Kit was getting nearly red in the face with impatience. "It is not <i>mine</i>, therefore it is not of my free will to simply show it's contents!" At this, she had the indignation to get up from the table and leave to the kitchens.

Mist sighed and leaned back in her chair, shaking her head at Kit. She dared not say anything further, though she quite desired to.
"Here, have some pancakes," she said to the newcomers, pushing over Nurr's untouched plate.

[Hmm, you guys post lots... so what I got from skimming ... The Horseman's a gentleman and not our killer *disappointed*, Kit is a gerbil.... like ... sized person.... and people seem to be peer pressuring poor Eä into a household Cinderella. Did I miss anything? Oh, yeah... something about a letter.. package... mail thing?]
Eä appeared in the room. She had changed into her usual black tulle shirt, that was layered and swirly and pretty(!), and a plain corsage top (nah, of course it wasn't plain... it had an intricate, yet simple pattern of tiny precious stones very similar to the starspray on a night sky! )
Smiling brightly she took a few twirling steps.
"Hello darlings, are you enjoying breakfast? On one of my walks in the yard I came upon a flock of garden birds and I tell you they were unstoppable when I said I was going to find breakfast. They simply insisted on cooking for me."
She shrugged apologetically.
"And then the mice in the kitchen... I seriously don't know what's with them, but they insisted on sewing something... so.."
Eä reached behind her back and presented something big and fluffy and brown with sesame seeds.
"...they made this!"
"Apparently, it's a costume for next year.... It's a hamburger! And they said it was for Kit_________________ >>Be the change you wish to see in the world<<

"Hello," Susy said in way of greeting when Ea walked in. She raised a quizzical brow as Ea told of her morning adventures. Upon seeing the costume, Susy burst into laughter. "I'm sure Kit will love it! Perhaps that will put her in a better mood."

Fragile had just finished her cup of tea after watching a frustrated Kit storm out when Eä entered with the costume. She laughed quietly to herself, hoping that Kit would take it as being all in good fun.
Setting down the teacup, she decided to head upstairs to find a costume for that night, since Kit had graciously unlocked the chest for them.
When she opened the chest, she immediately saw a pile of Hobbit costumes. No, that would hardly do... I'll leave those to Kit. She dug through the costumes, enjoying the feeling of the smooth fabric against her arms. Eventually she found what she was looking for, and carefully pulled it free. Fragile held Galadriel's dress, her expression almost reverent. The floating white fabric glittered with intricate beadwork, bright even in the dim attic. "Perfect," Fragile whispered.
[It has just occurred to me that if Kit is 4'10'', I am more than a whole foot taller than her. That's a little scary.]

Seeing Fragile leave reminded Susy of the costume party that evening. She got up and went with Fragile up to the attic. "That's a good choice," she said seeing Fragile holding Galadriel's dress.
Susy began looking through the chest for a costume for herself. She let out a small "aha" when she finally found what she was looking for. Out of the chest she pulled Eowyn's blue dress that she had worn in the beginning of ROTK at the celebration for the victorious dead. Susy held it up to herself and looked into the mirror. She couldn't wait to try it on.

Eä arranged the huge costume on the tableso that it welcomed any newcomers, the grinning image perfectly portraying a beef squeezed in between two buns.
Then she skipped towards the infamous attic to pick out another costume.
"Aww... Arwen's Red dress!!"
Eä squeeled and held it up in front of herself.
"And Eowyn's White dress!! Sooo pretty."
She frowned.
" But there is no way I could keep it white and shiny for more then a second... why do you think I wear black all the time..."
She smiled, but her eyes caught sight of her favorite colour, that is actually remarkable because it's technically the lack of colour.
"Awww a Nazgûl dress!!"
Eä stood at a loss... torn between too much prettiness.

Evening drifted upwards to the attic, having spent a lot of time now in her own company, questioning her death. That had been a little tiresome. Gazing around at all the costumes, longing shone in her eyes. "Ooh, how beautiful!" she exclaimed. She draped Gandalf's cloak around her ghostly shoulders. "Hmmm... does this suit me?"

Fragile smiled at Susy. "Thank you." She gently held the dress close and twirled, imagining what it would look like once she actually put it on.
When she heard Eä's dilemma, she looked up. "I agree with Susy. I think Arwen's red dress would be stunning on you."

Kit bounded through the door to the spiral staircase that led to the attic and came in time to see Evening try on a Gandalf costume. "It's superb, Evening." She said and knelt in front of the crate to dig out a Hobbit costume.

Evening beamed at Kitoky and donned Gandalf's hat, finding his staff as well. "I never thought I'd suit being a wizard," she pondered. "Thank you!" Twirling around, she found a beard and looped it over her ears to fit it over her chin.
"Yes! Dress up as a hobbit! Maybe Frodo, and then I can say that line, you know - 'hobbits really are amazing creatures'."

Kit pulled off her shoes and slipped on the hairy hobbit feet, although she wasn't quite sure if female hobbits had hairy feet, but she'd don them anyways. "Oughtn't you be Gandalf the White, Evening," Kit said offhandedly. "Seeing as though you've died and such?"
Next, Kit pulled out a dress too small to be for a regular sized person. "I heard Nurrantiel actually wanted to be Frodo, Sam, Pippin, & Merry, so I shall just leave those to her. I will just go as a familiar currently unnamed female Hobbit."
