I don't know. I thought that for a while. But getting married and having a baby changed my feelings on the subject!

I wouldn't know about that yet. Some would like to argue that I'm well old enough to marry and bear a child. Sure, I'm old enough and mature enough but personally, I'm not ready for that. I'm not even in a relationship let alone speak of marriage and children. I actually don't feel like I need to be in a relationship right now. I mean, yes it would be nice but I'm a whatever happens happens kind of person and I don't go around searching for one either.

I think that's pretty likely to be my fate. I never wanted marriage or children young anyway. It's likely I'll be like 30-35 by the time that comes around. That's how I may see it, but who knows what's going to happen in the future. I'm actually pretty lost in life right now. (no thanks to so many fall outs)

I'll be 22 in less than two months... and sometimes I wish I could go back to high school. Things are easier and simpler in high school...

Things are easier in high school. Though I wouldn't know how hard college is yet considering I'm still a senior but I'm graduating in like 23 days!!

I'll be 26 early next month and I never wish I could go back to high school. It was not an easy life for me. College I don't know if it's easier or harder. yeah, yeah I know. It's kind of sad that I have not gone yet and I'm getting old. I'm hoping to this fall or next.

Well, I had both good times and bad times in high school (who doesn't?) but sometimes I wish I could go back for like a week and see people I went to school with again. I've lost touch with a lot of them, even though I'm friends with some of them on facebook.
There are good and not-so-good things about college. The freedom to do what you please (well, almost) and take the classes you want is great, but the workload is also bigger (most of the time, anyway). Also, I rarely see people I meet in class after the semester is over. This semester, for example, there's a few people in my chemistry class that I've become somewhat friendly with, but I'll probably never see them again. In Fall 07, I took microbiology and made friends with a couple of girls in my class. We all signed up for the same physiology class the next semester, and then, after that... I haven't talked to them (well, one of them, rather) since last summer. We had margaritas for my 21st birthday. Everybody has their own lives. It's probably different at university, but oh well.

I liked high school... or at least so it seems. When I look back at those three years and examine it closely I recall it not being all happiness. We had a not so harmonious class, it was sort of divided in two parts with a particularly ugly intrigue that tended to spread out to involve everyone. So yeah, the first 1½ years were a little difficult but the last year was great, so in fact my memories from high school are mostly positive!
My question to you guys. Do you have a set career/life/whatever plan? Wishes, ideas, ambitions that you steer after?
I think I used to have one.. but now I don't know... it's like I'm bouncing out of my comfort zone and get the slightest feeling that perhaps I should try something else... it's ... disturbing and very interesting!

Well... I have the next several years of my life planned out, for now at least!
I'm in school right now. I'm hoping I'll get into the pharmacy technician program at my college this fall, and it's two semesters long. I also started working on the prerequisite classes I'll need to get into pharmacy school this semester.
Just call me the perpetual student!

Ha, Eary, I am also a perpetual student! I have no idea when I'm graduating, but that's okay, I'm not really looking forward to getting a real job....However, I think I may go to graduate school.....
Career Path, Wishes and ideals...Hmmm...Good Question Ea! I don't have too much planned into the future. So far, my plans include: studying abroad in the fall. One of my friends wants me to move to Syria with her in the summer, however, that's somewhat tentative, it depends on the political situation the closer we get to next summer. Graduate school hopefully is somewhere in my future. We shall seee.....sometimes...I feel lost....but....it's somewhat exciting.....

I'm still trying to decide what I wish to do. I want to have some kind of career in the arts, but I think I should have a minor on the side.

New topic, since it's been a couple months.
Do you try to either live green, live frugally, keep with the status quo, or fall somewhere in between?
Examples: Replace disposables with reusables?
Replace harsh chemicals with green ones, or packaged cleaners with homemade cleaners?
Buy convenience foods? Buy some convenience, some you make? Eat out mostly? Mostly eat in? Buy whatever's on sale? Buy only what you need? What catches your eye? Shop by a list? Buy organics only, some, rarely, never? Grow your own? Make your own things sometimes?
Do you intend to keep things as they are, make changes, unsure?
Why do you choose that?
I'll Start:
======================================
I use dryer balls rather than dryer sheets.
I use some green cleaners, mostly though because I have a little one and don't want him around harsh chemicals. A few green cleaners haven't worked for me. Like my dishwasher. I bought this large box of Seventh Generation dishwasher detergent and found I have to mix it with Cascade for my dishes to turn out ok. Otherwise the chemicals make this awful smell when they get on the heating element and my glasses are all covered in white powder. Eww. Other things, like Greenworks toilet and all-purpose cleaner, I use.
I use vinegar instead of rinse-aid.
I use cloth a lot. I've phased out paper napkins for cloth napkins. Do you have any idea how nice it feels on your face, and how much more absorbent cloth napkins are? Saves $ in the long run too.
Cloth diapers and diaper wipes with homemade chemical-free wipe solution. I only use disposable diapers and wipes on long trips like spending the day in TN with the in-laws or vacations/weekends away. Seriously, it's a lot cheaper than disposables, that was the first thing that drew me in to it.
I'm replacing most of my kleenex with handkerchiefs (though I'll keep a box on hand for guests). It's nicer on noses, and we go through enough tissue in this house year-round I suspect I'll save $ this way. I know it uses water and energy to clean these things too, but I also appreciate how nice cloth feels.
I'm gradually replacing paper towels with cloth towels and rags--I say gradually since I started last May and haven't finished yet, but am closer!
I don't use a swiffer or any such thing. I use a schmop, and love it.
I'm reading up on possibly replacing plastic sandwich bags with wrap-n-mats. However, I use freezer bags to store food in the freezer and might just continue doing that; I'm not finding a good compact alternative for that.
I still use plastic garbage bags.
I haven't made the switch to bringing my own shopping bags, although I use the plastic shopping bags to line my trash cans.
Most of the food in my house is made from scratch, but not all. I don't tend to buy organic because it's expensive, but if there's a good price I will. I've discovered homemade bread is cheaper than store bought, but I haven't made a habbit of baking it yet. I know I should. I do buy a few convenience foods for when I'm not feeling up to cooking myself--yesterday for lunch I had one of those "just add water" asian soup meals.

I can actually join this now! Technically I turned 18 last month [Oct 16] but it's been a bit hectic since then and I managed to completely forget that I'm now an adult member of A-U. Nothing much has changed besides that, since I don't smoke and I don't keep up with politics enough to vote [though I am registering, just to appease my mother], but it's exciting all the same!
