Finally finished with cleaning the blood off of the floor, Darius put the supplies away before walking over to Rosalina's bed and gently tucking her in. "Sleep, my love. This has been a hard day for you," he said gently before pressing a kiss to her forehead.

And for that I will always be sorry," she whispered, her voice quavering a bit with her sorrow as she reached out and lightly caressed his face before moving forward to place a gentle kiss on his lips. "Calista will never force her love on to you. In deference to the love that she knows you have given to me, she is content to remain a friend for you and nothing more.
