Lovett had stumbled up to a room and thrown all of her luggage on a bed then in a sudden exhaustion fallen upon it in a deep sleep, she rolled over and felt something sharp poking her. The poking woke her and she pulled one of her cooking knives out from her bag of cutlery. "You wont be making a pie out of me, Geraldo!" she smiled morbidly at the knife. She was very sentimental in that way, naming things that she spent lots of time with... inanimate things...
"Oh!" She jumped up, throwing the knife onto the bed where it bounced off some luggage and fell onto the floor, she fled the room in search of people.
She hastened into the dining room and ran directly into Lucius. "Bloody-- HEY!" She grinned at the crowd. "I found people on this bloody barge. It's about time, you know, I've been here hours... Fell asleep, I did... Very tired." She smiled her unnerving smile at the group as she brushed off the front of Lucius. "So very sorry about runnin' into ya like that, bloke. Got in a rush."

Sparkle let out a silly little laugh as the Horseman spoke of not being fond of water. "Anything is better than that leaking and creaking mansion," she giggled. "Kit seems to get better and better at throwing these kind o parties.."
With tingling bracelets, she turned and gazed around the dining room. Alot of guests had retired for the night; Sparkle, though, was not sleepy at all and had thought of a nice little scheme. She took a porcelain plate and decorated it with some muffins and other cookies and in the galley of the ship she put up a kettle with water. Now, she thought, if someone particular was going to come downstairs, then she would be the first to offer tea and cookies. Finding herself very clever, Sparkle seated herself in a comfortable cchair and waited in the dining room for any of the guests to arrive.

“Good morning! Or early afternoon,” Georgiana called as she meandered into the dining room. She spotted Sparkle seated on a chair, and waved friendlily. Georgiana may have overslept somewhat, but she still appeared as fresh as a daisy. “How fun last night was,” she remarked, as she sidled over to the plate covered with cookies and muffins. Selecting a blueberry muffin, she bit into it. “Mmm! Oh, yum. These are for everyone, aren’t they? I’d hate to be a greedy guts, you know.”
She was already fixing herself a mug of strong coffee. “Are we the only ones up so far then?” she continued. She took another muffin. “Sorry, dear, I’m absolutely ravenous.” She flashed a grin.

Sparkle looked up in disappointment when it turned out to be Georgianna, who had entered the dinning room. "Oh, eh, good morning.." she said, but couldn't manage to smile. "I was expecting somebody else, but-" Sparkle stopped in her midsentence and looked horrified at how Georgianna boldy had started to plunder her specially decoreated cookie plate. Hardly able to process the disappointment that a particular person had not the first to come and join her for the tea-party, she stared aghast at Georgianna, who'd now started on a muffin.
"Yes.." she pouted, hoping that she would find more cookies in the galley, to redecorate her precious little plate later. "We're the only ones up yet."

The Headless Horseman awoke in his room and stretched and yawned. "Oh, what a pleasant evening" he said, "so very tiring though" as he rubbed his aching back, "Eliza definitely needs some lessons in avoid bumps in the road" he added as he arose and got dressed, as dapper as ever.
He opened the cabin door, turned to make sure his room was shipshape, and turned again to leave and got a faceful of horse whiskers.
"AAARGH" he cried, completely taken off-guard by the horse blocking the door. "Eliza whatever are you d--" he started to say, but he stopped when he saw that the horse was moving its legs nervously and its head was hung low, in a sheepish sort of way. In its mouth was a small bunch of flowers (where she had got them from he couldn't guess) and she held them out to him, whilst looking up with big puppy eyes.
"Thank you Eliza" said The Horseman as he patted her on the neck, "no need to apologise for last night, you were just tired that's all". The horse nodded. "Let's go and get your breakfast, and then I'll have my own". He held onto the the flowers.
.........
After leaving Eliza fed and happy galloping around the deck, the Horseman made his way to the dining room. He thought he could hear voices already, even though it was quite early.

Deciding to be friendly and sociable, Georgiana pulled up an armchair alongside Sparkle’s, settling down with her coffee and half-eaten muffin. She smiled at the sparkly woman, hardly affected by her obvious disappointment. “I’m sure everyone else will start to wake up soon,” she said, sipping at her coffee. “Mmm! This is my caffeine fix taken care of for the day! Lovely food, by the way.” She reached out for a cookie, polishing it off at almost lightning speed, before she politely offered the plate to Sparkle. “Aren’t you hungry, dear?” she said, kindly. She only realised now just how much she’d eaten… and how disappointed Sparkle looked.
“Now,” she said, observing Sparkle with her usual smile, “I rather think you were expecting someone else. Would that someone happen to be the Horseman then? Call me psychic, but I think you might be keen on him. Don’t worry, you can tell me.” She turned towards her new acquaintance properly, ready to settle into a companionable girly talk. Just at that moment, she heard footsteps coming towards the dining room.

The Horseman jauntily walked into the dining room, marvelling at the ships splendid sight. He spotted Sparkle and Georgiana sitting together and he was very aware they stopped talking when he entered and that they were both looking at him.
He nonchalently looked in the mirror as he went past, to make sure he looked just the ticket.

Sparkle threw Georgianna an if-you-are-going-to-say-one-more-word-I-will-kill-you-look and smiled at the Horseman who'd just entered the dinning room. "Oh Mr. Algie!" she squeeled, flushing slightly. "Would you care for some cookies?" She offered him her porcelain plate, but realised just too late that there were only some crumbs left.
"Oh!" she sighed. "You have to blame her for that." Sparkle nodded to Georgianna, but for the rest ignored her presence. "A cup of tea perhaps?" She threw the Horseman one of her sweet smiles and passed him a cup. _________________

Georgiana blinked at Sparkle, slightly baffled, before taking the last cookie from the plate her new "friend" offered to the Horseman. Her smile still remained, though she felt ever-so-slightly-saddened. Still, making new friends took time! She had to pursue this new friendship with the determination of a rabid dog! Okay, maybe not a rabid dog... they weren't so nice...
"My dear Horseman," she exclaimed. "We were just talking about you." She stage-winked to Sparkle, grinning.

[ I think Georgianna has a death wish.. And Algie is just too polite XD ]
Sparkle couldn't help but sense the disappointment of the Horseman when she presented the empty plate with no cookies and thought with resentment about how her clever scheme was ruined.
In order to make up the lack of cookies, Sparkle, over-excitedly, poured the Horseman a cup of tea. But upon hearing Georgianna's words, she turned her head so quickly, that half of the tea was poured next to the cup.
"Were we?" she giggled, slamming the teapot on the table. "Oops.. No I thought we were just discussing the generalness of cookies, tea, horses and early mornings.." _________________

Georgiana looked up in surprise as Sparkle spilt half the Horseman’s tea. Seeing how uncomfortable she looked, Georgiana decided to be charitable to this person, who she had already decided to make her friend, no matter how much she made herself despised! “Hmm, oh yes,” she agreed. “I quite forgot. We were discussing chocolate chip cookies, don’t you know.” She flashed a smile at Sparkle. And then winked significantly again, to show that she was playing along with her game, to be nice. “Speaking of which – golly gosh, I seem to have eaten all the biscuits. I do apologize, my dear Horseman.”

"That's quite alright" said The Horseman to Georgiana as he carefully lifted his overflowing teacup whilst being careful not to spill any of the tea that fell into the saucer. Only a person with nerves of steel and a steady hand could master just a feat.
The cup was just too small for the Horseman's fingers and with a slight wobble, the tea cup went onto its side, pouring onto the floor between them.
"Oh, bother" said The Horseman. "But no matter" he said with a chuckle. He took out a whistle, and blew into it, although there was no sound to be heard. "Just you wait and see" he said to the ladies. All of a sudden there was a mighty clip-clop from above, thundering hooves, and then silence. A little PING and the elevator doors from the other end of the dining room opened, and out sped Eliza, like a Grand National runner. She galloped up to the Horseman her tongue hanging out, and breathing heavily, whilst anxiously looking around.
The Horsemen pointed to the spilt tea on the floor, and simply said. "T--". Before he could finish Eliza was there greedily licking up every last drop. Eyeing the teapot when she had finished, the Horseman said "No more for you" and with a not unhappy snort, Eliza went back towards the elevator at the double.
The Horseman turned back to his bemused companions, as he poured himself another cup. "She enjoys her tea" he said as he sat down with his fresh and not so full, cup.

Marie had spent and absolutely dreadful night outside on the deck. Unaware that her bags had been moved out of the Captain's quarters where she'd put them to lie haphazardly in the hallway, she had stayed up well past everyone else's bed time reading by the pool. What a shock it was to try and return to her room, only to realize that the door was locked and the other rooms had been occupied. So, in a truly ghastly turn of events, she'd slept on the deck. Luckily for her, it hadn't rained.
"Georgiana!"
Hoping her voice was as shrill as she felt, she stalked right into the dining room as she heard voices coming from there. Dressed this time in a pale pink and blue sun dress, she had a leash tied around her pet sheep, which she'd smuggled onto the boat. If that headless man could have his horse prancing about, certainly she could have her precious one.
"Georgiana!" she said again, stopping next to the woman with a small smile to Sparkle. "I'm afraid I was kicked out of the room I had chosen and all the others are occupied. I was going to surprise you by being your...what's it called? Roommate? Yes, I was going to surprise you by being your roommate, but your door is locked, Georgiana! Honestly, all my bags were thrown out into the hall and I was made to sleep on the deck. What if it had rained, Georgiana!"
In a huff, Marie found a breakfast pastry and quickly ate it, her sheep following along behind her docilely.

"How functional!" Sparkle exclaimed. "A horse that can vaccuum!" But since Sparkle didn't quite like smelly animals, she was relieved that Eliza made her way back to the elevator again.
She watched Marie with raised eyebrows and then stared at her pet sheep, briefly wondering whether any of the other guests would have brought a monkey or elephant.
Sparkle sipped her tea graciously and asked Marie sweetly: "Does your animal have a function?"

A black Rolls-Royce Phantom came flying down the road towards the docks. As it came to a screeching halt, the passenger door opened and a young woman in a long black dress came stumbling out. She straightened herself out, fixed her cloche hat that covered her new bob haircut.
As she walked around the side of the car, her trunk was already out, and waiting to be wheeled up to the ship.
"Oi vey! Late as usual," she muttered to herself as she climbed the ramp up to one of the most magnificent ships she had ever seen. While she most adoringly loved the previous residences for this annual gathering of ... Halloween mischief ... she found herself extremely excited to be on a ship once more. Probably more so because she would have her own cabin, rather than a seat in a room with 50 others. She loved ships, and sailing. Something about them just seemed right ... although, with these passengers ....
Once on board, she glided through the hallways until she found her cabin. As she was already so late, she just left her luggage inside and wandered off to find the others.
"Hopefully," she thought as she meandered through the ship, "being on a ship in the middle of the ocean will end the tradition of ... mishaps. Although ..."
She stumbled upon several of the guests in what appeared to her to be a most magnificent buffet. She was surprised and most happy to see all the familiar faces, even the one without a face, all together for what would be a most interesting Hallowfest.
