"I hate you" Abby sneered back at him, trying to move out from under his weight as he laughed in her face.

Rogue looked at the two siblings. "Guys, we gotta find a way to get that door open. Trapped in here isn't doing any of us any good at all." she looked all around. "If you two can find a way to disable it, I can take out the furball. You guys think you can do it?"

Wolverine, Shadowcat and Colossus all buckled up too.
"Hit it 'Ro" Logan stated.

"Alright, hang on to your seats. This could get bumpy" Storm warned everyone. Then began punching in a code into the Jet's computer and then flicked up a series of switches. The engines sputtered and Storm looked concerned. Trying the sequence again the Jet engines roared into life, pushing people back into there seats as it picked up speed.

Gambit stared down at Kira, knowing she was only telling a half truth.

Kira mustered all of the strength that she could, but this man had some power over yanking the truth out of her. "Stop staring at me. You're not my father," Kira spat at Gambit, taking a step back to create the illusion of more personal space. Gambit's gaze didn't waver, but his eyes only followed Kira as she took a few steps back. "I heard noises from the outside. Gheesh. Leave me alone. This is why I choose people who don't care. I won't get smacked around by a motherly figure." Kira crossed her arms, contemplating over whether he liked the idea that someone cared what happened to her. This would be the first in a long time.

"Gambit hopes he doesn't look that much like a girl," he shot a half-witted smile at Kira and turned to look at the door, "Noises, Che... Kira say?" He thought over all of the reasons Kira would hear noises from the door, and he came to some concluding evidence: someone must be in there. "Come on," Gambit instructed Kira, holding a card up in his right hand to be prepared in case she tried to make a run for it.

"I had you mistaken," Kira muttered to Gambit, following behind him to the control center of the Danger Room, "you are much more like my father."

Gambit looked over at Kira, "Gambit glad to hear that he don't look like a girl."

"I hate my father."

"Need to talk about it, Kira?" Gambit looked at her with a hint of compassion and then scanned the panel to control the Danger Room. Apparently, someone did operate in, but the whole room was currently stalled in a malfunction. He quickly looked over at Kira, making sure she was still there and wanted to see if she had anything she would like to say. Seeing the girl had no intention on spilling her past anytime soon, Gambit leaned forward and turned on the microphone to speak into the Danger Room. "Not sure who in there," He spoke, almost forgetting an introduction, "I am Gambit, and the room look like it malfunctioned. I gonna reset it. Hang on tight." Gambit switched off his side of the microphone, and reached over, rebooting the danger room.

Minna blinked as the Jet picked up speed. She was not concerned at all as she leaned back into her seat. Minna gave a sigh, thinking, 'I've been faster. Way Faster.'

Erchirion shrugged, "Sure. No problem." He blinked slowly as Gambit's voice echoed through the Danger Room. Charlie rubbed his ears as he looked around cautiously, "Will it possibly back fire?" Rogue looked shocked, "Possibly."

Rogue gave it some thought and decided it was the only option.
"Help him open the door guys" she looked over at Abby and Sabretooth. "I'll do what I can to help Abby" she looked back over at the door for a second. It had been a while since she'd seen him last. She shook her head and made her way over towards Abby.

"What're you waiting for?" Abby asked, breathing heavily at the weight bearing down on her. "Just do it" she sneered up at her father. She tried to move from under him again, but she'd not built up enough energy to make any difference.

Sabretooth swung his head backwards as he laughed at her again.
"Because that would be too easy and not a whole lotta fun, frail" he leered down at her, grinning sadistically "There's plenty'a time for that."

"Oh I don't think so furball" Rogues voice came out of nowhere and she grabbed Sabretooth's head with her ungloved hands. The energy from him began to drain, but his healing factor countered it. He roared in pain as Rogue refused to let go.
"I won't let you hurt her anymore"

Sabretooth began swiping at her wildly. His long razor sharp claws slicing at her arms. Rogue let go, the fury and rage of Sabretooth's thoughts beginning to flood her unprepared mind. She clutched at her head and let out a blood curdling scream. Sabretooth stood up and pulled his arm back to slice her with his claws but the energy she drained was too much and he collapsed.

Gambit had never been inside when someone had to reboot the danger room, but he had to do it to Cyclops once. Cyclops came out angry, but Gambit determined it was more from Gambit not paying attention then the process of rebuttal.

Gambit had pressed the button to reboot and sat back for a moment or two, waiting for the light to turn on so the danger room has restarted itself. Once it was on, Gambit quickly turned the entire room off and stood up out of the chair. "Come 'n," he instructed Kira, presuming she would just follow as he walked up to the door to the danger room and reached up to open it.

(I don't remember how the room is opened. So, correct me if I am wrong.)

Erchirion and Charlie aimed for the door. Charlie quickly sent his words through the ground for Gambit to hear, "I advise you stay back Gambit, Me and my brother are going to blast the door open." Frowning, they aimed for the door and blasted it open with a mix of Fire and Earth.

Gambit took heed of the boy's advise. When a mutant told you to do something, it was smart for you to follow through with what he said. Stepping back in line with Kira, who was now perched, leaning back against the wall, and gently listening to Kira's question. "What's going on?" She asked, with solely curiosity looming in her voice. "We are getting people out of the danger room," Gambit answered, "We will see the next step once they are out."

Erchirion and Charlie gave a relieved sigh as the door slammed to the ground with the thud.



"All done Rogue!"


The girl stumbled up to them, woozy, Charlie let her lean on him. "Where's Abby?" he asked curiously. Rogue shook her head, "Back there. We should wait for her to catch up before putting the door back up."

Abby gained enough strength to get onto her feet, "I'm staying here, with him" she spat behind gritted teeth, not even looking over at her new friends. "I'm not done with him yet"

"Abby please" Rogue called over weakly, "just leave him be. We can sort this out when the team comes back from Muir"

Gambit stood at the opening of the door and looked across the variety of mutants, picking out the sides of each of them in his head. Pulling out a card, Gambit kept a close watch on Vertigo and Scrambler in his peripheral vision while looking straight at Abby and Sabretooth. "Chere," Gambit called out to Abby, flashing the card at her, "I can help if you want."

John gripped the armrest tightly as his head was pushed against the headrest. His desire to smoke grew larger and larger by the minute. He felt his heart pump furiously and tried to calm it. At first his heart resisted the influence, but gradually it was like a cat in the afternoon sun. The result of it all was a slight high in John's head.

Meanwhile, Emma was desperately trying to keep the plane under control. Warning sirens accompanied by ruby and emerald flashes surrounded her in a complete chaos. "I'm not quite sure how long we can keep this together," she mused out loud. Then the cool female electronic voice, barely audible over the cacophony, declared, "We have arrived at Muir Island."

"Why can't you die, old man?" Riptide cried in frustration, throwing the umpteenth bone spike at the master of magnetism.

"Age is only a homo sapien weakness," he responded coldly as the metal spheres divided once more, forming chains that snaked towards the Marauder. At the same time, the pipes underneth them began to burst and crack, unleashing a torrent of water that stopped Riptide's momentum. A minute later, the chain weaved its way around his arms and legs and latched itself against the wall opposite of the restrained Harpoon. Smirking in a gloating fashion, he looked up to see a most familiar jet fly overhead.

Abby looked over to the trenchcoat clad man standing in the doorway. His pupils were blazing red and had a smirk that could melt the coldest of hearts. The card in his hand glowed flourescent pink. She watched as he eyed her father with intent. She looked down at her father and back to the mutant called Gambit.
"No" she sighed, "I'm done here....for now" the pause was intense.

Just as Abby spoke a bright light enveloped the whole room. She covered her eyes instinctively to shade from the glare. When she opened them, she was no longer in the Institute. None of them were.

A low sly laugh vibrated around the darkened room.
"Well well what do we have here" came the voice, every word oozing with smugness.

"Oh my Lord", Rogue exclaimed "Sinister?"

"Find a safe place to land this bird" Logan spoke over the chaos, "Don't matter where, just so long as it's terra firma"

Storm nodded and grimaced as she fought with the controls. "There's a spot. Get ready, this will not be pleasant" she said and mentally prepared herself for the heavy landing.

The Jet came down with a hefty bump, the wheels digging deeply into the grass. The engines came to a slow halt, smoke billowing out the back.
Storm noticed the emergency notice on her console and began to focus on the outside of the jet. Her eyes turned milky white and a heavy rain shower and strong wind descended upon the jet, eventually putting out the small fire that had started on the outer engine.
"Now that's dealt with. Time to break into our teams and head over to Muir. We're not too far from the building. Everyone be on there guard, we have no idea what we're up against."

Erchirion looked confused. Charlie blinked slowly before murmuring to Rogue, "Sinister? Who's that?"
"Whoever he is, he's bad..." his brother murmured.

Minna blinked as the Jet dropped and landed with a bump. Watching in awe as Storm put out the fire on their engines. She listened as Storm gave instructions and relaxed as she undid her seatbelt, letting the air bring her all its messages.
