Smiling slightly as she watched him depart, Calista could only feel her esteem for Gareth grow. I truly am in your debt, Calista thought to herself as she watched him for little longer before walking over to wear Darius had set down Rosalina's bags. After she gathered them she picked up her own bags before turning to her sister. "Okay, Ro. Let's get you to your room. Hopefully it will not be in bad shape," she said softly.

Giving her sister a loving smile, Calista adjusted the bags so she could wrap one arm around her sister as they slowly made their way to Rosalina's room. Pushing the door open, Calista could only sigh at the sight of the room. The place was covered with dust, but considering the condition of the main house, it could have been a lot worse. After setting the bags down in one of the least dusty areas, Calista turned toward her sister. "I am going to get some materials to clean your room with," she told her before heading to the old storage area to take out a broom-like object and some old cloths. Next she found a bucket and walking the short distance to the river, drew some water before carrying everything back to Rosalina's room. "Why don't you relax for a bit," Calista suggested to Rosalina softly as she started to clean.

Rosalina stayed in the room and sat on the bed. How long has it been since she was here last. Crying she curled up on the bed. Somehow she knew Darius was there, watching. "Do you hate me?" she asked not looking.

As Darius stepped into the room, Calista tensed for a moment and stopped her cleaning as Darius just glared at her. Biting her lip, Calista was about to turn back to her cleaning when she heard Rosalina crying softly. Walking over to the bed, Calista sat next to her sister and began to tenderly stroke her hair. "It's okay, Ro." Calista whispered gently, glancing over at Darius as Rosalina addressed him.
"I don't hate you, Ro," Darius told her softly as he moved closer to the bed. "I could never hate you," he added before looking over at Calista and shooting her look of contempt, as if he could not stand to be in the same room as her. "I am going to finish cleaning up, Ro," Calista told her sister softly as he gently laid Rosalina's head back on the bed, sensing Darius wanted her in the farthest corner of the room. Slinking to the shadows, Calista continued to clean her sister's room, the dust flying in her face as she did so.

Coughing lightly as the dust clouds surrounded her, Calista waved her hand in front of her face to clear the air before proceeding to continue with the cleaning.

"You are not filthy," Darius told Rosalina softly. "What happened was not of your doing," he said softly and cast an accusatory glance at Calista's back as he uttered the words. "And even if you shunned me, it does not how I feel about you."

"Rosalina, you suffered a trauma. It is natural for you to be scared," Darius said softly, still afraid to move closer to the bed in case he might startle her.

Calista just continued to dust and clean Rosalina's room, breathing in more dust as she did so.

Holding Rosalina close, Darius just rubbed her back gently as he pressed a light kiss to the top of her head.

Finally finished with cleaning Rosalina's room, Calista paused to catch her breath. Small puffs of dust were matted in her blonde hair and light streaks of dirt stained her skin. Turning to check on her sister, a small smile traced her lips as she saw Rosalina in Darius' arms. Figuring that her sister would be safe, Calista quietly left her sister's room to clean the guestrooms.

Arriving at one of the guestrooms, Calista sighed at the work before her. Making no comment, she quickly started to clean, coughing even more as dust flew up in her face.

Rocking her gently in his arms, Darius placed a light kiss to the top of Rosalina's head, his heart hardening all the more toward Calista for all that Rosalina had to suffer because of her.

After an hour had passed, Calista finished dusting and cleaning one of the guestrooms. Feeling a bit light-headed, Calista closed her eyes and placed a hand over her forehead as she started to wheeze.
