(I am here! Here at last! Forgive me if this is OOC… I just don’t want KAWEOTH to die or anything… ggaaahhhhh….. )
Cole was already out of hearing distance by the time Same called to him. The woods was dense and dark, and as he continued on he found himself cursing the bad luck which seemed to have settled on him in just one short day. Cole angrily swatted away the branch of a tree as if it was its fault. Also, he found himself without a candle or lantern out here in the wilderness. Good thinking it would be just his luck. Cole paused and looked through the foliage up at the sky, hoping the pale moonlight and the light of the fireflies would be enough to help him find his way into town without any problems. “Carmon?” he hoarsely whispered out into the night. How could she just disappear like that?
-------------------------------------------------------------
Carmon tried to keep her head level about this, but was afraid she was quickly failing. Until just today she would’ve never dreamed of being in a position like this. She would have only read about it in those adventure/romance novels she occasionally snuck home with her to read. She would’ve never seriously pictured herself in a situation like this though. “Um,” she whimpered. She didn’t seem to have a choice about the matter so she only nodded her head quickly saying, “Okay.” she didn’t want to travel with this person, the very thought of it terrified her. What would she do when they got to town? She wondered what this woman’s “unfinished business” was.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Will stood in the foyer, looking up the grand staircase while waiting for his girl's appearance. He tried hard to hide the beam which fought to spread over his face at the thought of Elizabeth. In only a few short days, he told himself, she would be his! He paced across the room a little ways and admired a painting on the wall. The luxurious lady stared back at him with a knowing look on her youthful face, it was almost as if she knew what he was feeling and she sympathized with his impatience.
-------------------------------------------------------------
When Charlotte finally reached him, she startled the unobservant soldier by saying, “lovely night.” He jumped and stared wide-eyed at her as if she were a ghost. What kind of men do they hire anymore? Lotty mentally rolled her eyes and laughed at his stupidity. I’ve seen more alert men drunk in Tortuga. However she pushed those thoughts aside and concentrated on her mission here and now. “Sorry, love,” she said, leaning closer to him, which resulted in his musket’s barrel in her face. “Hold on now,” she said, keeping her voice soft even after this. She put a finger to his lips. “Don’t make a sound. I don’t want to hurt ye.”
-------------------------------------------------------------
Emma sat on the cool, stone floor, leaning up against the wall. She turned her sky blue eyes to the small, barred window mounted in the wall and watched the stars in the sky. Everything was growing quiet as the night progressed and her thoughts took her away from the damp cell and to her old home and her father. His face seemed so far away, almost invisible now in her memory. All she could remember was his voice. A little smile crept across her face as his voice, saying her name, vividly played over and over in her mind. It had a soothing effect on her. Perhaps if he really was dead and if they really couldn't escape this miserable place she would be strung up and die... and go to him. Unless one of their friends came they were goners, right? It all depended on if those said friends weren’t dead already or looking out for their own skin.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Cutler jumped a little when he heard the Lieutenant behind him. He looked back and paused for a moment, thinking over a plan of action. He hadn’t had time to let everything sink in yet, let alone to think of what to do now that they were in the middle of the ocean in a devastated ship. He looked back over the deck of his ship, his precious ship. “Get the men taken care of,” he said, regaining some of his normal poise. He looked back at Groves. “Any who have moved on... throw to Davy Jones.” His focus was quickly coming back, much to his relief. He couldn’t withstand many more instances like that. And on top of it all, the Pierce woman was simply unnecessarily complicating things now. He scowled slightly.

[[Just a warning, I’m feeling rather rusty at this as well, since it’s not been touched for nearly 4 months… Plus I’ve got a right fine headache that won’t leave and the bright Word Document I’m typing this up on is not helping the matter. ]]
As quickly as she had kissed him, Sam pulled away, and Edward was left in a daze. “And Vari..?” The words not only echoed in the woods, but in his mind, which was still hazy from the day’s happenings. He could only wonder what time it was - where his friends were, and if they remained unscathed. Maybe… maybe they were all right, aside from sporting a few cuts and bruises. Or perhaps they were dead. Every single one of them. Maybe they would never come back. And maybe he’d be left alone in the woods, only to fall prey to some ravenous wild animal.
He blinked back sleep, wanting to stay awake long enough to know that Sam had made it back safely. But his eyelids became heavy and no longer could he wait before he drifted from consciousness.
-----------------------
Vari, lying on her back, stared up at the ceiling, her hand still in the pocket of her vest. She counted the coins over and over again, making sure none of them slipped out - by gravity or some other’s greedy hand. It was all that she had left now; so foolishly she’d wasted most of her money on drinks and card games, pleasurable company and a few nights of fun. If they ever made it to Tortuga as intended, she hoped to recover her earnings by whatever means necessary.
She soon found herself doing what Aurora had been when they first met her; hazel eyes scanning the ceiling and counting each stone, until she had come to 83 and her vision went blurry. She pulled herself onto her feet and paced in the cell, restless and more awake than ever. It was one of the longest nights she had ever experienced, maybe because in the back of her mind she knew that it was straight to the gallows for them. They had aided in the escape of their comrades, shot the Commodore, snuck into the house of one of the most prestigious men in Port Royal, and who knew what other laws they had broken.
“I can’t take it. Can’t take this anymore,” she said, hands gripping the bars of the cell door. There has to be a way out…Sparrow has a knack for it… but you’re not Jack… he’s much more clever. Much more skilled. “Gotta be some way… been in worse situations than this - got outta them… what’s a simple iron door? Nothin’ ye can’t handle, yeah?” Her verbal musings earned her some shhh’s from other prisoners who were trying to sleep.
Scrunching her face in despair, she turned back to Emma. “I don’t think we’ll be getting out of this one, mate.”
-----------------------
Jaiytiea stopped in her tracks, peering around the dark canopy of trees. Typical forest noises were heard; birds in trees, small rabbits in the tall grass… but a whisper was carried upon the wind, calling out for Carmon. Jaiyt glared at the blonde girl, a scowl forming upon her lips. One girl in her woods was trouble enough, but now… now there were more people coming, her companions, no doubt. “Who else is with you here?” she breathed fiercely, and slid her blade from its sheathe. If she was going to put up a good fight, she wanted to know who and what she was up against.
-----------------------
“Yes sir,” Groves replied, tilting his head respectfully towards Beckett. He wondered where Miss Pierce had gone, but decided to ask at a more appropriate time when the entire deck of the Endeavour was no longer in a chaotic mess. Turning on his heel, he began down the steps to the soldiers that had survived and passed on the message given to him.
-----------------------
Keyara had never cried like this. Tears spilling from her eyes like a child sent to bed with no dinner, left to cry alone in her room. Perhaps she was truly a foolish child who did not belong here. Perhaps she should rethink the whole thing; ask to disembark from the ship the next chance she had. This whole thing was crazy - why had she asked to come along in the first place? Maybe it would’ve been better if that slimy beast had eaten her… certainly it would do Beckett and his men a load of good to have her out of their hair once and for all.
The pain in her hand was persistent, throbbing as it lay next to her head on the pillow, a reminder of her lack of competence. It stung from the salty seawater and would no doubt be infected in a matter of hours. To top it all off, her sobbing and sulking had given her a headache, exactly what she needed at a time like this. She already had enough problems as it were, emotionally, physically and mentally.
Nearly an hour passed by until Keyara had cried herself to sleep; her dreams the only place she could escape this mess.

[ I just want to pose an idea before I post. We seem rather stuck here. As Vari and Emma can't really get out of prison and Sam-Ed-Cole are stuck in the woods. So I figured: why doesn't Norrington find Ed Sam in the woods. He takes them back to town for trial, at the same moment Beckett and Keyara arrive in Port Royal and Lotty can get Vari and the rest out of jail in a kind of massive break out?
In that way we have all the charries at the same point and a whole lot new possibilities to start the DMC plotlines..
What do ye think?]

[[Aye, that sounds great to me! The only issue is that, when Beckett arrives, Norrington has resigned his title as Commodore...
Quote: Gov. Swann: Commodore Norrington resigned his commission some months ago.
So unless we're just going to totally drop that... I'm really not sure how to go about it... It's a wonderful idea, but that small issue will bother me to no end. *twitches*

[ I say lets ignore that! For the sake of the RPG ]
As Sam was collecting firewood she caught herself humming a soft tune. The past few hours her emotions had been a mess, alternating from fear and anger to happiness. Somehow she felt things would be fine. She'd succeeded in finding the Aloe Vera plant, which she'd stuffed in her boot, and perhaps that gave her some hope on Ed's recovery. They would find the others and everything would turn back to normal.. and then she and Ed would..
Stop daydreaming and come off that pink cloud she told herself strictly. First things first, they had to find a safer hide-out.
She returned back to the open place and started to built a fire. Only for a short moment she wondered where Cole had been all this time, but then she realised he was probably looking for his sister and that the silly girl probably would have ran back to town. The flames cast shadows on the trees and as the sun had set the forest seemed to have quietened down. In the light of the fire Sam was able to uncover Ed's wound. Even in the dim light it seemed a nasty gash. Sam wanted to take the Aloe Vera to tend to Edward's wound but before she could reach her boot she froze as a sharp voice sneered: "If you value your miserable life, than don't move an eyelash."
-----
Yes, for the first time in days James Norrington felt triumph flow through his body. People would not snigger behind their hands that he, Commodore Norrington, again let slip the pirates through his fingers. No, after the first two pirates were locked away the forest had almost called for him. His men might think that these woods were cursed, but he knew better. Pirates lived in them or found here a safe hide-out. But not any longer...
"It was most kind of you to start that fire" he smiled satisfied at the redhead while pointing a gun at her. He whistled shortly and his horse appeared from the shadows. With his free hand he grabbed a pair of iron shackles from his sadlebag which he threw before Sam's feet. "Throw down your weapons before my feet and shackly your friend's arms" he commanded. "One wrong move and you and your pirate friend will die."
