This describes two different things in my life... the way I lived for nearly three years, and the way I had to face a lot of it all over again a year and a half later. It's basically about feeling indescribably frail, fragile, and broken, while a raging fire of hate and fear and pain continues burning on and on in your heart and your head. It's about wanting someone to save you, but feeling no one ever can or will.

I am missing someone. Very much. I always miss him, like there's a queer little ache in the corner of my heart that refuses to go away. I haven't seen him in three months now. When I saw him then, it had been a year and a half.
Strange how no matter how long you miss someone, the feeling doesn't go away. So I'll curl up in a corner, remember what an amazing friend he is, and wait for the day that I'll see him again.
