Florences mouth was watering at the thought. "Oh, yes that is a brilliant idea!" She pointed at a place on the map of the ship. "Shall we go to the cafe at the front of the ship?" she asked.

"Sounds lovely," said Aunt Felicia.
"Yes, let's hurrry!" said Tiara already heading for the spot.
Renee walked along side Florence, "So where exactly are from?" she asked.
"I'm from America myself, and so are my relatives.
They are taking me back to my parents in Maine, after
my vacationing with them."

Florence sighed, she knew the questiom would come. "well,"she said,"My parents are rich snd superior they think money makes you important, it makes out who you are: the more money, the better. I myself have never believed in that. They want me to be like them, though hopefully I will never be. It was my 18th birthday a couple of weeks ago. They used this as an excuse to buy me first class tickets to america, where I am to work. A well paying job. It is owned by a family friend. He is a ghastly man. thinks very highly of himself. They want me to work for him. They probably want me to marry him awell. Lots of money you see. I know that sounds over the top but..." Her voice trailed off. Her bright smile had been replaced by a mournfull frown...

"I'm sorry." said Renee. "I suppose though..." she went on, "That someday they will see the true worth of their riches, hopefully not before it's too late.
I'm sure you'll never be like them." she told Florence in as reasurring a voice as she could. "You've already
displayed too much kindness to see that such a nature isn't in your soul."

Florence smiled. "Thank you. I hope they will." They had reached the front of the ship.

Tiara gasped at the room as they walked in. It was so wide, and so richly decorated. The room was quite full of passengers, but the line at the food counter was small.

"Let's hurry before the line gets too long." Renee
said leading the way to the counter.

Uncle stood in front to make the order.
"I'll have banana split father." said Tiara, "with extra hot fudge"
she said looking at the man over the counter, "and extra cherries on top."
Uncle Harrison smiled, "Yes, I expected as much," he said.
"And Renny dear you'll be having the same?"

"Yes, uncle Harrison." she answered.
"And you dear?"
Aunt Felicia eyed the menu, "I think I'll have the frozen strawberry- banana yogurt please."
"Fine," he said. "And I'll take a root beer float, and a small hot chocolate.
And what would you like Florence?"

Elizabeth sighed, the Ship had finally left England behind as it sailed out of the port, she turned round.
"What to do now?" she asked herself, she walked over to a map and studied it.
"The cafe" she decdied finally, she turned and headed inside, the bright outside melting into the dark colours of inside.

She went over and sat down at a table, quite near to a large family ordering banna splits, and other sweet things like that, Elizabeth sat and watched them when the waiter came over to her.
"Would you like anything miss?" he asked, she snapped her head towards him, she looked down at the menu and studied it.
"Hmm can i have the cornish cream tea?" she asked
"Certainly miss" he replied smiling and noting down the order and walking off, leaving Elizabeth to ponder on her thoughts

Just before the family had sat down to eat their meal
they heard the loud sounds of the boat as it was now ready to leave the harbor.
"Oh! It's taking off now!" Renee said heading towards the top of the ship. "I have to wave goodbye! I don't want to miss it!"
"I'm comming too!" cried Tiara. "We'll be back father."
Uncle Harris and Aunt Felicia wanted to witness the takeoff as well. "If you could just hold that order for us
we'll be right back." He told the counter man.

"Certainly." said the worker with a light laugh.

Renee stepped out onto the sqeezing her way through the crowd to the edge of the ship. Looking down she saw a blond haired girl rush in through the door only moments before it closed up.

"It's moving!" said Tiara exitedly. "Goodbye England!"
she yelled as loud as she could, while waving to everyone.

"Farewell England!" yelled Renee. "'Til we return again!"

The ship moved out faster than the girls had expected it too. They looked down and watched the waves of water the ship pushed aside from its bottom edges.
It didn't take long before the boat was out of the harbor. "Goodbye all." said Phillip staring back at the crowd.
Uncle Harris and Aunt Felicia waved gracefully with their hands high in the air.
"Goodbye beautiful country."

Florence scooped up another spoon of the rich ice cream. So. That was it. No going back now. Off to america. She frowned. All thes loveley things surrounding her. The people the food the decorations. It was all lovely. Where Florence was going it wouldn't be though. She felt sick. "Excuse me," she said pushing her chair back, it made a scraping noise,"I am feeling slightly sick, could you excuse me for a moment while I rush off to the bathroom?"

"Sure." said Renee. She could tell something was bothering her.

Elizabeth watched a girl stand up on the table next to her, claiming she felt ill.
Elizabeth watched the girl, feeling as if she knew her, she shook her head pushing the thought away, as her cream tea arrived.

She poured some tea into a cup, added suger and milk then took a sip, she then placed it down in the saucer and picked up a scone and broke it in half, she then put a large dollop of cornish clotted cream on, then a large dollop of homemade straberry jam and then took a bite, washing it down with another sip of tea.

Florence returned to the table a few minutes later. "I'm sorry. I feel better now." She pushed her hair back behind her ears and looked once again around the room. People were laughing and talking. Eating and drinking. She saw a girl that seemed vaguely familiar. She had shoulder lenghth brown hair and dark blue eyes.

Renee noticed the girls looked at each other.
"Do you know her?" she asked Florence.

Meanwhile...

Cassy walked around the 3rd class floor, relieved that England was now behind her. "I can't believe I made it this far!" she thought. Suddenly she jumped hearing a man scream.
"Noo!" he yelled falling into the hallway where she stood.
A little afraid, she drew back. Then 2 men in uniforms, no doubt the ship police-darted up and grabbed the man by the arms.
"That's enough!" one of them yelled. "You're going to straight to a cell room."
"I'm telling you," the man went on, "I just lost my ticket. If you let me go I could look for it and-"
"Sorry," said the other policeman, "We have our orders."

Cassy stared for a moment, but quickly snapped out of her daze. "I need to hide!" she thought frantically.
"I can't let them know I don't have a ticket either!"

She turned and went back the way she'd come. Looking around for an empty closet or something, anything that she could hide in until they stopped looking at people's tickets.
