Recently on Supernatural...
Sam's in the demon-proof room again.
Square One, how have you been?
Also, I really think it's stupid that they've basically made everything that happens the will of God, that it's "all" planned. That the Winchesters' choice are not their own. Mary and John loved because the Angels made them love. Dean and Sam exist because the Angels made them exist. Dean and Sam's fates as hunters were because the Angels.
A big appeal of this show is the unique-ness of its main characters, the whole idea of seasons 1-2 was the idea and theme of CHOICES. Sam CHOSE not to live the hunter life. John CHOSE to hunt down the demon that killed Mary. Dean CHOSE to deal his life for Sam's at the crossroads.
And now? Now you're telling me, it wasn't their choice at all? It was all the work of Angels?
Why am I still watching this show?

Was anyone else disappointed by tonight's episode? Or season five in general? Dean has been really out of character for quite a while and it bothers me. XD And what was the point of bringing Meg back into the picture if she is only there for TWO or THREE episodes out of the season? D: I was all excited to see Meg again but they haven't done anything with her. I am also wondering why they haven't brought Jeffrey Dean Morgan back for a few things since John died. He should have been one of the people talking to Sam about his responsibilities while going through demon blood detox!
As for last night's episode... It disappointed me. If they would have spent less time doing meaningless episodes and repeating themselves it could have been far more interesting. The other two horsemen had an episode all to themselves! An then we get to Pestilence and Death in one episode!? They are the BIG ones! We spent an episode seeing Lucifer bring Death to the surface and then you only stick him in for a few minutes? WTH!?
Anyway... what do you guys think about season five? One more episode to go but it's turning out to be rather disappointing for the most part to me. It had a few memorable and great moments but not too many.

Okay. Soooooo....season 5 has been a bust really (except for Crowley because Mark Sheppard is the man and that demon is one of my fav. book characters ever). I was so confused with the finale that I don't even know where to start.
My sister and I basically sat in front of the television for a few minutes and just went, "Wait...what?"

I think we can agree that it's better for just close the series at season 4, because season 5 is an embarrassment. EMBARRASSMENT. Everything about it was just really sad, except for the few fabulous guest stars and anything that makes fun of the Winchesters because their angst has really annoyed me the past 21 episodes. Crowley's pretty fantastic, Castiel got stale for me once he no longer had powers and "became human" or whatever. That was a bit stupid to me and I really hate the inconsistencies with Castiel's "falling" and Anna's "falling" from season 4.
Season 5 could've been a lot better done, but for some reason, it fell really flat. They've got an apocalypse plot, and they could've done really good with it---they had all the things set up for a really good finale, but they couldn't properly put it together.

I agree. There were so many possibilities. I, for one, was hoping for more trouble when it came to Death and Pestilence's rings. Honestly, they set it up to be so awesome and if fell flat. Apparently, season 6 is confirmed. Maybe it will tie up the ends better and make me forget how season 5 was subpar.

I can't imagine how they can possibly make up for how fail season 5 has been. It was completely ghastly and having someone die and poof, they're alive again, TWICE IN ONE SEASON. I can't deal with it.
It's called staying within your universe, SPN. Get it straight.

Yeah. Crowley was pretty much the only good thing about Season 5. My friends and I agree that Season 3 was really the last time SPN was really... SPN. Season 4 was cool but at times it didn't feel like SPN. I've already had my rant about Season 5. Did anyone else notice they tried to make it seem like Chuck is God? (If that ends up being true there are so many plot holes, I don't even know where to begin) Anyway.... The constant death and revival irked me too Kit.
I'm kind of afraid of tuning in for Season 6. After Season 5 it better be EPIC! or else... *takes bow and arrows and sharpens sword* Though with Kripke now out of the main loop, who can say what is going to happen. Maybe by taking him out of the main loop, they will bounce back.... I hope for SPN to be the awesomeness it once was but, it may just be a dream.

I'm gonna watch the premiere of the 6th season and if it doesn't blow my freaking mine, it's very unlikely I'll continue watching it.

^ I'll probably do the same.
I just really hope it becomes... well SPN again.

so....I'm happy that we're back to monster of the week kind of thing. Also, CROWLEY. He isn't in the whole show and Sheppard manages to steal it. <3

I must be insane...cause I loved Season 5.
Castiel was a series regular and it's no coincidence to me that Season 6 has been a bit lacklustre without his unique presence.
Yes. Crowley is awesome and I'm loving seeing him pop up more often and hopefully with him taking a bigger involvment in the current storyline, things will start to improve.
Though saying that, last weeks episode had me in tears of laughter. The credits alone just...omglol
Guest appearance by Robert Picardo doesn't hurt either. ILU EMH <3

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. They killed off Crowley. I'm in denial. No one really dies in SPN right? Also, Castiel + Meg = win. I'm sorry sorry sorry. I just can't help it. The chemistry from the holy fire scene totally carried over. And I can't even describe how much I love the Angel + Demon idea. Especially now that they are playing with who actually rules over will thing.
