian's concern. She closed her eyes for a few moments, then opened them after a while. Nothing could be read in her eyes, no trace of any emotion was on her face.
Mirima rolled her eyes. "Be glad that we took you over here before some goblin came up behind you catching you unawares, and put it's blade in your back," she said.
"What a lovely thought," Ellethwen said, vaguely sarcastic. Then a small smile came to her face. "Hannon le," she said, to them both. "But as I said, you need not worry. All I need... is to sit down." She took a deep breath.

"That is wonderful news indeed," Aramel breathed, as Ryninial went to work on her hand. The shreds of the blonde's dress were wrapped around Aramel's hand, in order to help the blood clot faster. She hoped the stinging sensation would soon subside and that the fight would end, so that they may find comfort in Thranduil's halls. Aramel nodded towards Ryninial. "Tell me, what is your name? Where do you hail from?"

-----------

Aragorn was angered even further when the elf refused his offer so rudely. His elvish eyes were as dark as a demon, possessed by the fight happening around them. Aragorn's jaw clenched and he tightened his grip on Legolas's wrist, continuing to stare him in the eye. "You would make an extraordinary warrior, save for your foolishness. I admire your determination," he spoke softer, the hardness from his voice had vanished with the realization that getting in an arguement with Legolas would only make things worse between them.
