This movie is definately going to be epic. Is anyone gonna dress up and go see the midnight showing? (I am...)
I hope that they keep true to the books. I'm a stickler for that sort of thing....

Was I the only who noticed that they used some music from the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory's score in the trailer?

My only complaint about this so far is how Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dee look. I also hate Matt Lucas and I can't understand why the heck he's in it. They really look awful, and I don't think watching it is going to change my opinion.
Just hope they're not in it much.

I agree. They look absurd. Like giant toddlers with egg-heads and a Crabbe and Goyle expressions.
Odd combination me thinks

I am ridiculously excited for this movie, to the point where I re-read the book. I honestly think that a darker Tim Burton-esque movie will suit it better than Disney did when they took a lighter route. The story really is dark and twisted and I think that between Burton and the great cast, it will turn out really well.
As for the trailer, though I'm not particularly complaining, it seemed to focus more on the Mad Hatter than anything else. Johnny Depp has always played main roles in Tim Burton's movies and I don't know if it will be any different in this one, though he may just be in a narrator-type role, since the book IS third-person and there's a few things that, if they include them, would be better with a voice-over from Mr. Hatter.

I love Tim Burton, his movies are always so amazing. I love the darkness in them
I know Alice in Wonderland will rock the world. With that cast, Tim Burton & Danny Elfman for music...it can't go wrong
But if I remember correct it wont be the typical Alice in Wonderland. It will be her 2nd visit there only she wont remember her first, so she will be like 16 years old.
I read it in Empire magazine o.0

I'm excited for this movie. Tim Burton typically puts out really good movies. I like the fact that he made Alice in Wonderland dark like how it was originally supposed to be.
The cast list is amazing too. So many talented people. Alan Rickman as the Caterpillar. *uncontrollable laughter* I don't know why the thought of that amuses me so much. Alan Rickman is an amazing actor, if he's in a movie I'll watch it.

I'm thinking a mixture of old and new Alice. Traditional Dress, but with darker accents, those awesome fingerless gloves, and a curly blond wig. It'll be amazing.

One problem I might have with this is it becomes another Johnny Depp cart. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy, but he gets into the spotlight a wee bit much? And I actually much more interested in Alice more than anything. And the advertising weighs heavily on Johnny Depp. Understandable, of course, but just because I understand it doesn't mean I agree or like it. For god's sake, it's Alice in Wonderland, after all. If you want to advertise someone, advertise her. Or the Cheshire Cat.
And I do wish they actually did American McGee's Alice but that's a different story.
*looks at the angry mob outside*....kuso.

I saw a trailer for that a while back and I must say it looks rather interesting to see.
But ofcourse, I'll wait til' that one comes out on dvd to see this one here I'm much more interested in seeing the new pirates film coming out.

This trailer is the newest I've seen (although it looks like Disney released it around Christmas).
It was great to see just a little more of the plot but why does it always have to be "human child to the rescue when fairytale land is in peril"? *coughNarniacough*
I never saw the Red Queen (and Helena Bonham-Carter plays the Queen???) as particularly evil - just eccentric in her own Wonderland-way, like practically all the other characters who inhabit the land. But it's difficult to tell from such a short trailer.
Tim Burton, IMDB wrote: Despite the fact that there have been many other Alice in Wonderland films, Tim Burton have said that he never felt a emotional connection to it and always thought it was a series of some girl wondering around from one crazy character to another. So this is an attempt to give this a framework, an emotional grounding, which he felt he never really had seen in any version before. Tim said that was the challenge for him - to make Alice feel like a story as opposed to a series of events.
This is exactly what I've felt too when reading Alice and watching other movies versions, however, I didn't really see it as a problem. Like I said, it's gonna be very interesting to see the result.
Opinions?
And the movie is in 3D, why? I think I might be with JF on this one... umm why? Just because they can?
But don't me wrong, I'm still über excited about the movie, I've watched the trailer already four times today!!! SQUUUUEEEEEEE!!

At first the movie looked interesting but lately, i've been really on the fence about going to see it. I don't know. It's just not appealing to me anymore for some reason.
But I'll admit something.
Alice looks PWNSOME in that armor.

I heard it's not going to be released in the cinemas? That there is a boycot of some sorts because Disney will bring the movie out on dvd quite soon after it leaves the cinema? Did anyone hear that?
