(Since I am really bad at waiting I'm posting a fun little filler with Christine and Gibbs. Because angsty drama is fun. Haha :-D )

Christine was pointedly glaring at the back of Jack's head considering she wouldn't dare do that while he was turned towards her. The intensity of the gaze lessened as she once again she wondered why she was wasting time on repairing a friendship that had been lost years ago.

Her mind thought back to Rosie's taunts before she left: "Why go help him, Chrissie? You're worth more to the man dead than alive, at least then he could loot your body. Honestly, you and yer silly ideas. Tis all that supposed education..." She had laughed then, but it wasn't so funny now. All in all it was very true.

Her mouth twisted into a frown Her eyes glanced toward Gibbs and she knew the whole thing was because the big hearted man had wanted to rectify the situation. Silly man that he was, even as a pirate he always was a bit less cynical than everyone else around him. The woman let out a signature long suffering sigh and looked about the deck, surveying the motley group settling around her. She scratched her head and her eyes shifted sideways as she saw a familiar man stand next to her.

"I don't belong here, Gibbs..." she confessed and turned her head to look at the man who seemed to be a bit lost himself - he was honestly a bit worried about his captain who seemed a little worse for wear. He'd talk the man into some rest after young Turner was through with him.

"Well, fine time to be figurin' out now," he said tersely.

"Really, Joshamee," Christine continued. "Why am I here? Am I here to salvage a friendship that died two gun shots and God knows how many years ago? Am I here to guilt a man who feels no guilt..."

Gibbs cut her sentence short, Christine was his friend, certainly but that did not give her leave to speak ill of the man he had trusted with his life many a time. Although, he would have to admit later that his comment was a little low. "Not like you got more on yer plate back in Tortuga, aye? That's why yer here. Yah wanted some adventure. This here be better than parading around the docks... beggars have more integrity than yah, Chrissie."

Christine frowned and crossed her arms, her eyes darting about the dock to see if any heard the declaration. She was not proud of what she did, no (that isn't to say that she couldn't pretend as well as any while in Tortuga), and she knew that many female pirates did not take too kindly to those in her profession either considering many men looped them in the same category and she was in no mood to deal with any other slights. Satisfied that none had overheard she shot Gibbs a withering glare.

"You have no such room to speak, pirate," she hissed and suddenly was very reminiscent of a younger woman with a decent fortune and a vehement hatred for pirates and anything that broke the law. Gibbs gave a derisive laugh and lumbered away from the woman, but not without a small shot over his shoulder.

"Speak like that to any others here, girl and you'll be swallowed by the ocean faster than you can yell fer help."

[Felixa and Evanna are going to be background charaters from now on and I shall be focusing on Alanna, Andrea, and Carmel. Though I can't think of anything to post for Alanna yet =/]

Andrea didn't know what to do with herself, she watched as Tia Dalma bent over Barbossa's body, no longer daring to hope it would make a difference. She was so confused, she didn't know how her life had reached this point. All of a sudden she just wanted to be back in Ireland, back to her childhood where she would curl up by the hearth, snuggled into her uncle's side as her baby cousin Noirin lay in her lap, head against her chest. She felt tears prick her eyes as everything she'd been through came tumbling down ontop of her. She'd alienated herself from her family, chosing to stay aboard the Black Pearl rather than go home, she'd blindly followed her captain into a life that changed her from the inside out, she'd given up any chance of having a child of her own to save said captain and she'd ended up falling hopelessly and unconditionaly in love with a man who would most likely use her and throw her aside like a rag doll afterwards. The man who, despite her unbearable sacrifice, remained dead and lifeless upon a bed less than a meter from where she sat.

Waves of pent up emotion rolled through her and overwhelmed her, she lept to her feet and turned to a small table which held a few bottles and candles. With an almighty cry of rage and desperation she raised her leg and kicked the table over with such force that the impact shook the small wooden cabin slightly. she then turned her anger to the wall behind her, lashing out with her fist and not even noticing when her hand went straight through the wood. She let out a final anguised scream before letting herself crumble to the ground in a heap, crying hysterically and cradling her shredded hand.
_____________

Carmel was in a daydream again, heading to one of her favorite parts of the Duchess. She liked to sit in the middle of things, watch as life moved around her like a dance, she liked to spectate, especially with all the new people on board to watch. She didn't notice where she was walking, untill her foot caught something and she felt her body fall like a plank of wood. She felt her breath leave her with a soft "Oooft" and she felt something jerk beneath her. She looked up to findherself laying across the legs of a man and a woman.

[ Just throwing in Nathaniel, whom I've really been neglecting lately ;) He'll put Ed under some more pressure :P]

Nathan had silently observed the scene on the beach, from the upper deck of the Duchess, and now everything had quieted down he descended the stairs below deck. There he found Edward Blackhaven, looking rather flushed and anxious, and Cole Applegate, who was seemingly worried. Nathan vaguely knew them, but he'd not often talked to the newcomers. His history and the years of solitude had made him a loner, not appreciating or perhaps even afraid of the company of others.
Nathan glanced, with his dark eyes, from one man to the other, catching the last sentences of their conversation.
"Is everything alright down here?" he asked with a smile. When no reply came, Nathan turned to Edward. "She loves you, you know. Miss Pierce, I thought her name was.. Even a blind man can see that.."

"Didn't I tell you this was nice..." Aurora muttered letting her eyes periodically open to stare up into the sky that was slowly darkening and then closing them again to just feel the breeze and smell the fresh salty air mixed with musk and the sweet scent of rum.

"Aye, I'll say that this is actually quite nice. I may have to... what the..." Dante had been in the midst of speaking when something pressed against his side and then a great weight fell on him. It must have fallen on Aurora as well because her mouth was spewing off an array of quite colorful profanity that even he had never heard before.

Where she had learned such things he'd never know, but he did have to admit her wording was clever.

When the initial shock of having the wind knocked out of their systems dissipated Dante looked to see a pair of long legs lying across his lap and a torso of a woman lying across Aurora. It was A-Rose who first identified the fallen figure.

"Carmel, what do you think you're doing. Can't you see we are being one with the ship." She groaned, helping the woman sit up with the push of her hands on the others shoulders.

------

Shiloh stepped to the edge of the ship and looked over into the water below. His pallor was a bit green and he was slightly regretting being roped into sailing to a new island thanks to Zoe's persuasiveness. "Damn girl...." He muttered as he felt the slight churning of his stomach.

After taking some much needed breaths he felt he was well enough that he could move around the ship once more without getting ill. Brushing hands over his face that was returning to it's natural color he went to go find Zoe.

"Now where did she go..." It had been a long time since Shiloh Barker had been on a ship. Since his ship had wreaked many years ago on the isle of Anguilla he had spent most of his life on land, which was part of the reason he had agreed to venture with Zoe.

All Shiloh needed was just to get accustomed to being on the sea again and then he would be find.

-----

Gabriel stood outside of Beckett's office with the other attending soldiers. While their attention was placed on some of the passing wenches Gabriel couldn't help but listen to what was happening behind closed doors. Talk of the dead man's chest. He had of course heard legends of such things from passing folk.

In fact he remembered a specific time with a certain woman who had spoken of the tale of Davy Jones and his heart. It was a terrifying and yet tragically beautiful story and he remembered discussing what they would do if they were put into such a situation.

Thankfully he never had or was going to have to tear his heart out for the one he loved.

Sighing he straightened up when the doors opened and Keyara and Norrington stepped out, nose scrunching slightly at the foul odor of stale liquor and other strange smells wafted off the old commodore. A man he had once been under the jurisdiction of.

Times and changed and so had his loyalties.

[It's not dead - just on vacation... but I agree that PD needs to come over and post at some time - unfortunately LOST has probably consumed her obsession for Pirates at the moment. Same has happened with me and Kingdom Hearts :blush: ]

[[Okay, I still need PD to reply to my Jack and Vari posts, so I guess I’ll have to wait for that… ;-) But for now, here’s the rest mates, as I’m trying to jump back into it!!!]]

The green-eyed man turned as Nathan suddenly appeared below the deck of the Duchess and invited himself into the conversation; something that had previously been private. But as Nathan’s words began to settle in, Edward felt even more guilty for his actions. “Well… ain’t nothin’ can be done now, seeing as she’s on that ship an’ I’m on this one. It’ll have to wait until we make port; whenever and wherever that may be,” he stated, before giving a curt nod and hurrying to the upper deck for some fresh air.

But in his rush, he hardly noticed the three bodies facing upwards, and suddenly Edward found himself with his face against the deck and torso across Aurora and Dante’s legs. “What in the hell…?” He looked over his shoulder to see them all staring back at him as if he were the crazy one - though after that pitiful excuse about two separate ships, maybe he was. If he was going to let distance separate himself from Vari, then he didn’t deserve to be called a man.

-------------

Shaelyn snorted as she watched the three stare up at the sky. They looked like absolutely ridiculous fools, all of which had gone utterly insane. But at least they’d found a way to entertain themselves for the time being. Her eyes settled on Alanna. Perfect. She slowly made her way over to the blonde girl who had her back turned and wrapped to arms around her lover’s waist. “I’m so dreadfully bored, love… where are we headed to anyway?”

--------------------------

Keyara remained composed on the outside albeit on the inside she was fuming. Who did this lowly man think he was to speak of her in such a way? “In which case you will never be truly clean… for without doubt your sins greatly outweigh my own. I suggest you read this,” Keyara replied, tossing the book she had been reading earlier Norrington’s direction. It was The Bible. “If you can read at all, that is,” she mocked before shrugging past him and walking up the gangplank of the ship that would bear them into the unknown.

--------------------------

Tia closed her eyes as her back remained to Andrea, but listened closely to her outburst. When she heard the girl’s cries of pain, she turned slowly and kneeled down to her once more. “Don’t do no good ta behave like dat, child…” The Obeah woman tore a piece off the hem of her dress and tied up Andrea’s self-inflicted wounds. “All de rage an’ angah in da world won’t bring ‘im back no fastah. Patience… dat is da key, don’t it?” She moved away quickly to stoke the white boa constrictor, muttering to it in a different tongue. “We are… getting company soon…. I can feel it in da wind,” Tia smiled, closing her eyes and letting the breeze from the open window blow her trinketed hair softly.

[[Let me know if you have trouble understanding her, okay Loth? ]]

--------------------------

MP made her way through the bustling town of Port Royal, catching glances as she went; some shocked, others bewildered - who was this woman passing by setting the streets aflame in a wave of red and gold? She made her way past crowds of people gossiping and chatting; all fell silent. MP cast them a glittering smile underneath the brim of her hat before moving along, barely avoiding a short-haired blonde girl in front of her.

Robyn turned quickly as she bumped elbows with someone, suddenly finding herself speechless. There was an aura of wonder about this woman, wise and strong, yet silent. “I - I’m quite sorry…”

“Don’t be,” MP replied, waving her hand in the air nonchalantly. But before Robyn could go about her business once more, MP captured her wrist and leaned in to speak in a hushed voice. “You look about the age of my daughters; do you know where they are?”

“Ma’am, I - ”

“You are a pirate, aren’t you?” MP smiled; the disguise Robyn was wearing may have fooled those around her, but MP knew that this girl was a swashbuckler, whether by choice or force. “Now, if you’d be so kind to answer my inquiries? Keyara and Varianna Pierce, their names are…”

Robyn was about to shake her head, when suddenly something in the back of her mind clicked. Her cousin, Edward, had in fact mentioned someone by the name of Pierce… “As a matter o’ fact, my cousin Edward Blackhaven joined a crew nigh ten years ago, captained by a woman with the last name Pierce. And now that you say it; Varianna Pierce --”

“So she did turn pirate after all,” MP murmured to herself before staring up into Robyn’s sea-green eyes. “You will tell me everything you know. You and your friends - ” she motioned towards the girls Robyn was standing with, “ - will accompany me upon my ship, the Hellbourne Privateer, is that understood?”

Robyn nodded quickly; this was exactly what she and the other three had been looking for, and now they finally had a ship to part from this bloody town, crawling with redcoats. “Understood and agreed, Miss -- ”

MP held her hand up to stop the young girl. “MP - we shall leave it at that. Prepare your things; we leave port first thing tomorrow morning, just before sunrise.”

[[So PD - here’s where you could throw in the Reynolds sisters, and I’ll add Robyn and Audrina :pirate: Just so we can finally have them catch up with everyone before they arrive at Tia Dalma’s shack ;-) ]]

(Eeee, this is exciting!*Throws in Eve and Morgaine* :pirate: )

“What’s that?”
The faint voice floated over to Guinevere on the breeze. It only just reached her hearing; for several moments now Guin had been drifting in and out of consciousness. Nothing much seemed to make sense anymore… but despite the vague feeling that was obscuring and making unclear most thoughts that came to her, there was Guin’s determination still there, a need to survive. The voice reached some part of her that would not allow herself to give up. Certainly not now, of all times, in these worst of times. Blearily, her eyes opened. How to locate the voice? Like a drunkard, she attempted to regain her balance as she struggled up. Her sight was still a little blurred, but she could just about make out two figures, two women; one with red hair and one with blonde.
Whoever they were, they were people. It didn’t matter in the slightest who they were; they were alive, and they could help her.
With staggering feet, she approached them. She looked a little like a mermaid, her vibrant red hair strung with dark green seaweed, in her green gown, covered in sand.
Clearing her throat, she coughed up a little more seawater. She grimaced. How much seawater had she left to cough up? Then again, the time between the mutiny on her ship and when she had washed up on the beach did stretch a few days.
When she found her voice, it was slightly hoarse. “I…” she began, “I… would be much obliged… if you could perhaps… help me.” She attempted to focus on Sam and Carmon, to see what they actually looked like, but they were still a blur. Her head swum, and she began to feel dizzy again.
She found a smile from somewhere, and then the two blurry figures before her disappeared completely, for all she saw was darkness, and she collapsed at their feet.

~~~
Out of the shadows of Tia’s shack strolled a woman with thick golden-brown hair and a kind, ambiguous smile. She wore a dark blue dress, eclectic with embroidery and beads, and around her throat was a golden pendant of an eagle. She was tall and slim, with tanned skin. She had witnessed Andrea’s outburst, observed Tia as she watched over Barbossa, the pirate captain she was bringing back from death, and yet there had been no sign of her; indeed, it seemed as if she had stepped out of some invisible portal. But to be certain, she had not.
She strolled over to the bed where the motionless man lay and looked upon him with a vague, compassionate kind of curiosity; she wondered what Tia’s price had been to bring him back. For sure, there would have had to be some kind of bargain. What had the blonde woman given? Turning, she looked over where Andrea sat.
“Patience, a gift beyond any gold or treasure,” she spoke, with her indistinguishable smile. It was often a curiosity to her why pirates desired material reward so very much; gold, jewels. It was all of no significance. But then again, there were those of that piratical nature who wanted more; power. So often, these men, these women, had come to her and asked her for just that. “You must wait.” She spoke with a soft Irish accent. “He will come back, it will take time…” Her gaze drifted away from Andrea, as if her attention was momentarily caught elsewhere. She seemed focused on something not present. A scene elsewhere.
And then, just as suddenly, she turned and walked quietly up to Tia, her footsteps soft, the skirts of her blue gown gliding along with her with a slither almost akin to that of a snake.
“Something is approaching, is it not?” she spoke the words swiftly, but not hurriedly; Morgaine’s voice was always a musical lilt. She looked over her shoulder towards Barbossa and Andrea. Her next words drifted off in an entirely different direction to the first; or maybe they were linked. It was impossible to tell. “When he awakens… I wonder what he shall seek.”
More. They always wanted more, these pirates… they would always want the next great adventure, gift, reward. Morgaine sensed very acutely that the blonde woman, Andrea, had given something very precious indeed to bring the pirate Barbossa back to the land of the living.
~~~

Eve turned her head as the dark-haired woman, walking in a blaze of gold and red, approached Robyn; well, more like bumped into her without the slightest sign of worry. The woman appeared quite unconcerned; Robyn, certainly, seemed taken aback by her. Eve stood at Robyn’s side, looking on in wonder, her grey-blue eyes watching MP curiously, and also her friend’s reaction. Eve was new to this world; perhaps curious things often happened to pirates. She would have to become accustomed to it; for her new occupation did not at all frighten her. She seldom feared nowadays. It only needed getting used to.
The woman had caught Robyn by the wrist. Eve listened to their words. There were names mentioned… Edward… Pierce… all of which were utterly unknown to Eve. But one thing seemed certain, Robyn was most definitely agreeing to this stranger’s proposal; she had a ship, she wanted them to accompany her.
They had all been waiting for such a moment, lying low, trying to escape the notice of redcoats. Port Royal was hardly safe for them. MP seemed not to have been fooled by Robyn’s disguise. Eve herself had not been a pirate long enough to fool anyone or not; she just looked like a girl, a slender young woman with blonde hair swept back off her face, and a light blue-grey gown. Her thin wrists were threaded with blue beaded bracelets, and she wore a cropped, dark grey cloak over her gown; it was old and had certainly seen better days, patched here and there.
This chance was probably the only one of such kind that they would get; ships with captains willing to take on new crew members were few and far between.
She spoke quietly under her breath to Robyn, with a small smile. “What a lucky day this turned out to be.” Looking back at MP, she gave a small nod to signify thanks, with her tiny smile. The woman may have had her own reasons for wanting them on board her ship, to find her daughters it seemed, but this was a lucky day indeed for them.

[[Sorry, 'tis not very good]]

It seemed that her idea to lay on the deck and watch the sea's sky was catching on. Not only did she recruit Dante to join her without saying anything. Carmel had been her next victim. Watching the clouds and feeling the sea breeze with mates was just so much better. Even if they simply stumbled over her. "So where is So.." Once more a great weight fell upon her and Aurora gasped, much louder this time and with many a pained grunts and explicits falling from her lips.

Dante let out a few strange sounds himself but luckily no one seemed to notice for which he was quite thankful for. He didn't need to add any more fuel to the fire that Aurora held against him. The night in the tavern still was used quite often even though it led to one of the greatest things of his life.

Back in the present Aurora was staring at Edward who had accidently joined their sky gazing crew as if he was the crazy one. Before he got a chance to get up and/or apologize she reached over and grabbed his arm, pulling him so that he lay on her right side. "Now tell me what you see. Doesn't that look like the Kraken?"

Since Aurora-Rose could rarely stay on one topic she leaded up a bit and turned to face Dante. "As I was saying where Soren?"

----

Gabriel pulled himself out of his memories. It wasn't best to dwell anyways. Now there was really no chance he would ever see...her again... and even if he did Gabe wouldn't know what to say if he ever came face to face with Aurora-Rose. Mentally sighing Gabrielf focused now on the present and watched as Keyara slipped away from his view.

Sometimes he really felt bad for the Lady of the ship. But she was a strong woman, just like another he knew.

Carmel sat up with the help of Aurora and shook herself before leaning back against the same part of the ship as Aurora and Dante.

“Sorry, Sorry.” She apologised and then sighed. Her sigh quickly turned to a great cry of pain as someone else fell upon the three. She recognised the man as Edward and helped Aurora to push him up.

“I guess this is a popular spot.” She commented, before turning to look Dante and A-Rose. “Sorren? Is he the one with the long blonde hair who can’t take his eyes off of our Dante here?” She smirked and winked at the man in question. “It’s okay, I can deffinately see the attraction.”

“You better be talking about me sweet cheeks.” Came a voice from above her and she smiled as Felix sat down beside them.

“Be grateful for your sake that we weren’t.” Carmel said in reply with a wink.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Alanna felt a pair of arms encircle her waist and she smirked as she listened to Shaelyn speak.

“Well,” she answered, turning round and placing her arms around the woman’s neck. “We could go and find some secluded beach and ravish each other, or we could take a trip to Tortuga and find some fun, or we could even run away and make a home for ourselves on some deserted island, but we can’t do any of that until we can get rid of these other bloody pirates. So for now, I’m afraid I have no idea where we’re going or what we’re doing, love.”

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Zoe watched as Shiloh leaned over the ship’s railings, her heart went out to him, she herself had never been sea-sick, but she knew it could be quite nasty. She watched him straighten up and look around. She took the opportunity to creep up behind him. Softly she put a hand on his shoulder then ran it down his arm, walking slowly to the side of him she turned his hand over so his palm was facing upwards and with her thumb and fore-finger, began to apply pressure to a spot on the inside of his wrist.

“Here.” She said smiling up at him, her voice as soft as her touch. “It helps with the sickness.”

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Andrea sat and watched as Tia bandaged up her hand and sighed.

“I know, I’m sorry.” She muttered softly, letting her gaze drift over to Barbossa’s body. She felt Tia move away and then jumped as she heard another voice from the shadows. She watched as a woman seemed to appear out of nowhere and approach the bed.

“Who the hell are you?” She exclaimed and leapt to her feet, making sure to place herself between this new woman and her fallen captain.
