PD frowned, wanting to say something in response to that but knowing better. 'Just let it drop' she kept telling herself. Oh, but there were a million things that tempted her lips. Like 'this is your party why do you let your guests die every year?' and 'well, we probably will with you as our hostess, leaving this murderer on the loose.' but she kept her mouth shut and kept the peace.

Susy walked over to where Kit and Horseman stood and placed her hand in the circle. This closet was a rather confined space. It was probably wiser to keep everyone happy.

The house seemed eerily silent when Maeve came down from her room. She listened intently for any sounds as she walked cautiously down the staircase and suddenly came to a stop. Leaning over the railing she caught faint whispers and murmurs coming from somewhere down below. Picking up her skirts she bounded down the rest of the stairs and skidded to a halt in front of the bare wood paneling of the staircase. The whispering stopped for a moment, and Maeve knocked quietly.
"Hello?" she called, "Anyone there? Black widows? Unicorns? Cherubs?" She gave an exasperated sigh. "Ya know, I'm not very good at guessing passwords and such."
