"However, many of the film adaptations provide some very good eye candy," Kit pointed out as she thought of the many Darcys and Colonel Brandon and Mr. Knightley.

"Hmm..." Deria sighed and grinned. "We're off topic again. And the hours are ticking down...but I suspect we're all slightly reluctant to talk. Does anyone have an idea?"

"Hm, that is extremely true," PD agreed with Kit. "Awww," she sighed as Deria brought them to reality again. "It's so much lovelier talking about the male cast members in the Jane Austen movies..."

"Yes it is. Deliciously dark Mr. Darcy......" Susy spaced out for a couple seconds with a smirk on her face. "Oh, um...were we talking about the killer?"

"It's true," said Deria and grinned. "Actually my favorite fictional male personage is, well, tell you the truth I guess it doesn't count, because he's not a real person...not even acted, I mean." She grinned sheepishly. "There are some other ones as well, though. Speaking of Pride and Prejudice have you guys seen the 6-hour one?" Realizing she was letting herself get away from the subject as well, she quickly stopped. "Er, yeah...yes, the killer. And all those disparate clues. I mean, why would there be a model plane? Or half the other things, too..."

PD wrote: "But you do miss so much when you just watch the movie instead of the novel it's adapted from," PD commented, "movies can never quite compare to the books... at least I've never met a movie that could."
"This is true," Morfinneth said. "There are always changes and key differences between books and films."

"In my opinion, it's because you couldn't possibly fit it all into one movie. Though the 6-hour Pride and Prejudice does a good job of trying to go line-by-line....Agh! I'm going to be quiet until someone mentions the killer again. It's too easy to get off track!"

"Shall we get on with thinking of the clues then?" Kit offered, "How about we started from the beginning? What is our first clue?"

"The "take that" note found at Nurr's crime scene. If I remember correctly, Nurr was suffocated with her own pillow," Susy answered, Kit.

"And the premonition. Which we all have been dismissing, incidentally..." Deria added.

"How do we intepret the 'Take That' note? And what are the circumstances of Nurrantiel's death?" Kit pushed the discussion along.

Deria pondered it. "Well, let's see. Possibilities are revenge, the song, or just a killer being like ha I killed one of you. Nurr was killed in bed, on top of pillows which were haphazard, which may mean that she wasn't on bed, or that there was a struggle. Only she doesn't know, and she only remembers having a premonition, so it must have been spasmodic and involuntary if it was a struggle, I think...." She looked around at the others.

"The take that note could be a revenge note. It could be against Nurr for being the killer last year, or maybe it was meant to be directed at someone else. Nurr was killed in the middle of the night with her own pillow." Susy paused for a second then added, "I think that's a horrible way to go. If you can't trust your pillow who can you trust?"

"Do we even know it was the pillows? We all kind of assumed that..."

"And of course" added The Horseman, "the note was on the floor and not on the table, which seems a strange place to leave it, unless the killer was disturbed... but Nurr would have remembered struggling with the killer surely?" he asked.

"Yes, that's what I was wondering," said Deria. "Unless the note wasn't from the killer and was instead, you know, maybe a bit from Nurr's own writings or something. If only Nurr knew more about the whole business...but we can't puzzle it all out from just this one murder, of course."
