"It could have been used to kill Fragile when she was on the balcony.. it might have had a poisoned nose or something... being thrown at the correct speed and height it might have made contact with her skin".... "or it could have been used to push someone over a well" coughed The Horseman. "If it hadn't already been found before then, that is" he added.

Kit eyed the Horseman curiously. It was clear that the Horseman was losing it.
Not his head.
Just his senses.
The Horseman was clearly losing his senses. "Perhaps we should think on this tomorrow and be off to bed now," Kit suggested.

"Well" said The Horsmen, glad to have an engrossed listener. "He was stabbed in the leg by the tip of the umbrella as he was walking along. Umbrellas can sometimes hit people in the leg, and no one thinks anything of it. However, this tip contained a very small pellet of ricin which is a lethal poison if injected or inhaled. The pellet dug into his leg and... the poor fellow died days later" finished The Horseman.

Kit leaned closer to the Horseman with piqued interest, "Though, if the pellet dug into his leg, I assume there was an actual injury to his leg. Why didn't he care for it?"

"The pellet was merely the size of a pin head, and the tips of umbrellas are sharp anyway, so I doubt he thought at the time, especially as the assasin aplogized for hitting him. It was only later when a mark appeared and he was still in pain, that he knew something was wrong. The price you pay for speaking out about your country that certain people don't like to hear" said The Horseman sadly.

Kit was awed, while being deeply engrossed in the circumstances of the death with the killer umbrella tip. "How long ago was this? As I understand it, umbrellas no longer have prominently sharp tips."

"I myself have an umbrella with a tip on the end" said The Horseman.
[I do actually, it has horses on it and it has a handle and it opens automatically with the press of a button and I've always wanted an umbrella with a handle and I think I should take a breath now]

"Oh, no indeed" cried The Horseman. "The victim was a Bulgarian who critized his goverment and the Bulgarian authorities wanted him dead, so they enlisted the KGB to help. They had already tried twice to kill the poor man, and with the sneakiest of tactics, they finally suceeded. The apology was just a gesture of making the incident seem harmless and unextraordinary".

"Well I believe they found all of that out later" he said. "They found the pellet in the area he had been spiked with, he described the man as having a foriegn accent and I think inside information allowed them to find out exatly why and who killed him. And also it's not everyday people have ricin in their leg, so..." he finished.
