I'm extremely excited, AND THEY'RE SHOWING A PREVIEW TRAILER DURING THE SUPERBOWL, SO UM, YES, I DON'T CARE IF THE VIKINGS BEAT MY COWBOYS, I WILL WATCH. Because it's Avatar so .... squuuueeeeeeeeeeeee.
I really have faith in this project, simply because Avatar relies a lot on storytelling and that's always been a strong point in M. Night Shyamalan's directing, he's an extraordinary storyteller.

They look incredible, only just saw them today myself. I'm really looking forward to it. :D:D:D And Zuko is looking more awesome than I anticipated, Aang too even!

YupYup!
Dev really has got that Zuko stance down pat in that poster. Noah totally impressed me during that little teaser, that boy has skillz.

I really hope he not only kicks butt as an airbender, but brings out Aang's carefree personality. I haven't seen this kid smile yet, and that's a little troubling (but Shyamalan likes to keep his projects under wraps, so that's understandable).

We gotta keep the faith lol
Seriously though, everything I've seen and read makes me believe everything will work out fine. Plus Bryan and Michael are on board and have been there every step of they with M.Night, so I'm not too worried.

That's true, Raivynn. Hopefully, Bryke are making sure Avatar stays true to form... except, maybe not the ending of book 3, 'cuz I want my ship, kthank you.

Yes, Raivynn! Until the day I die!! Bryke knows how many people they made mad by hinting at it the entire second half of book 3 and then the alternative universe ending! BAAAHHHHHH!!!!
[flails around on the floor throwing a tantrum]
Although, despite that, the finale was pretty amazing.

I know what you mean. I always thought they'd end up together and Aang would go on his Avatar journey on his own sort of thing. To me that would have been far more interesting than the absolute happy ending.
But apart from that yeah, the finale was spectacular. I hated that it ended. I needed more. At least now there's the live action movie(s) planned that we can all hopefully squee over.

I honestly thought that they were going to extend it into four books making the last one AIR and Aang discovering other airbenders or there's somehow a revival of the airbending line through Appa or something. There's a huge debate on if the trait of "bending" is inherited or randomly selective or learned. In Toph's case, it's implied that she learned through the badger moles, but in Katara's case, it seems randomly selective, and in Zuko's case, it seems inherited.

Book of Air would have been awesome. Especially if Aang had've discovered a secret group of Airbenders.
I honestly think it's all three. There are other Earthbenders who have inherited it. It's definetly food for thought though.

Who of the Earthbenders have inherited it? Haru? I can only think of him. We didn't get a lot of Earthbenders who played a large role minus Long Feng and the Dai Li plus Toph's "wrestling" buddies.
... I miss Avatar. DDD:

Haru was who I was thinking of. Maybe I'm looking too deeply into that. But it seems a bit too coincidental that both father and son were accomplished benders.
