I think I may have just died and gone to fangirl heaven. YES!!!!!! I'M SO EXCITED. My sister and I were such fans of the television series, seeing it come to life makes me squeal

Also.
IROH. ♥
I hope Katara impresses me, she has the good LOOK, but I'm afraid she won't quite be able to portray that unwavering, perfect faith in Aang.
Also, I wish to see more of Sokka possibly being more Sokka. Being ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS.
And omg, was that Gran Gran narrating at the end?! That's epic stuff.
Yue doesn't look quite as I expected her to look. I can already tell the storytelling is going to be amazing from M. Night Shyamalan.
Sigh. Thanks so much for sharing, Raivynn!!! <3
Aw no thanks needed. How could I not post it? lol
Now that I've calmed down somewhat...my thoughts.
Iroh....oh wow. I had a feeling Shaun Toub would be good but he just looks wonderful and he seems to be carrying that really laid back air Iroh has on the show. The only thing he lacks is the bulk and the white hair. But honestly, I don't care. Seeing that shot of him at the Spirit Oasis with Zhao gave me goosebumps. He's my favourite character and to see him played apparently so well...makes me very happy.
Visually it's glorious. I cannot find one fault with how it looks...at all. It gave me similar feelings to when I saw the very first trailer for Fellowship. Almost made me cry it looked so perfect and beautiful. Everything from the Fire Nation ships, to the Air Temple to Appa to the Iceberg. I'm struggling to take it all in....just completely wonderful...and the best part is. The movie isn't 100% complete with effects as far as I know, so there's more of this to come and improvements on already awesome looking sets/shots/ect
Dev looks intense. I now fully support him in the role and even more so now the Blue Spirit is 100% in there. We will see Zuko's journey -glee-
I like Nicola. She seems to be carrying a very mature vibe to her. Which is perfect for Katara. Even her voice reminds me of the animated version. M.Night has went on record as saying he would refuse to make the movie without Nicola...so I trust him. He has a knack for finding and directing excellent child actors.
Same with Jackson as Sokka. My thoughts on him remain neutral. I need to see the goofy side of him as much as the young warrior and protective older brother.
First look at Yue! She's very pretty and she still has her white hair. I think that would bother me if she didn't. Now...some proper Kyoshi Warrior action in the next trailer...plzkthx I wants to see mah Suki <3
I think the narration begins with Roku and ends with Gran Gran yes...that's my assumption anyways. The shot with Aang and Katara hugging was so sweet. It was nice to throw that in there.
So...yeah....BRING IT ON!
Oops yeah..for people wanting to make graphics. I found a great Hi-Res source.

Yes, I'm with you on that. Iroh looks fantastic and Iroh is one of those characters where if you get him wrong, you also get Zuko's evolution wrong. And thus, ruins Zuko. I wonder why he would burn at the Oasis though, he's so cautious about disturbing the Spirits!
The Iceberg is the image that takes my breath away, but I keep getting chills at the shot where Katara and Sokka are leaning over Aang.
I hope Yue is really good here, because I was always Team Suki the first time watching it through, but having rewatched it, I feel a little more for Yue. I just hope she's EPIC as the Moon Spirit.

From what I can gather from people who have seen a test screening, that Shaun captures Iroh perfectly. So much as even having him constantly drinking tea.
I think the Oasis scene is just him getting badass mad at Zhao. Cause he is clearly in the same shot. You know how insistent Iroh was that the spirits be undisturbed. They've possibly upped it to add more drama and tension. I'm okay with that.
Aww yeah...it's been captured so beautifully. Kudos all round.
There's another shot that really got to me..and that's the one with Sokka and Katara standing with the Northern Water Tribe...it's almost identical to a shot from the show.
I prefer Suki over Yue. But Yue is so important to the whole story and to Sokka's journey. What she did was so courageous, how could anyone not love her?

Right after they announced that a movie trilogy was going to be done, a lot of fans went out of their way and did memes on who they would cast for each character.
Now, I can't imagine anyone else but these actors that M. Night has casted.
Esp. OMG, IROH.

Um... does this destroy your world?
I think the existence of two eyebrows is... you know... okay.
He still has the scar though, so.

No, it does not destroy my world, I just was observing. I do odd things like that sometimes. Honestly, him just having that scar is epic enough.

I must be slow or really unobservant, because I never noticed 'toon Zuko only having one eyebrow. Just never seemed that important enough I guess.
Kit' I love how you laid that out. It's gorgeous and gives me chills just looking at it.

Me neither, Raivynn, though the missing eyebrow tends to get overshadowed by the fact that he has a HUGE SCAR AROUND HIS EYE. Idk.
I figure there's going to be a lot of picspams in the future for the movie, but only after it comes out. 8D I just wanna get my digs in first.

LOL yah the scar tends to take up most of the focus on his face and when he had that fetching ponytail.

You know, I'm gonna miss the ponytail in this trilogy, Raivynn. Simply because the cutting it off and being hunted by the Fire Nation is such a huge arc in the story of Iroh and Zuko. The scene where they cut off their ponytails is really poignant.
But I guess a mostly bald head and ponytail wouldn't really translate too well onscreen. 8D
Oh and the fact that all the fangirls went crazy when Zuko started to grow out his hair.

*laughs at emo Zuko hair* I've been re-watching the entire series and his hair isn't the only thing that went emo for a while. Poor abandoned Zuko, kicked out of the firenation at the tender age of 13.

You know, from all the flashbacks that Zuko has and the stories of how evil Ozai is, I was kind of disappointed at how ... not-scary he looked when we first meet him.
Is that bad? lol
