Hallowfest was the best thing that happened to me on AU last year, and I'm so excited for this year! It's great to see you back, Kit. If I can help with anything, just let me know!

Simple poll, I remember that we thought the two weeks last was a bit of a lag at times in between murders. Is 2-3 days of lull too much? The first year we did one week which seemed a bit fast for a lot of people but the 2 weeks seems a little slow, so should we compromise and make it 1.5 weeks this year or keep it at 2 weeks? Opinions? Views? We have to consider forum activity and how many people will participate this year.

I like the idea of having it at two weeks, because there's a good possibility I'll be busy one of the weeks and I DO want to be able to participate, but we'd have to figure out how to make the days between murders not drag on so much.
When are we putting up sign-up stuff?

Let's decide on duration first. I need more input so that we can put a set date. The Hallowfest always ends on Halloween though, so, count on that.

Like I said, not sure how much I'll be around. My birthday is the 16th and then my sister's is Halloween[though we might be celebrating the weekend in between]. October is busy busy =P

Even though there was a bit of a 'lag' in between murders last year, it still went fairly fast, and I think I'd be hopelessly lost if it was shortened back down to one week. Personally I like one and a half weeks best.

Personally, the two weeks was awesome for me.
And from what I can remember the two weeks went down pretty well with almost everybody.
Although there may be 2-3 days between murders, it gave people a chance to catch up with one another and roleplay and discuss clues etc, before the next big murder, and people didn't pop in, in the middle of a big debate all the time.
And it also worked that I could give people summaries about what had gone on, so if people felt daunted by the x amount of posts that had been made since they were last on, chances are it was mostly chit chat, so they could be kept up to date and everything.
I think to be honest, the Hallowfest is one of the few AU events that no matter who hasn't been on AU recently, or who hasn't much time to be here, they ALWAYS try to get in on as much of the action as they can. Because it is such an awesome and fun event and my duckies will always follow you because of your awesomeness Kit.

Two weeks was good for me. One week was a little too fast and not everyone was able to have a chance to take part, those who have busy lives.

That about summed up what I was going to say lol

Okay, we'll keep the event dates the same from last year then. Which was... what? October 17 - October - 31st?
Do you guys want to plan for extra-roleplaying activities like the contests we did last year?

I liked the extra things - they were fun to pass the time. Plus the bonus of not being one of the people who could be chosen was awesome.
Those are great Ammy!

Ooh, those are amazing, Ali. Is it too early to put them in our sigs? XD
I also liked the extra stuff. *nodnod* It was something fun to do in between murders, but not vital enough so that people who couldn't get on had to worry about missing stuff.

Let's think up some extra ideas. Do you guys want to have another writing challenge? What about graphics? JF headed all the graphics contests last year, so you might want to consult her. I can do another writing contest if you guys want.
Shall we have a theme for this Hallowfest? Last year, the contests revolved around pumpkins.

The de-retouching thing for the Cookoff was a bit harder than I expected it to be, though. That was the first time I did it and I refuse to show people the results. =P I don't know, though, it could be fun to do like zombies or something that way.
I definitely want in on the pumpkin carving contest this year, since I missed it last year.
