Come one! Come All! To AU's Official 2009 Yule Ball! Dance through the halls! Have something to eat! Around every corner is a new treat!
Welcome welcome to the MANSION here at AU. Usually it is closed to the public, but for once a year it is opened to one and all! And what is this special occasion you might ask? Well it is no other than that party that happens only once every year when the snow falls! The Yule Ball!
This mansion is where most of the events shall be taking place! You can explore as you want, do what you want, just as long as you don't ruin any of the decorations!
Entering through the huge mohogany ornate doors lies the great hall of the Arwen-Undomiel Mansion! From the ceiling hangs a golden chandelier that casts a warm glow on the marble tiles below. For some odd reason the usual chandalear is gone, and it it's place is the golden one with a W that appears to be part of the metalwork. Down along the hall are Corinthian pillars, each almost two stories high, supporting the balcony of the second floor. In the center of the room stands the biggest Holiday tree you would ever see in these parts, full of strange present-shaped ornaments and garlands and a great big star on top. Circling the tree is a large maroon couche, one of those neat circular ones you used to find in really fancy old hotels.
And then to the left you'll find a pair of door wide open showing you to the Ballroom, a very spacious woode-floor room with mirriors along every wall to show the dancers' every step. At one end of the room sits a small orchestra playing lovely Christmas music that echos through the halls, filling the listeners with Holiday spirit. Oh, and look there! The orchestra even has some spare instruments for anyone with willing fingers to play them!
And to the other side of the hall there are three rooms, each with large double doors as well. The first, closest to the front door, is a sitting room with a warm fireplace, table full of games, a big comfy couches for snuggling. This would be the place to get warmed up once you have just entered from the wonderful Garden. The second room is a long dining room, the table stretching seemingly on and on, a gold and green tablecloth is covered with poinsetta table centers and food. All the Holiday sweets you could want! A roaste boar, a bit of turkey, mashed potatoes, pies of every flavor, and there's even a chocolate fountain next to a plate of fruits. But, if there is nothing there you see you like, the third room is a well-stocked kitchen, ready for cooking anything you could imagine. Don't worry, the pantry is magic and will have plenty of what ever it is you need. And there is even a pile of baking chocolate piled on a table in the corner.
Back in the hall and at the far end is a large fireplace with tons of stuffed stockings, each one with a name of an AUer, so there is something for everyone there. And on either side of the fireplace is a solden staircase with red carpet. These lead up to the second story!
The second story has only two glass doors. One leads to an outside balcony for a little romantic moment or pershaps gazing at the stars, or looking down and saying hello to those outside in the garden.
And the other side? Why, that would be the Masquerade Hall! You can peak in there and sign up for it before the masks are put on! Don't forget to head there when the Masquerade starts!(shall be on another thread!)
And here ends the tour of the Arwen-Undomiel Yule Ball Mansion! Explore as you wish, maybe you'll find a secret passage! There might be time to do everything you wish! But the most important thing is to enjoy your time hear! Let the partying begin!

(Thanks! Looks great! )
Freya stepped through the wide doors at the front of the hall. Striding down the center of the room, she climbed halfway up the steps, then turned around to see if the others were following. She had an announcement to make, but everyone must be inside before that could happen.
Arty came to stand beside her and whispered in her ear, "Is he ready? Do you think they'll actually comply?"
"Yes, he's ready, but I don't know if they will respond."

(Oh my word it sounds too good to be true. XD)
Aerwyn and Firien followed Freya into the mansion. Aerwyn gasped upon seeing the room and even Firien had to admit he was quite impressed. "I don't know much about this Christmas business--the whole idea of that gaudy tree puzzles me--but it's in a fair way of an excellent place," he said to her in an undertone. She hit him lightly. "Hey, we take Christmas seriously." In a louder voice, she said, "It's beautiful," quite honestly. She stopped at the bottom of the stairs since Freya stopped at the middle and waited to hear what was next.

(I'm glad you all like it! I need to thank Freya for giving me the base for it so I could elaborate it!)
Raina, as soon as she stepped in the warm hall, took off her coat and hung it on one of many hooks, then pulled Cloud toward near the middle of the hall and turned a full circle.
"Wow, they really cleaned this up after the exploding candy thing, it's amazing," Eruraina said, and turned to Cloud. "Isn't is?"
"Wow, yes, they did a wonderful job," Cloud replied, clear blue eyes looking around. "But it looks like Freya is about to announce something."
Raina looked up at Freya and nodded, "I think she'll wait for everyone to get in. Come on, lets go grab a snack first."

(Oh my gosh it is stunning!)
Rinoa and Sean had followed the others into the hall of the mansion. The beauty overwhelmed Rinoa. She stopped for a moment inside the door, just taking in the sight before her. Sean had walked a head of her a few paces and when he realized that she was no longer by his side, he stopped and looked at her. “It’s beautiful isn’t it?” She asked him as she started walking with him again.
“It sure is. They did a great job after the incident that happened.” Sean replied as they stopped at the end of the staircase. They were sure that Freya had something to announce and waited patiently for her to speak.

"Oh. Oh my." Nurr stopped dead inside the door. Well, not dead. She felt she should clarify, as sometimes AU gatherings had that unfortunate tendency. "You alright?" Arthur asked as he took her cloak and handed it to a waiting servant. "Yes, it's just...it's so beautiful!" She spoke in a hushed tone, partly due to the atmosphere and partly in expectation.

(Sorry it took so long to respond, I've been having internet problems... could get on, but when I went to post it would drop off the face of the planet... :/ )
Looking out at the faces before her, Freya smiled craftily. "Friends, as I know you enjoy mysteries and surprises, I have prepared one for this year's Yule Ball. The next person who comes through that door is a friend of Artemis's family and owner of this mansion. However, they will be in disquise. You will have until the end of the Yule Ball to discover who they are. You can ask as many questions of them as you like, except for who they are and what they do."
As the elf finished her last statement, the double doors flew open and a tall figure stepped through. The figure was dressed as, albeit tall, pale, and thin, Santa Claus. "Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas!"

(It's all good Freya. There are times when my internet does that too. )
Freya finished her announcement about figuring out the mystery owner and then the doors of the mansion opened. True to her word, the owner walked through the doors and into the hall dressed as.... a thin Santa Claus? Rinoa wanted to make a humorous remark in relation to Santa Claus but decided against it. She was hardly ever the one to discover Colonel Mustard in the Billiard Room with the candlestick, so trying to figure out the identity of the owner would prove a challenging task. Only one question popped into mind that might help. Rinoa walked up to Freya to ask the first question about the mystery owner, her right index finger on her lips in thought. "Freya, I have a question about our mystery owner. Did they graduate college? If so what was their major?"

Freya smiled, "I think you had better ask them, not me." Turning to the figure, she quirked her eyebrow at them as if to say, "Well?"
The thin Santa wrung his hands slightly, tugging at his white gloves. "I never went to college, as I already had a job. Self-run business, you see."

*Double Post: So Sorry! Please don't shoot the elf!*
Freya nudged Artemis, "I wonder why everyone is so quiet? Has the LEP done anything recently?"
Artemis merely gave his wife a confused look. "Sometimes I simply do not understand your logic."

(Sorry it's taking so long to reply. I've out visiting my mother and I don't want to seem rude by being on the internet too long. XD)
Upon receiving an answer for her question Rinoa started to ponder the identity. Sean knew that she would probably not be able to figure it out and took a moment to let her know of his awareness. "Have any idea or do you need twenty more clues."
"I am such a genius that I have it all figured out." She replied with a clearly sarcastic tone. "I am quite parched. How about you?"
"I could use a drink." The two walked arm and arm as they made their way over to the drink display for a glass of water.
