^ So fast! o.O WOW!
I still recommend you to read the manga as well. :P (I'm such manga-advertiser lol :P)

The Black Butler - ep 10-15. It's really nice anime, but I still prefer the manga. :P

I'd love to, but I find it really hard to read Manga online and I just can't afford to buy any.

Ugh, I wish I had more time to check into y'alls recommendations. I did actually try Death Note... but it really wasn't my thing. Not enough humor... or really my kind of humor. Maybe I didn't get far enough into it though.

"Silent Noise" - Trinity Blood

If I was a supervillain, I'd so want an organ like that...

-gaspeth- You're the first person I've ever known to say they didn't really like Death Note. Most people I know have it in there Top 5 of all time XD

I don't mind humour in my anime at all. I just prefer the more drama/horror/psychological stuff. I'd maybe say take Monster off the list of things you want to watch, as it's very much in the vein of Death Note. If you like quirky, I say Trigun definetly. Vash is full of the lulz.

I agree with FM, Death Note did start off kinda slow. :P It didn't really get going until around Vol. 5 (in the manga - I've only seen the first few episodes of the anime, so I can't give you a number there), but there is a marked difference after that. It's certainly never a comedy, but there is more humor - eventually. :P

I'm not familiar with any of the other anime on Raivynn's list, though, so I can't tell you anything about those (except for Bleach, but I'm pretty sure you can find lots of better reviews out there than I can write).

I have one to add, though - Full Metal Alchemist. Hands-down, my favorite anime. (The movie's not bad either (kinda sad, though), and the manga's even better ^^) It's even got a great dub! xD No, seriously, it's really good. The only dub I actually enjoy listening to, not just that I can stand listening to.

There's also a new series that's just started (by 'just', I mean episode 3 comes out tomorrow) that's supposed to follow the manga more closely. Understatement of the year to say that I'm completely psyched. :-D (The first series followed the manga for a while, but split off to do it's own ending around the time Greed was introduced)

Anyway, recently watched anime -
Samurai X - Trust & Betrayal (:'()
Full Metal Alchemist The Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa (I'd forgotten exactly how adorable Al can be. And Wrath! Poor little guy. I'd never cared for him too much one way or the other before, but I loved him so much here.)
FMA: Brotherhood episodes 1-2 (Hughes! *joy* :jump:)

And a question for Raivynn - who's that in your top banner? Looks kinda familiar...

Tis Gackt.

You don't know of Cowboy Bebop?? *gaspeth*

Like Naruto, I tried FMA and I didn't take to it to well at all.

*cough*

I've not watched any new anime since my last encounters with Higurashi. I need to get finishing it.

And...The Black Butler. <3 Though I'm gonna give up the anime. Me likes the manga better.

I'm looking forward to the Espada/Captain fights, definitely. :D And Hisagi...

I'm dying for the anime to reach the point where the manga is now, though. O_O It's going to be so awesome.....^_^

Oh, it is Gackt? I thought maybe, but got thrown off since it says 'Satoru' on it. >.<

No, I have heard of Cowboy Bebop, just haven't seen any of it. :P

*gasp* You didn't like FMA? Hmph, maybe you simply didn't watch enough. ;) It starts off a lot lighter/sillier than it ends up, I'll say that much. As someone who also doesn't care much for Naruto, I have to say that I can't understand your comparing the two at all. *shrug*

'Kay, I'll stop pestering/spamming the thread now. :P

Recently seen:

FMA: Brotherhood ep. 3
FFVII: Advent Children (that counts as anime, right?)

Argh, I really should start watching Bleach again. And Death Note. And Fruits Basket (though I kinda don't want to, seeing how depressing the manga's getting... yeesh). I'm really good at starting anime, and then getting lazy and never finishing them. Can you tell? :duh:

XD I've used his face for an RP character :P

You simply MUST watch Bebop. Seriously.

I'm not comparing them as series, only in my reactions to them. I just found them a bit too annoying for me to tolerate.

I'm the same with anime, Vampire Knight:Guilty was the first series I finished in a long time. Almost finished Higurash no Naku Koro ni, but that took me months as it's just such a mindboggler lol
...and on that note I still haven't watched any new episodes lol

**editty*

Watched the final 4 episodes of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni..which led me to seek out the live action.
Also watched the first 2 episodes of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai

..it...it all makes sense now...I think

Got it. :P

I'll add it to my list. xD From what I've read, it sounds kinda like Firefly. Is that correct?

Sorry, shoulda read that more closely. *sigh* Ah, well. Still say you're missing out. :P

My sister just recently got me into the Vampire Knight manga - is the anime worth watching too?

And this 'Higurashi no Naku Koro ni' sounds interesting... I'll have to check it out.

It's Firefly-ish. In that there Space Cowboys/Bounty Hunters/Mercenaries. But there's no characters to compare. Each character from either series is very unique. I reckon Joss must have seen Bebop though :P

Vampire Knight and Guilty are both really fun drama llama angsty types. I didn't think I'd enjoy it to be honest, but I found myself really addicted to it quite quickly. Elenthari would be better to talk about the Manga-Anime transition as I've not read the Manga.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is just mindbogglingly confusing, but so confusing you have to watch to the end to find out *beep* is going on XD It also has one of the cutest anime characters ever in it.

though if you're not fond of psychological horror, I'd say to avoid. The opening sequence alone is pretty graphic.

Just saw Bleach, ep. 216. Yesss, the battles between Barragan's fractions and Ikkaku, Yumichika, Kira and Hisagi have begun! *squee*
Yumichika vs. Coolhorn =

^ Yups, the manga is getting more and more interesting with each chapter. WHy do I have the feeling that the Vaizards will appear very soon? :P

If you ask me- you should definitely watch it. :P
The first season (so that the first 13 episodes) were just like in the manga. The second season was teh awesome as well, though it had an alternative ending- I mean, at the moment the manga is still ongoing, so the last few episodes from the 2nd season don't represent the latest events in the manga.
But honestly, I have to admit, "Vampire Knight" is one of the best shoujo stories ever- my personal number one. :) I jope you'll enjoy reading and watching it. :D

Episode 216 of Bleach. Hisagi is definitely the coolest Lieutenant besides Renji. :D

And I watched Episodes 1-3 of Vampire Knight. It's cool, so far...
