I'm glad that actually came across as making sense. I wasn't sure if it would.

Also, Morfindes just said the killer was humming "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend". Marie likes "anything shinny" according to her profile. True, both Sparkle and HH made comments to liking sparkly things as well. It's still something to think about.
The first lines to "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" "The French are glad to die for love, They delight in fighting duels, But I prefer a man who lives and gives Expensive jewels."
To me this kinda might refer to Sparkle or Marie. It could be Sparkle singing about shiny things and framing Marie, or vice versa... For some reason, it could be to throw me off, I just cannot see Fragile singing this song as a clue, BUT I could be totally off my rocker... And the other clues are REALLY good in the case against her. My big list is still looking something like this:
Lady Night Sparkle Fragile Marie
In semi that order. For all the previous reasons stated... basically.
[edit]
OMG. I think it's Marie. My head hurts.
PS: Candice, I just got the "pun" in your name... lol! I kept reading it and finally had to read it out loud to myself... Cute.

I think the main part of this clue is the killer is female. Well, it's not like that wasn't statically more probable anyway.
In support of my theory of Fragile: She is a musician, and she likes singing. I agree, Mrs. Lovett: it's not the song you'd expect her to sing, but that's why I think it's tricky. But this song also makes me very suspicious of Marie (who is my second, very very close choice after Fragile), Sparkle, and Georgiana.
Mrs. Lovett wrote: I want to know how I've NOT read this story before! Now I must! I probably have it in my "Complete tales and poems of EAP" But I just haven't had time to read it. Now I'm intrigued! And I don't have TIME to be intrigued! lol! It'll definitely be in there. She's in two: "How to Write a Blackwood Article" and "A Predicament." They're actually Poe's parodies of the penny-dreadful magazines he was writing for at the time, so they're not great spine-tinglers but funny if you read them in the right spirit. Nurrantiel Mashiara wrote: Psyche making such a clear cut case made me suspicious. So I looked at her profile. Not much, but she does mention some movies with the date after them, which could match up with the wine date? Also, she dislikes disorder (flour) and spiders (wrapping?) and likes the Phantom of the Opera (face drawing?).
I'm not framing Fragile. Not at all. No, I just wanted to get my theory out there because I thought that'd be the only post I'd have time for today, even though I'd been thinking a lot about the clues and everything. I wanted to know whether anyone else thought it was plausible, and I'm happy they think so!

I'm really liking Marie for this. The more I hear the more I really think that it's her. ESPECIALLY with the new Diamonds clue. "The French are are glad to die for love?" I mean, come ON.

And KIT! Kit made a comment early in this thread saying "[you are seriously drawing attention to yourself miss murderer you]" while everyone was joking how Marie was suspicious for being so suspicious of everyone.

I'm really suspicious of Marie, too, but I feel like the clues have to stretch a little bit more to fit her. With Fragile it's much more straight forward, but not totally obvious, and in previous Hallowfests we've always made the mistake of stretching the clues too much. (I, for one, am totally guilty of that. ) The only place where you really have to stretch it with Fragile is with the winter and the flour.
The thing that holds me back, though, is the fact that Marie Antoinette was infamous for her extravagant taste, and here we have wine at one murder and a song about diamonds at the next. Also, Narcissa says in her profile that she likes money and extravagance, so there's a connection there, too. And the flour clue fits Marie much better than it does Fragile.
So, those are my thoughts. I'm still a little suspicious of Lady White Night, too, but it's too late for that right now... I need to go to bed!

I love you guys, like so much. Really, you're all convincing ME now that I must be the murderer, even though I know darn well that I'm not.
That said, my vote is for Lady White Night, despite still thinking that it might be HH being sneaky.
@ML: I'm busy BECAUSE I spent so much time last night looking through old threads and then had to catch up on work stuff so I didn't have time to post my findings. =P Just putting that out there. Also, by copycats I meant characters who had been in the Hallowfest before. I've participated in two, but Marie hasn't.

The song "Diamonds are a girl's best friend" was made for the musical Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and appeared in Moulin Rouge as "Sparkling Diamonds" sung by Nicole Kidman - a blonde.
The Headless Horseman is definitely a gentleman - and I'm not sure whether Sparkle is blonde. But she is definitely sparkly - and likes diamonds.
Again the Joker reference may also lead to JF --> Mr. Horseman.
I also feel like accusing Sparkle because of the her connection to diamonds and sparkly things.
She might have been baking for her Horseman when Narcissa surprised her in the kitchen and therefore killed her. Lucius might have been a mercy kill so he wouldn't be too lonely when his wife was gone. Also the Malfoys were the only official couple on the cruise, perhaps Sparkle thought that she and HH should have the honour to themselves.
I don't see many connections to the murder of Richard. He states in his bio that he "dislikes ... Twilight, and anything that everyone likes". Everyone else seems to like the Headless horseman so that might be Sparkle's motive of getting rid of him.
BUT when this is said, I think we have a good case against Fragile too.
And I've always been suspiciously suspicious of Marie Antoinette because there are so many things that seem to fit so well with her - or almost fit in - with all the murder cases.
But the last thing is that I think PD is on to something with Damon and his grapejuice. It's a remarkable thing to be fond of and he mentions it several times in the Cruise-thread AND in his bio.

Okay. I'm still fully convinced that Lady White Night is the killer and here follows my evidence (of which some has already been mentioned by others).
The case of Narcissa and Lucius:
- Lady White Knight states in her profile that she likes to shop for Ninja Stars, which happen to be these kind of things, which fit perfectly to slit someone's throat.
- Flies on an umbrella, perhaps killing Narcissa was out of jealousy of her being a witch.
- White Night --> a symbol for snow = flour
- Lady White Night told that she lived in Darlington caste, which is mentioned in a Sherlock Holmes novel to be a smuggler's place. Since the Malfoys also stashed stolen goods in their house.. they could be comptetition?
- Dislike of own cooking.. and she's eating in almost every post and telling people that the casualties could die of having eaten too much.
The case of Richard:
- She likes to : "sneaking around stealthily in the twilight, dancing gracefully in the moonlight" -->could be Twilight references.
- Wine from California/Italy points to Lady White Night's passion of travelling the world.
The case of Morfinde:
- Morfinde was lady in waiting to become Queen of Lothlorien. Lady White Night's usual banners picture Arwen. Morfinde--> Lotholorien--> Arwen banner.
- Wrapping in toilet paper --> mummies --> Egypt points to Lady White Night's passion of travelling the world and dislikes spiders: Shelob kind of wrapping people up.
- Joker face --> Batman the Dark Knight --> reference to Lady White Night.
- Lady White Night states in her profile that she loves to buy burlesque outfits. The song Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend, that was hummed by the killer, is from the movie Gentlemen prefer Blondes and on the cover of the movie both lead actresses are pictured in burlesque outfits.
Sidenotes:
- Lady White Night is the typical innocent character, who would not be suspected.
- On the point of being to obvious (since she probably killed her husband); I think that Lady White Night's too obvious profile, could also provide her with a shield of not being suspected, because she is so obvious. (Am I still making sense? )
- Lady White Night had made some very suspicious, but inconspicuous remarks:
"White Night trailed off as her interest was soon captured by the circus made up of the mingling crowd whose individuals more of less managed to conceal their joy, shock or horror.
Taking in the colourful scene being acted out before her, White Night realised exactly why she had accepted the invitation to the cruise.
"This will most definitely be a cruise to remember!", she muttered. "
"Unfortunately, because she was not familiar with the interior of the gigantic ship she had found herself to be..
"Well, I wouldn't say lost, just not in the place I expected!", she muttered."
" She darted to the... deck to watch the coastline fading away in the horizon. It was the twilight hour, between day and night and White Night felt an ominous shudder. "
- I thought it also to be remarkable that two death were connected to Bread and Wine. (Symbols of the body and the blood of Jesus Christ in Christianity if I'm not mistaken)
- Also, the fact that Morfinde did not wake up during the mummification.
Well, I hereby rest my case.
EDIT: I love how the Headless Horseman is Sparkle's motive for killing others. Very creative.

Man, I think the biggest thing is, for me, not "talking to the ghosts" yet even though we have the clues from Kit. I feel like I need to hear it from them! :/ My list now that I'm not as tired and brain dead:
Lady White Night Fragile Marie
[edit] If I'm at work when voting goes down cast my vote for LWNight...

I always hate this part of the Hallowfest.... everyone makes me feel like a dunce.
What about Georgiana? She has a diamon necklace onboard that she has mentioned several times.
I'm torn between Marie and LWK. But I have a feeling they BOTH are too obvious a person.
Anyway, if the vote comes before I come back mine is foe LWK.

I'm so suspicious of everyone, but LWK was my first real suspicion (check my first vote. ) and I just figure I won't be able to "move on" really until I know if she did it or not. *Sparkle wrote: I agree.. we need to have some more ghost-talk

I think there are many people who could be connected with the diamond thing.. but really it's not the only clue. Since Georgianna doesn't really fit in with the other clues and Lady White Night does, I'm sticking with her as my vote.
