A Vampire RP with a difference.

Plot: A few years ago a company in Japan created a synthetic blood that inspired Vampires from all over the world to "come out of the coffin" and begin to mingle with the human population. Now a booming business Tru Blood has replaced most Vampires need to feed on human victims. Some embrace this new freedom and fight for equal rights for there kind. Others rebel against it and continue to feed and make life difficult for the "mainstreamers".

Setting: Los Angeles, California. (But characters can be from anywhere, especially the Vampires).

Rules & Other Stuff:

-No God Modding ect
-Vampires should be no older than 1000 years old...the older the -Vampire. The higher up in the hierarchy they are.
-Humans can be pro or anti Vampire equality. If you make a human character please state there stance.
-Other supernaturals like shapeshifters or witches are may be allowed.
-No characters from the books/tv show are in this story. Older Vampires like Eric and Pam can be mentioned in passing by older Vampires.
-Knowledge of the books/show not necessary.
-Have lotsa fun.

Added Facts about the True Blood Vampires:

- Silver can and will hurt them.
- They can be killed via stake through the heart or decapitation.
- They are immune to holy water*
- They are also immune to garlic*
- They will burn and die if they are in the sun
- Fresh blood heals wounds quicker*
- You can see there reflection in mirrors and they will show up in photographs.*

Anything marked with an * indicates Humans have little or no knowledge of this fact.

Brief History: A relatively young Vampire, Dawn was fooled into believing this was the life she had sought for so long. Upon the realisation of what her new life would contain. She rebelled against her maker and tried to find her own way of life. Only feeding on criminals and animals, the announcement of the synthetic blood was a revelation for Dawn and slowly more of her kind came out 'of the coffin' and announced themselves. Embracing this new way of life, Dawn found herself employment at an L.A Nightclub, Synn City as a barmaid.

@Pandora. The stances basically are if you're human are you for Vampire equality and accept them or anti-vampire. For a Vampire it would mean either embracing or at least accepting becoming mainstream and relying on the Tru Blood synthetic or going against the Vampire ruling and feeding on humans regardless.

The heavy throb of the music could be heard outside, albeit muffled and vague. The street was awash with people from all walks of life. Man, woman and everything in between. The traffic seemingly never ending, splashing up the remnants of a brief rain shower onto the sidewalk. A woman amidst the human chaos, hurries up along the way. Hoping another rain cloud won't burst open before she arrives at her destination. She checked her watch and swore under her breath, "Fifteen minutes!" she hurried her pace until she looked up and noticed the glaring neon sign swinging high into the night.
Synn City
A nightclub in the heart of Los Angeles that ever since the Great Revelation a little under 2 years ago began allowing new patrons into the establishment. Vampire patrons.

Arriving at a large arched doorway, the woman punched comm button and waited.

"Yer late Dawn" came the sharp voice of Jake, the owner of Synn City and Dawn's new boss.

"I'm so sorry, my car broke down. I've been walking it, please let me in" she said apologetically.

The door clicked as an answer. Pushing the red door open she walked into staff entrance to the Club. Pulling off her zipper sweatshirt to reveal a black t-shirt with the fancy lettering of the Synn City on the left breast pocket. Walking through she was stopped by a tall man with short black hair. She cringed and apologised again.
"Jake, I'm so so sorry." she bit down gently on her bottom lip and hoped he would be sympathetic.

"Get to work Dawn, Molly's waiting on some help out there"

Dawn smiled in gratitude for her boss' leniency, "Thank you. You're a jewel." and she jogged round to the bar front. "Sorry I'm late Molly'" she put an arm round the small scarlet haired girl and turned to face the oncoming torment of Synn customers.

"Just where do you think you are going at this time of night?" The voice was a smooth drawl coming from the living area and Jocelyn knew that Derrick had just sat down to have a pleasant evening at home. Just because he liked to keep hidden and prowl the night for his victims didn't mean that Joccie was like that. In fact she was the complete opposite of Derrick but she couldn't do much about that...

"Out" Jocelyn said simply as she pulled on a black leather jacket over her crimson red top, pulling her lengthy dark hair in a haphazard bun, strands of hair falling about her shoulders.

"I dare say you aren't. Now come be a good dear and get me a drink..." His voice was teasing and she knew just what type of drink Derrick wanted. Human blood...

She hissed and wanted nothing more to strangle Derrick for his comment but instead said nothing and simply made her way out of the grand home towards Synn City.

Jocelyn had long since renounced her ways of killing and drinking from the necks of humans, but Derrick hadn't and wouldn't ever change.

"What kept you?" the red head said loudly over the loud, heavy music being blasted out the PA system.

Dawn turned her head to one side, "My car broke down, so I had to walk." she frowned at the memory of her car engine dying on her.

"What can't you like, super speed here or somethin?" Molly smirked, she genuinely liked Dawn, but was aways so curious and quizzical about Vampire related issues.

"Yah, I could." Dawn replied, turning to speak into her ear. "But I'm mainstreaming now Mol', I need to blend in. Not stand out." she turned to see a few of Synn's patrons at the counter waiting to be served.
"Hey there, sorry. What can I get you?" she put on her best barmaid smile as she waited on there choice of beverage.

"Can I have a Bud and a Blood please?" the long haired man asked.

"Human" thought Dawn instantly, even if she wasn't a Vampire it was glaringly obvious this was no Vampire.

"Sure thing." she replied, keeping the smile intact. "What's the preference?" she asked. The man looked stumped. "Your Blood preference, well whoever this is for I mean. What type?" she continued trying to get through to him.

"Oh um" he stammered, "I'm not sure. I dunno what she likes. What would you recommend?" he blushed, obviously new to the Vampire/Human relations thing.

"Go with O. She'll be impressed." Dawn replied with a wink and a comforting smile.

The young man nodded in agreement and Dawn went to get the two beverages. Placing the bottle of Tru Blood into the microwave and began to heat it. "Just a minute, gotta heat them up."

"You know Dawn, sometimes you do scare me." Molly said giggling over her shoulder as she was giving a customer change.

Felix walked into Synn City, hesitant, careful. He didn't know any other vampires, but he was quite sure that he would meet some here.

Frowning, he went up to the counter, looking around, curious, yet fearful at the same time.

Dawn threw Molly a sidelong glance and smirked. "oh girl please" she laughed and the bing signified the readiness of the bottle of Tru Blood. She took it out and felt the warmth in her hands. "Perfect" she said softly to herself and turned back round to give the man his drinks. "There y'go" and took his money and opened the till and pulled out his change and handed it over.

"Naw, you keep it. You earned it" he smiled coyly.

"Oh....okay." Dawn replied, surprised at his kindness. "Thank you. Hope you have a good night."

The young man waved as best he could with his handful of drinks and walked over to a table where he sat with a rather busty blond Vampire. Looking back to the waiting customers another young looking man stood there nervously. Young looking, as Dawn instantly knew he wasn't a human male.
"Hey, can I help you?" she asked him, a bemused smile on her face.
