"Teague, Bardon Teague," he said as he hesitantly took the hands of both travelers. Though older than both, the manner of the gentleman was enough to set the quiet man on the edge of discomfort. As for the lady, well....generally they were not so outspoken in his town. He supposed this must be part of the outside world that he would have to get used to.

"And I'd be delighted," he added in response to the spoken question. Bardon removed some food from his pack and settled himself on the grass. My, but it felt good to stretch his leg! "A quest, you say?" He asked mildly. "I thought those had gone out of fashion years ago. Something young lords did for amusement."

George said nothing to Elenor in reply but merely looked hurt and went to featch a wine skin out of the cart whitch he offered to Bardon sitting down next to him.

"A Pleasure to meet you Bardon, here have some wine, nothing like wine to go with good bread and cheese." He offerd the man some of his own food to go with his own. No one would ever say that George Carter was anything but generouse...especially if they were girls like Elenor. "Well Miss Elenor can tell you more about it than I can." He smiled though his tone was still a bit sulky from her words.

She looked down just to see her other ferret Smudge nip Freedom, making her turn and chase the male around.

Piper frowned, "Uh oh. Freedom, Smudge no!!" Refusing to listen to her, the ferrets scampered off, running lightly over Bardon's good leg.

"Oh dear. I'm sorry about that sir!" She nodded to Bardon as she jogged over to where he lay. To the ferrets, Piper snapped, "Here! Now!" Meekly, they obeyed, scampering up her clothes to settle on her shoulders.

With a sigh, Piper smiled warily at the strangers, "I'm sorry about them. Fiesty little animals they are."

George looked up and smiled widely at the new comer, and he went to kneel infront of her. "Ahh, beautiul lady, mistress of the wood. Be not sorry, aplogize's are not meant for some one such as yourself." He took her hand and kissed it.

((Again I want to clarify I was asked to play George until Anduril came back.))

Eleanor rolled her eyes. "Not again. George, remember what I mentioned."

Bardon jerked back as the ferrets scampered across his leg. "Oh! Um..." he hadn't noticed the girl before, "It's fine. Don't worry yourself."

He turned from the other man as he went about his....exhortations. Bardon still wasn't sure what to make of Master Carter yet. Such a short acquaintance as theirs was to be, he was sure, wouldn't matter anyway. Unless the man knew of a city needing a tanner. He decided to ignore all that and continue the conversation.

"Many an old man will tell stories in taverns if you buy them enough ale. Perhaps you could try that way?" His eyes twinkled. Having not thought about a goddess one way or the other, he couldn't quite take her solemn tone seriously.

Piper watched George curiously as he approached her, kneeling down in front of her in an attempt to possibly charm her as he brought her hand to his lips, altough she was not sure.

Her brown eyes widened in amusement as she answered, "Thank you for your kindness sir, however my apology stands despite your attempts
to charm every other woman that passes you by."

She smiled at Bardon, suddenly unsure of how to acknowledge his response, "Alright. Thank you." On her right shoulder, Freedom affectionately rubs herself against Piper's cheek.

Piper then turned her attention back to George, "My name is Piper Rivers. My ferrets Smudge + Freedom you seemed to have met already. What may I ask, how are you doing on this fine, fine day?"

George got up, and as he had with Eleanor, bowed as he introduced himself. "I am George Carter, and may I say, Lady Piper, your name befits you as well as a crown fits a princess."

Eleanor smiled and held out her hand. "Eleanor Smith." She said with a smile. "I'm on a quest to find the item spoken by villagers, you may know the one I seek."

Piper kept her amused gaze on George Carter, "I'm very flattered Mr. George Carter."

She smiled at Eleanor, taking her hand, "Nice to meet you. Item? The one associated with the Goddess? I've heard of it. Might I join you on your quest?"

"The pleasure is all mine Lady Piper, and I do not try to charm every other woman that passes me by, only the cream of the crop. And in that I am compelled for is it not a man's duty to pay homage to those things whitch are greatest?." He asnwered refering to her previouse comment.

George felt Bardon's eyes upon him but shrugged it off. He wanted to be freinds with this man and had taken an instant likeing to him, but on the other hand he didn't seem intrested in joining them on Elenor's quest, whitch, was a pity. Much as he deeply enjoyed the company of women, his closest freinds had all been men and he missed them more than he would ever admit.

Despite this, his heart lept with joy when Piper said she would like to accompany them. He was still annoyed with Elenor and Piper would be excelent company on the quest. Not to mention the fact that he was intrigued by the ferrests and was wondering what sort of pet would best suit him and inhance his image.


(just becuase i'm dyslexic and can't spell or read, Nienna, is her name Pip - er, or is it Pipe - er. Becuase i'm not sure how to read it.)

[quite alright Anduril it's pronounced Paiper if you say it out loud, hence it would probably be Pip-er. *nod nod* Hope that was of some help to you. Welcome back btw.]

Piper's eyebrows raised, suddenly impressed, intrigued by the man who stood before her, "You have a very interesting way of thinking Mr. Carter."

She considered asking him if he even had any guy friends, but decided againest it in case he found it rude. Instead she responded to Eleanor, "My Pleasure."

Her free hand went to her ferret Freedom, gently stroking the little animal while Smudge curled up at her feet.

George smiled with delight "It is a real pleasure to meet a woman who understands me m'lady, indeed counting you I have met only four, and one was my Mother."

He reached out to stroke Freedom letting his hand brush against hers. "Might I be introduced to your freinds? If we are to be traveling together surely it is best that we all...get to know each other...as best possible." He let his eyes meet hers for a moment as he said this.

All the while turning his back on Elenor. Stupid girl. These tiny snubs were really the furthest he would ever go unless really provoked though. He was a gentleman for all his faults.
