The year is 1874. In the Colony of Natal, the world is a powder keg. While restless Boers and enroaching Zulu impis threaten the frontiers, Europeans flock to the coast, searching for gold, glory, and big game.

Amidst this turmoil, Canadian hunter, Crimean War veteran, and translator Richard Braddock scrounges a living on the veldt. But his peaceful life is about to be shattered once more. From Durban, a company of European adventurers and thier entourage have come, seeking to experience the Dark Continent as theu know it. Amidst blood, tragedy, and black magic, life for Braddock and those whom he guides, will never be the same.

For this RPG, I require a minimum of 2 other players. Braddock will be played by yours truly, and the other characters MUST be European. Not nessecarily British, but from the Continent.

I'd say 3 is an acceptable number, if you can handle them. But, I want no more than 10 characters total. It gets confusing otherwise.

Is it possible for me to join with 3 characters? This sounds really interesting.

Also, I'd like at least 1 male character besides Braddock. There are a few hunting scenes that I doubt women would participate in.

I'm going to say yes, but I'd also like you to have a European character if you do that, please. The thing is, we can't have an overbalanced (Africa-leaning) number in the Nataler-European ratio, or else the 'mystery' of Africa and the plot is dampened. So choose wisely, Will.

Appearance: Tall build with sandy brown hair and dark brown hair.

Personality: Kind, but his position in society has made him acustom to being treated a certain way. When this expectation is not met, he becomes sarcastic and slightly rude.
Apparel: While in Europe his appearl consists of a classic suit. Here in Africa his wear the traditional safari outfit: khaki pants with a khaki jacket.
Weapon: .450 hunting rifle and a utility knife

Appearance: Medium high with blue eyes and blond hair.

Personality: Aristocratic in every sense. She bemands her version of respect and with raise hell if she doesn't get it. She does succeded in being a prim and proper lady. Well, in Europe.
Apparel: In Europe she wears the finest dresses. In Africa they are still made from the finest materiel, but the dresses are more light weight making ti easier to get around.
Weapon: None, unless you count her ability to annoy.
Other: She is married to Jim Mason.

Gender: Female
Appearance: Dark brown hair that almost looks black. Dark brown eyes.

Reason for being in Africa: Her brother and his friend had been last heard of being in Africa. She is looking for them, unsure if they are alive or not.

Personality: Richard is a friendly man by nature, but he views newly arrived Europeans as a liability, and is slow to trust them. He has several native and Boer companions, and has only loose ties to British loyalty. Richard also has a long-lasting hate for leopards, after losing a closr friend to one while on safari. Since then, he has shot them on sight.
Armament: .416 Gibbs-Farquharson rifle carried for dangerous game. Braddock also owns a .455 Webley howdah pistol, and a 12-guage shotgun.




Other: Richard wears a white cotton shirt with thick cotton trousers. He wears leather riding boots with reinforced ankles and shins to protect against snakebites. He wears a felt slouch hat in appropriate weather, but also goes bareheaded, using the hat as a gun rest.
