I really just want to know if the combinations are good. Team names can be changed. 
Also, I had another thought for an event. Once we get into teams, each member of the team could make a team flag/poster/song or something like that. If a member makes one, they would earn a point for their team. It would be a good way of getting people started up right at the beginning and make team spirit. _________________ going on a journey through my old claims

Sorting explained (an imaginary conversation with me)
Hewwo everybody! To choose which group of awesomeness you will be in, we'd like you to pick your favourite pair from LOTR! There are 2 options per group, but you don't need to like them both to join, you only need to choose one of them as your fave! For example:
Team A:
Frodo & Sam, Bilbo & Gandalf
Ooooh, JF-ish-ness of wonderment! I really like Frodo and Sam but not Bilbo and Gandalf!
That's alright my pet, because you will still get to be in mysterious Team A, because your favourite pair isssssss.... from Team A! Huzzah!
Yay!
Yay! And the best bit is, you don't know yet what awesome group you are in! Yay!
So basically, if I were choosing a group based on my favourite pair, I would get Team B because I like Merry and Pippin the best. And obviously, the teams are kept secret until such times when they are revealed to everyone by Nurr, who is good at these sort of things.  Hope that helped. We're not trying to confuse you. Honest.

I missed a lot since I was out helping family. XP This sounds like fun guys.  I don't know how much help I can be in events like this other than do as much participating as I can. QUESTION.
Nurr, are you going to tell us which of the members are in our groups? Because I'm a bit confused about all of this at the moment, I understand we're sorting everyone into teams, but does each team leader keep track of who is in their team, or are you going to PM us the results...? 
I'm beyond confused at the moment.

I am going to PM everyone the evening of the 17th, so no worries.
@Panneth: the characters don't really matter, they're just a way of sorting everyone. You don't have to base your team around them or anything. If anything, you'd base your team around Gondor and the "men" characters, since you're team Gondor.
